 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 1- PROVIDE ENGINEERED CALCULATIONS SHOWING THAT THE
 PROPOSED PERGOLA INSTALLATION WILL BE ADEQUATE TO
 RESIST ALL WIND LOADS AND UPLIFT LOADS WITHOUT A
 FOUNDATION AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS SUBMITTED. SEC.
 107.2.1.2 CITY AMENDMENTS. NOTE: BASED ON CITY
 ENGINEERING MAPS THIS AREA IS KNOWN TO HAVE
 QUESTIONABLE SOIL. ENGINEERING CALCULATIONS NEED TO
 TAKE THE SOIL CHARACTERISTICS INTO CONSIDERATION.
 CALCULATIONS TO BE PROPERLY SIGNED AND SEALED AS
 REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 471 F.S. OR CHAPTER 481 F.S.
  
 2- PROVIDE COMPLETE PLANS DRAWN TO SCALE SHOWING ALL
 DIMENSIONS (INCLUDING HEIGHT) AND SPECIFY THE CURRENT
 CODE (FBC-6TH EDITION, 2017), WIND EXPOSURE, WIND LOADS
 (ULTIMATE WIND LOAD AND NOMINAL WIND LOAD) AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. 107.2.1, SEC. 107.3.5.3 CITY AMENDMENTS AND
 SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 3- PROVIDE THE NAME AND SIGNATURE OF THE PERSON
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN. SEC. 107.2.1, SEC.
 107.3.5.3 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 4- PROVIDE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE TYPE OF WOOD
 POSTS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. R407.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. NEED PROTECTION AGAINST DECAY. NOTE:
 NEED SPECIFICATIONS FOR WOOD IN-GROUND INSTALLATION.
  
 5- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. UPDATE VALUATION OR PROVIDE COPY OF SIGNED
 CONTRACTS INCLUDING DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES.
  
 6- RECORDED NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT WILL BE REQUIRED.

 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION &
 REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. (NOTE: SUBMIT OLD DRAWINGS FOR REFERENCE). A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
