 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PERMIT, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 STAFF UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS IS A RESTORATION OF THE
 MISSING LANDSCAPING FOR THE PROPERTY, BUT CURRENT
 STANDARDS APPLY TO ALL NEWLY CONSTRUCTED AREAS AND
 REPLACEMENT SIZES OF TREES AND PALMS.
  
 1. ADDED LANDSCAPE ISLANDS MUST MEET CURRENT CODE
 REQUIREMENTS OF PROVIDING A SHADE TREE IN EACH ISLAND.
 SINGLE FOXTAIL PALMS DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
 2. ALL NEW TREES AND PALMS MUST MEET CURRENT HEIGHT
 REQUIREMENTS, 12 FEET HEIGHT FOR TREES, AND 8 FOOT
 CLEAR TRUNK FOR PALMS.
 3. PROVIDE THE FLORIDA FRIENDLY DESIGN OPTIONS CHART
 AND PROVIDE 50 REQUIRED POINTS BASED ON THE LANDSCAPE
 PLAN PER SECTION 94-442(G).
 4. NEW DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE MUST MEET CODE REQUIREMENT
 FOR A HEDGE ON THE 3 NON ACCESS SIDES.
  
 5. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 94-445 L. PLANT
 SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT MATERIAL
 ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT TOLERANT
 SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE LIST OF
 SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH FLORIDA
 WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH FLORIDA
 LANDSCAPES.
  
 6. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
