 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE COVER SHEET UNDER THE HEADING OF CODE
 INFORMATION DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 2017 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE AS PART OF THE CODE DOCUMENTS THE PLANS
 WERE CREATED WITH. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2017 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE SECTION 101.2 SCOPE. THE PROVISIONS OF
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, EXISTING BUILDING SHALL
 APPLY TO THE REPAIRS, ALTERATIONS, CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY,
 ADDITIONS TO AND RELOCATION OF EXISTING BUILDINGS.
 PLEASE UPDATE THE PLANS.
  
 2) THE COVER SHEET WITH NOT LISTING THE EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE AS ONE OF THE DOCUMENTS THE PLANS WERE
 CREATED, THE OTHER ISSUE IS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE SECTION 301.1. THE REPAIRS,
 ALTERATIONS, CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY, ADDITIONS TO AND
 RELOCATION OF EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE
 OF THE METHODS LISTED IN SECTIONS 301.1.1 THROUGH
 301.1.3 AS SELECTED BY THE APPLICANT.
 301.1.1. PRESCRIPTIVE COMPLIANCE METHOD.
 301.1.2. WORK AREA METHOD. IF THE WORK AREA METHOD IS
 PICKED AT WHAT LEVEL ALTERATION WAS UNDER TAKEN?
 301.1.3. PERFORMANCE METHOD.
  
 3) PLEASE NOTE THIS PERMIT (19120240) IS STRICTLY FOR
 ALTERATIONS OF THE GUESTROOMS. PERMIT (19120241) IS FOR
 PUBLIC SPACES AND GUEST ROOM CORRIDORS. THE PLANS ARE
 SILENT ON THE SAFE GUARDING TENANTS DURING
 CONSTRUCTION, THERE IS NO PHASING SHOWN FOR WORK AREAS.
 WHEN THE CORRIDORS ARE BEING RENOVATED THERE CAN BE NO
 TENANTS IN THE ADJOINING ROOMS. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE FOLLOWING CODE SECTIONS:
  
 3A) 2017 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING SECTION 1501.2 STORAGE &
 PLACEMENT.
 CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STORED
 AND PLACED SO AS NOT TO ENDANGER THE PUBLIC, THE
 WORKERS OR ADJOINING PROPERTY FOR THE DURATION OF THE
 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
  
 3B) 2017 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING SECTION 1501. 3
 ALTERATIONS & REPAIRS. REQUIRED EXITS, FIRE PROTECTION
 DEVICES, AND SANITARY SAFEGUARDS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT
 ALL TIMES DURING ALTERATIONS TO ANY BUILDING.
  
 3C) 2017 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING SECTION 1501.4. MANNER
 OF REMOVAL. WASTE MATERIALS SHALL BE REMOVED IN A
 MANNER WHICH PREVENTS INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS,
 ADJOINING PROPERTIES AND THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.
  
 3D) 2017 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING SECTION 1505.2
 MAINTENANCE OF MEANS OF EGRESS. REQUIRED MEANS OF
 EGRESS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES DURING
 CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, REMODELING OR ALTERATIONS TO
 ANY BUILDING.
  
 4) SHEETS R701C, R701D, R703, R703D, R703E & R704B
 (ACCESSIBLE BATHROOMS) ALL MAKE REFERENCE TO NOTE 100,
 FLOOR TILE. REPLACE AT ACCESSIBLE TUB ROOMS AS REQUIRED
 BY TOILET RELOCATION ONLY. ARE THE TOILETS BEING MOVED
 TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE REQUIRED CLEAR FLOOR SPACE IN THE
 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 604.3.1. THE
 PLUMBING SHEET MAKE NO MENTION OF THE WATER CLOSET
 BEING MOVED.
  
 5) SHEETS R701C, R701D, R703, R703D, R703E & R704B
 (ACCESSIBLE BATHROOMS) ALL MAKE REFERENCE TO NOTE 100,
 FLOOR TILE, TO BE REPLACED AS REQUIRED BY TOILET
 RELOCATION. IF THE WHOLE BATHROOM FLOOR IS BEING
 REPLACED THEN COMPLIANCE WITH FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT
 MUST BE MET.
  
 FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE, VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL
 NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR
 ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE
 QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A
 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE TEST REPORTS (NOT SALES BROCHURES)
 SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH ALL 3 REQUIREMENTS:
  
 5A) FBC-B 2017 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 SLEEPING UNITS OR BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT OR SLEEPING
 UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA WITHIN THE STRUCTURE
 SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION CLASS (IIC) RATING OF
 NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492.SHEET
  
 5B) FBC-B 2017 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS AND SLEEPING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR
 FROM PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND
 TRANSMISSION CLASS (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF
 FIELD TESTED) FOR AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 90.
  
 5C) TYPE III-TYPE V CONSTRUCTION: FBC-B-2017 720.2
 CONCEALED INSTALLATION. INSULATING MATERIALS, WHERE
 CONCEALED AS INSTALLED IN BUILDINGS OF ANY TYPE OF
 CONSTRUCTION, SHALL HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT
 MORE THAN 25 AND A SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX OF NOT MORE
 THAN 450.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 6) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
