 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION.
  
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET LS1.01. SHOWS A DISTANCE OF 4 FEET 5 INCHES
 (53 INCHES) BETWEEN THE WALL AT BATHROOM # 2 AND THE
 CUBICAL WALL ACROSS THE AISLE. SHEET A1.01 IDENTIFIES
 THE DOOR FOR RESTROOM # 2 AS DOOR # 2. SHEET A1.02 IN
 THE DOOR SCHEDULE IDENTIFIES DOOR # 2 AS A 36 INCH WIDE
 DOOR. IN THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION
 1005.7.1 DOORS. DOORS, WHEN FULLY OPENED, SHALL NOT
 REDUCE THE REQUIRED WIDTH BY MORE THAN 7 INCHES (178
 MM). DOORS IN ANY POSITION SHALL NOT REDUCE THE
 REQUIRED WIDTH BY MORE THAN ONE-HALF. THE REQUIRED
 EGRESS WIDTH FOR AN OCCUPANT LOAD OFLESS THAN 50 IS 36
 INCHES, (TABLE 1020.2 2017 FBC-B). ONE/ HALF OF THE
 REQUIRED EGRESS WIDTH WOULD BE 18 INCHES CLEAR AS THE
 DOOR SWINGS. 53 INCHES - 36 INCHES = 17 INCHES. PLEASE
 NOTE 53-34= 19 INCHES CLEAR. NOTE A 34 INCH DOOR WILL
 LEAVE 32 INCHES CLEAR FOR THE RESTROOM AND ALSO LEAVE A
 19 INCH CLEARENCE AS THE DOOR SWINS.
  
 2) SHEET A1.01 & A1.02 BOTH SHOW NEW STOREFRONT GLAZING
 UNITS. THE ARCHITECTURAL SHEETS DO NOT PROVIDE THE WIND
 DESIGN CRITEIA. 2017 FBC-B 1603.1.4 WIND DESIGN DATA.
 THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION RELATED TO WIND LOADS SHALL
 BE SHOWN, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WIND LOADS GOVERN THE
 DESIGN OF THE LATERAL FORCE-RESISTING SYSTEM OF THE
 STRUCTURE:
  
 2.1. ULTIMATE DESIGN WIND SPEED, VULT, (3-SECOND GUST),
 MILES PER HOUR AND NOMINAL DESIGN WIND SPEED, VASD, AS

 4) IDENTIFY GLAZING/ MULLIONS. PLEASE IDENTIFY ON THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL BEFORE SUBMITTING TO DESIGNER OF
 RECORD AND BEFORE SUBMISSION TO THE BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT. FOR ALL PRODUCTS WITH GLAZING, PLEASE
 IDENTIFY THE OPENING WIDTH & HEIGHT, TYPE OF GLAZING,
 MULLION SIZE, LENGTH IF UNREINFORCED OR REINFORCED
 INFORMATION IF REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND ASSOCIATE
 PRESSURES FOR EACH OPENING SIZE. 2017 FBC-B 1405.13.1
 INSTALLATION. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED MANUFACTURER?S INSTRUCTIONS.
 FASTENER SIZE AND SPACING SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH
 INSTRUCTIONS AND SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON MAXIMUM
 LOADS AND SPACING USED IN THE TESTS.
  
 5) W. P. B. 107.3.4.1 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS
 WHICH ARE REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9N-03 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
 FL 61G1-23.015 (2) THE ARCHITECT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
 SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS,
 SHOP DRAWINGS ETC..
  
 6) 107.3.4.2 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF
 THIS SECTION, DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ARE DEFINED AS THOSE
 PORTIONS OF THE DESIGN THAT ARE NOT SUBMITTED AT THE
 TIME OF THE APPLICATION AND THAT ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITHIN A SPECIFIED PERIOD.
 DEFERRAL OF ANY SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL HAVE THE PRIOR
 APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE REGISTERED
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE SHALL LIST
 THE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ON THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED TO THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN
 RESPONSIBLE CHARGE WHO SHALL REVIEW THEM AND FORWARD
 THEM TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITH A NOTATION
 INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE TO
 THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING.
  
 7) SHEET A1.04 WATER CLOSET GRABBARS PLEASE UPDATE THE
 PLAN TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE SECTION 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB BARS. GRAB BARS
 SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A HORIZONTAL POSITION, 33 INCHES
 MINIMUM AND 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR
 MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE GRIPPING SURFACE, NOT
 CENTERLINE.
  
 8) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
