 AND MANY IN CITY PLACE WERE BUILT WITH THE MALL CONCEPT
 IN MIND. THAT BEING SAID THE BACK OF HOUSE CORRIDOR IS
 ACTUALLY AN EXIT PASSAGEWAY BOTH THE SECONDARY MEANS OF
 EGRESS DOOR 120 (FBC-B 402.8.6.1) AND THE STORAGE DOOR
 119 SERVICE AREAS FRONTING ON THE EXIT PASSAGEWAY
 (FBC-B 402.8.7) BOTH REQUIRE 1 HOUR FIRE BARRIER IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 707 AND THE FIRE PROTECTION OF
 OPENINGS IN FIRE BARRIERS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 1
 HOUR, FBC-B 402.8.7, AND TABLE 716.5.

 LATERAL FORCE-RESISTING SYSTEM
 FOR ALL ROOF TOP EQUIPMENT, CURBS, FANS OR A/C STANDS,
 AND OR VENTS, DETAILED ATTACHMENT TO THE ROOF FRAMING &
 DECK AS WELL AS FROM THE CURB OR ROOF STAND TO THE
 EQUIPMENT ABOVE.
  
 2017 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS. LOAD EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
 METHODS OF STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS THAT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT
 EQUILIBRIUM, GENERAL STABILITY, GEOMETRIC COMPATIBILITY
 AND BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MATERIAL PROPERTIES.
 EVERY STRUCTURE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 OVERTURNING EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE LATERAL FORCES
 SPECIFIED IN THIS CHAPTER. SEE SECTION 1609 FOR WIND
 LOADS.
  
 7A) NEITHER THE ARCHITECTURAL SHEETS NOR MECHANICAL
 SHEETS PROVIDE SCREENING DETAILS FOR THE ROOF TOP
 EQUIPMENT OR ANCHORING OF SAID SYSTEM. 2017 FBC-B
 ? 1509.6 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SCREENS.
 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SCREENS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF
 THE MATERIALS SPECIFIED FOR THE EXTERIOR WALLS IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE
 BUILDING. WHERE THE FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE IS GREATER
 THAN 5 FEET (1524 MM), MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SCREENS
 SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING REQUIREMENTS.
  
 7B) 1509.6.1 HEIGHT LIMITATIONS. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
 SCREENS SHALL NOT EXCEED 18 FEET (5486 MM) IN HEIGHT
 ABOVE THE ROOF DECK, AS MEASURED TO THE HIGHEST POINT
 ON THE MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SCREEN.
 EXCEPTION: WHERE LOCATED ON BUILDINGS OF TYPE IA
 CONSTRUCTION, THE HEIGHT OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
 SCREENS SHALL NOT BE LIMITED.
  
 8) SHEET A3.1 SHOWS THE EXISTING AND NEW ROOFTOP
 EQUIPMENT BUT NOT HOW TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE ROOF TOP
 EQUIPMENT. PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017 FBC-B
 SECTION:
 1509.6.4 EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES ON ROOFS OR ELEVATED
 STRUCTURES.
 WHERE EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES REQUIRING ACCESS ARE
