 1) THE COVERSHEET LIST THE PROJECT DATA. THE PLAN
 INDICATES THIS NEW TENANT SPACE IS TO BE A BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCY. CURRENTLY THE SPACE IS A DRUG STORE WHICH IS
 A MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY. PLEASE SEE CHAPTER 10 OF THE
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE SECTION 1001.2.2.1 FOR PARTIAL
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY REQUIREMENTS. WHERE A PORTION OF A
 BUILDING IS CHANGING OCCUPANCIES SECTION 1012 OF THE
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE SHALL APPLY.
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 2) THE SHEET A-1 SHOWS A PROPOSED BEAUTY SHOP/ HAIR
 STYLING SHOP WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 14 PEOPLE. NO
 LIFE SAFETY PLAN WAS SUBMITTED SHOWING THE EGRESS PATH
 FOR THIS TENANT SPACE. SHEET E-1 SHOWS AN EXIT LIGHT AT
 THE NEW EXTERIOR DOOR OPENING ON CLEMATIS ST. PLEASE
 SEE DOOR 2 & 5 BOTH ARE MANUALLY SLIDING DOORS, THEY
 CANNOT BE THE REQUIRED EGRESS DOORS. DOOR # 8 WILL HAVE
 TO BE THE EGRESS DOOR WITH EXIT LIGHT.
 PLEASE REVIEW THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION 1010.1.2.
 EXCEPTION # 9. EXCEPTION 9. IN OTHER THAN GROUP H
 OCCUPANCIES, MANUALLY OPERATED HORIZONTAL SLIDING DOORS
 ARE PERMITTED IN A MEANS OF EGRESS FROM SPACES WITH AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD OF 10 OR LESS.
 3A) SHEET A1 DETAIL 1 SHOWS THE TENANT WALLS EXTENDING
 UP HALFWAY TO THE CEILING. THE SCALE ON THE DRAWING
 INDICATES 1 ? INCH = 1 FOOT. IT WOULD APPEAR THIS IS A
 TYPO AND THE SCALE SHOULD READ ? INCH SCALE EQUALS 1
 FOOT. DISCREPANCY IN PLAN. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
 3B) SHEET A1 DETAIL 1 SHOWS THE TENANT WALLS EXTENDING
 UP HALFWAY TO THE CEILING. ABOVE THIS AREA THE AIR
 COMMUNICATES WITH THE EXIT CORRIDOR AND OTHER TENANT
 SPACES. IN THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION 2801.1. MECHANICAL
 APPLIANCES, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED,
 INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL. IN THE MECHANICAL CODE UNDER
 VENTILATION TABLE 403.3.1.1 SPECIALTY SHOPS PLEASE SEE
 BEAUTY SALON REQUIREMENTS (SEE FOOTNOTE B) FOR
 VENTILATION AND IF MANICURES AND OR PEDICURE STATIONS
 SOURCE CAPTURE SYSTEMS ARE REQUIRED AT EACH STATION,
 SEE FOOTNOTES B & H. FOOTNOTE B STATES MECHANICAL
 EXHAUST REQUIRED AND THE RECIRCULATION OF AIR FROM SUCH
 SPACES IS PROHIBITED. RECIRCULATION OF AIR THAT IS
 CONTAINED COMPLETELY WITHIN SUCH SPACES SHALL NOT BE
 PROHIBITED (SEE SECTION 403.2.1, ITEM 3).
 3C) SHEET A1 DETAIL 1 SHOWS THE TENANT WALLS EXTENDING
 UP HALFWAY TO THE CEILING. THE PLAN DOES NOT SHOW HOW
 THE TENANT SEPARATION WALLS ARE GOING TO BE PERMANENT
 AND NO FLEXING AND LEANING. 2017 FBC-B 1604.3
 SERVICEABILITY. STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS AND MEMBERS THEREOF
 SHALL BE DESIGNED TO HAVE ADEQUATE STIFFNESS TO LIMIT
 DEFLECTIONS AND LATERAL DRIFT.
 1604.3.1 DEFLECTIONS. THE DEFLECTIONS OF STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE MORE RESTRICTIVE OF THE
 LIMITATIONS OF SECTIONS 1604.3.2 THROUGH 1604.3.5 OR
 THAT PERMITTED BY TABLE 1604.3.
 3D) SHEET A1 DETAIL 1 SHOWS NEW DRYWALL BEAMS SEE
 DETAIL 2/ A2. THIS DETAIL INDICATES THE NEW DRYWALL
 BEAMS ARE TO BE 10 INCHES TALL AND 2 FEET WIDE. THE
 CHARTS FROM THE STEEL STUD MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION
 SHOWS THE LARGEST CEILING SPAN MEMBERS AS 600S162 WHEN
 AT 2 FEET ON CENTER AND THICKNESS IN (43MILS) A SPAN OF
 15 FEET 2 INCHES AND ALLOWABLE DEFLECTION OF L/240. THE
 SAME SIZE FRAMING MEMBER AT 16 INCHES ON CENTER A SPAN
 OF 16 FEET 11 INCHES AND IF THE SPACING IS AT 12 INCHES
 ON CENTER A SPAN OF 18 FEET 4 INCHES WHEN THERE IS NO
 SUPPORT AT THE MID-POINT. PLEASE PROVIDE WHERE YOU ARE
 GETTING YOUR SPAN INFORMATION FROM? 107.2.1.2

 CONCRETE COLUMNS JUST TO THE WEST OF THIS NEW ALCOVE?

 QUALIFICATION RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REFERENCED

 INSTALLATION. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED MANUFACTURER?S INSTRUCTIONS.
 FASTENER SIZE AND SPACING SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH
 INSTRUCTIONS AND SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON MAXIMUM
 LOADS AND SPACING USED IN THE TESTS.
  
 7) 107.3.4.2 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF
 THIS SECTION, DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ARE DEFINED AS THOSE
 PORTIONS OF THE DESIGN THAT ARE NOT SUBMITTED AT THE
 TIME OF THE APPLICATION AND THAT ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITHIN A SPECIFIED PERIOD.
 DEFERRAL OF ANY SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL HAVE THE PRIOR
 APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE REGISTERED
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE SHALL LIST
 THE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ON THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE
