 COMMENTS
 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE: SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 1- ACCORDING TO SEC. R301.2.1.4 FBC-RESIDENTIAL THIS
 BUILDING IS LOCATED IN EXPOSURE "D" NOT "C". REVISE THE
 DESIGN CRITERIA SHOWN ON SHEET A-3 AT THE BOTTOM LEFT
 OF THE PAGE. REVISE THE BUILDING EXPOSURE AND ALL THE
 DESIGN WIND PRESSURES ACCORDINGLY.
  
 2- SPECIFY CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS BY THE BEDROOMS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R315.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL
  
 3- BASED ON THE EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS PROVIDED IT LOOKS
 LIKE THE SECOND FLOOR WINDOW SILL OF THE OPERABLE
 WINDOWS IS LOCATED LESS THAN 24 INCHES ABOVE THE
 FINISHED FLOOR. NEED TO PROVIDE WINDOW FALL PROTECTION
 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R312.2 FBC-RESIDENTIAL
  
 4- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 HANDRAILS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. R311.7.8
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 5- ADDITION IS DESIGNED WITH UNVENTED ATTIC. ARCHITECT
 IS SPECIFYING R-30 ICYNENE SPRAY INSULATION. PROVIDE
 ICC EVALUATION REPORT (2 COPIES) FOR THE ICYNENE R-30
 INSULATION TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. R316
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: ARCHITECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVE THE REPORT IN
 WRITING PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL TO THIS OFFICE
  
 6- REVISE ATTIC ACCESS SIZE SPECIFIED ON THE PARTIAL
 SECOND FLOOR PLAN ON SHEET A-1. SEE SEC. R807
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL AND REVISE AS REQUIRED.
  
 7- SHEET S-2:
 A) TRUSS CONNECTORS ARE NOT CLEAR. CONNECTORS SPECIFIED
 ON THE ROOF FRAMING PLAN AND CONNECTORS SPECIFIED ON
 THE CONNECTOR SCHEDULE SHEET DON'T MATCH. SEE GIRDER
 TRUSS TO TIE BEAM CONNECTION. REVISE AS REQUIRED TO
 MATCH AND CLEARLY SPECIFY THE CONNECTOR FOR ALL TRUSS
 GIRDERS. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 B) REVISE PLYWOOD SHEATHING NAILING SCHEDULE ON SHEET
 S-2. ACCORDING TO SEC. R803.2.3.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL THE
 FASTENER NEED TO BE RING SHANK NAILS. CLEARLY SPECIFY
 RING SHANK NAILS ON THE PLYWOOD SHEATHING NAILING
 SCHEDULE.
  
 8- ENERGY CALCULATIONS SUBMITTED:
 REVISE ENERGY CALCULATIONS TO MATCH PLANS. (A)ACCORDING
 TO PLANS SUBMITTED THERE IS NOT KITCHEN IN THE
 ADDITION. (B) REVISE CEILING R-VALUE TO MATCH PLANS.
 PROVIDE THE NAME OF THE BUILDER. SEC. R101.5.1.1.2
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 9- DESIGNER OF RECORD TO SPECIFY ROOF TILE FASTENING AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.2.1.1 CITY AMENDMENTS. IF
 SPECIFYING SCREWS, THEN SPECIFY SIZE AND NUMBER OF
 SCREWS. IF SPECIFYING ROOF TILE ADHESIVE, THEN SPECIFY
 PADDY SIZE AND PRODUCT APPROVAL IS REQUIRED.
  
 10-PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 (NOTE: THIS MAY BE SUBMITTED LATER AS A DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL. PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION PRIOR TO
 INSTALLATION TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS)
  
 A)ALL WINDOWS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
 B) ALL EXTERIOR DOORS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
 C) WINDOW MULLIONS AS SHOWN ON PLANS. AND REQUIRED:
 CLEARLY SPECIFY MULLION SIZE TO BE USED TO VERIFY
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE CALCULATED DESIGN PRESSURES.
 D)ROOF TILE AND CLEARLY MARK ROOF TILE FASTENING METHOD
 AS REQUIRED BY CITY POLICY FOR ALL ROOFING PERMITS.
 E)ROOF TILE ADHESIVE IF SPECIFIED BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD.
  
 11- DESIGNER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION &
 REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
