 1) SHEET LS-1, THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET:
 1A). THIS SET OF PLANS INDICATES GOING FROM A SINGLE
 TENANT TO TWO TENANTS BUT THE WHOLE BUILDING IS NOT
 BEING SHOWN IT APPEARS THERE IS A CREATION OF
 NONCONFORMITY TO THE BUILDING CODE. PLEASE PROVIDE AREA
 CALCULATIONS FOR BOTH TENANT SPACE A & B OFFICE AREA,
 STORAGE AND MEZZANINE AREAS FOR BOTH TENANTS TO ENSURE
 THAT THERE IS NO NONCONFORMITY FOR EITHER SPACE.

 OF NONCONFORMITY. ALL NEW WORK, RE-CONFIGURATION SHALL
 NOT CREATE OR EXTEND ANY NONCONFORMITY IN THE EXISTING
 BUILDING TO WHICH THE RE-CONFIGURATION OF SPACE IS
 BEING MADE WITH REGARD TO ACCESSIBILITY, STRUCTURAL
 STRENGTH, FIRE SAFETY, MEANS OF EGRESS, OR THE CAPACITY
 OF MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.
  
 1B) IN THE NEWLY CREATED TENANT SPACE B WITH THE NEW
 OFFICE AREA ON THE 1ST FLOOR AND DRY STORAGE ROOM 123
 YOU NO LONGER HAVE A MEZZANINE BUT HAVE CREATED A 2
 STORY BUILDING. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION
 505.2.1. AREA LIMITATION. THE AGGREGATE AREA OF A
 MEZZANINE OR MEZZANINES WITHIN A ROOM SHALL BE NOT
 GREATER THAN ONE-THIRD OF THE FLOOR AREA OF THAT ROOM
 OR SPACE IN WHICH THEY ARE LOCATED. THE ENCLOSED
 PORTION OF A ROOM SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED IN A
 DETERMINATION OF THE FLOOR AREA OF THE ROOM IN WHICH
 THE MEZZANINE IS LOCATED. IN DETERMINING THE ALLOWABLE
 MEZZANINE AREA, THE AREA OF THE MEZZANINE SHALL NOT BE
 INCLUDED IN THE FLOOR AREA OF THE ROOM.
  
 1C) THE 3RD ISSUE IS WITH THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL FOR
 THE MEZZANINE/ 2ND FLOOR LEVEL. TO MEASURE COMMON PATH
 OF TRAVEL YOU MEASURE 2 FEET OF THE WALL AND FOLLOW THE
 WALL LINE. WHEN YOU GO TO THE STAIRS YOU MEASURE
 PARALLEL TO THE RISE AND RUN OF THE STAIRS. WHEN YOU
 MEASURE THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL IN THIS FASHION YOU
 END UP WITH APPROXIMATELY 106 FEET. PLEASE NOTE FOR
 THIS REVIEW THE AREA IN QUESTION WILL BE CONSIDERED A
 2ND STORY. IN SAYING SUCH, PLEASE REVIEW STORIES WITH
 ONE EXIT OR ACCESS TO ONE EXIT FOR OTHER OCCUPANCIES
 SEE TABLE 1006.3.2(2) (FIRST FLOOR ABOVE OR BELOW GRADE
 PLANE, NOT AT GRADE). FOR A STORAGE OCCUPANCY THE
 MAXIMUM COMMON PATH OF EGRESS TRAVEL DISTANCE IS 75
 FEET. A SECOND MEANS OF EGRESS IS NEEDED FROM THIS
 SPACE, THE NEWLY FORMED TENANT SPACE B. AT THIS TIME WE
 CANNOT COMMENT ON IF THERE IS ISSUES FOR TENANT A.

 THIS DEFINITION, DO NOT INCLUDE BALCONIES WITHIN
 ASSEMBLY GROUPS OR MEZZANINES THAT COMPLY WITH SECTION

 TRAVEL IS NOT AT THE LEVEL OF EXIT DISCHARGE FROM THE
 ATRIUM, THAT PORTION OF THE TOTAL PERMITTED EXIT ACCESS
 TRAVEL DISTANCE THAT OCCURS WITHIN THE ATRIUM SHALL BE
 NOT GREATER THAN 200 FEET (60 960 MM).
 404.10 INTERIOR EXIT STAIRWAYS. A MAXIMUM OF 50 PERCENT
 OF INTERIOR EXIT STAIRWAYS ARE PERMITTED TO EGRESS
