2019-11-01 10:46:131. PROVIDE A K-TYPE PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND
 ASSOCIATED SIGNAGE IN KITCHEN AREA.
  
 2. KITCHEN HOOD SUPPRESSION SYSTEM SHALL BE TIED INTO
 THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TO INITIATE A GENERAL
 FIRE ALARM CONDITION.
  
 3. DEEP FAT FRYERS SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH A SEPARATE
 HIGH-LIMIT CONTROL IN ADDITION TO THE ADJUSTABLE
 THERMOSTAT TO SHUT OFF FUEL OR ENERGY WHEN THE FAT
 TEMPERATURE REACHES 475F DEGREES AT 1-INCH BELOW THE
 SURFACE.
  
 4. PROVIDE AN 8" TALL STEEL BAFFLE OR PROVIDE 16" OF
 SPACE BETWEEN THE DEEP FAT FRYER AND SURFACE FLAMES OF
 THE ADJACENT EQUIPMENT.
  
 5. WHERE APPLICABLE, ANY AND ALL WORK ON THE FIRE ALARM
 SYSTEM SHALL BE DONE BY A FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR. A
 SEPARATE SHOP DRAWING COMPLIANT WITH NFPA 72 IS
 REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE
 FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION.
  
 6. ALL KITCHEN EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS SHALL COMPLY
 WITH NFPA 96, STANDARD FOR VENTILATION CONTROL AND FIRE
 PROTECTION OF COMMERCIAL COOKING OPERATIONS.
 EXTINGUISHMENT AND VENTILATION SYSTEM SHOP DRAWINGS
 SHALL BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY FOR APPROVAL.
  
 7. PLEASE PROVIDE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATION SHEETS
 FOR ALL EQUIPMENT TO BE EXCHANGED (I.E. NOZZLES,
 FUSIBLE LINKS, CYLINDERS, ETC.)
