 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE COVERSHEET A-0.0 THE KEY PLAN INDICATES THE
 CONSTRUCTION TYPE AS III-B / FULLY SPRINKLERED. PLEASE
 NOTE THIS IS A 9 STORY BUILDING WITH BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCIES. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2017 FBC-B TABLE 504.4
 FOR A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY TABLE 504.4 INDICATES THE
 MINIMUM BUILDING TYPE WOULD BE I-B CONSTRUCTION. PLEASE
 CORRECT THE PLANS. THANK YOU.
  
 2) THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES THE CONTRACT VALUE
 IS $70,000.00 DOLLARS IN VALUE. DISPROPORTIONATE COST.
 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 202.4.1. PLEASE
 PROVIDE A LETTER EITHER FROM THE CONTRACTOR OR DESIGNER
 OF RECORD ON THEIR LETTERHEAD WHERE UP TO 20 % OF THE
 CONTRACT VALUE ($14,000.00) IS GOING TO BE SPENT IN
 ACCESSIBLE UPGRADES TO THE PROJECT. IF ALL EXISTING
 CONDITIONS ARE COMPLETED (COMPLIED) BEFORE
 DISPROPORTIONATION COST IS MET A LETTER IS NOT
 REQUIRED. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE:
 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 202.4.1
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST. ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN
 ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE
 DEEMED DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN
 THE COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION TO
 THE PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COSTS THAT MAY BE COUNTED AS
 EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE
 ALTERED AREA; (II) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING
 RESTROOMS ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS INSTALLING GRAB BARS,
 ENLARGING TOILET STALLS, INSULATING PIPES, OR
 INSTALLING ACCESSIBLE FAUCET CONTROLS; (III) COSTS
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES, SUCH
 AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT,
 INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT
 TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING
 AN INACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.
  
 2A) SHEET A-1.0. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT 2 OF THE EXISTING
 DOORWAYS (DOORS 303 & 306) WILL NOT COMPLY WITH THE
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION CODE 404.2.4 MANEUVERING
 CLEARANCES. DOORS. MINIMUM MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT
 DOORS AND GATES SHALL COMPLY WITH 404.2.4. MANEUVERING
 CLEARANCES SHALL EXTEND THE FULL WIDTH OF THE DOORWAY
 AND THE REQUIRED LATCH SIDE FOR SIDE CLEARANCE. SEE
 FIGURE 404.2.4.1.(A) A REQUIRED 18 INCHES ON THE LATCH
 SIDE OF THE DOORWAY.
  
 2B) THE EXISTING RESTROOM, ROOM NUMBER 315 DOES NOT
 COMPLY WITH THE RESTROOM REQUIREMENTS. IN THE 2017
 FBC-PLUMBING CODE REVIEW SECTION 403.3.3 WHERE
 ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS ARE EITHER ONE STORY ABOVE OR
 BELOW THE SPACE REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED WITH TOILET
 FACILITIES SHALL NOT EXCEED A DISTANCE OF 500 FT. IF
 THE EXISTING RESTROOM QUALIFIES THEN SIGNAGE WOULD BE
 REQUIRED WHERE THE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS ARE LOCATED.
 SEE ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 703.1. IF THE ACCESSIBLE
 RESTROOMS ARE OVER THE ALLOWABLE TRAVEL DISTANCE THEN
 THE DOLLARS AMOUNT FOR ACCESSIBLE UPGRADES TO THE
 RESTROOM WOULD BE INCLUDED. PLEASE NOTE IF THE DOLLAR
 AMOUNT EXCEEDS THE $14,000.00 DOLLARS YOU WOULD TAKE
 THE VARIOUS ITEMS WITHIN THE EXISTING BATHROOM WHERE UP
 TO $14,000.00 IS TO BE SPENT. THIS WOULD BE ADDED TO
 THE OTHER ITEMS (EXISTING DOORS) FOR YOUR LETTER FOR
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST.
  
 2C) ANOTHER ITEM THAT SHOWS ON THE FLOOR PLAN IS AN
 EXISTING PASS-THROUGH CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT COUNTER.
 CHECK WRITING SURFACES. 904.3.3. CHECK WRITING
 SURFACES. WHERE PROVIDED, CHECK WRITING SURFACES SHALL
 COMPLY WITH 902.3. /902.3 HEIGHT. THE TOPS OF DINING
 SURFACES AND WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES MINIMUM
 AND 34 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
