 COMPLIANCE METHOD. 401.2.2 NEW AND REPLACEMENT
 MATERIALS. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE REQUIRED OR PERMITTED BY
 THIS CODE, MATERIALS PERMITTED BY THE APPLICABLE CODE
 FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE USED. LIKE MATERIALS
 SHALL BE PERMITTED FOR REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS,
 PROVIDED NO HAZARD TO LIFE, HEALTH OR PROPERTY IS
 CREATED. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SHALL NOT BE USED WHERE
 THE CODE FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION WOULD NOT PERMIT THEIR
 USE IN BUILDINGS OF SIMILAR OCCUPANCY, PURPOSE AND
 LOCATION.
  
  
 1.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS,
 COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 HEADING BUILDING CODE SUMMARY. THE COVERSHEET ALSO
 UNDER THE HEADING OF OCCUPANCY INFORMATION ALSO LIST
 THE OCCUPANCY AS M (MERCANTILE).
 SHEET A-0.2 ON THE LIFE SAFETY FLOOR PLAN LIST THE
 OCCUPANCY AS MERCANTILE BUT UNDER THE HEADING OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 2017 ALL THE INFORMATION IN THIS
 SECTION STATES A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY AND OCCUPANCY LOAD
 CALCULATIONS USING 100 SQ. FT. AS YOU WOULD FOR A
 BUSINESS OCCUPANCY IN TABLE 1004.1.2 OF THE 2017 FBC-B.
 2017 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1: ADMINISTRATIVE CODE SECTION 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED SINCE THERE IS A
 DISCREPANCY IN OCCUPANCY TYPES BETWEEN THE 2 SHEETS.
  
 1B) THE COVERSHEET ALSO LIST THAT THE BUILDING IS FIRE
 SPRINKLERED BUT NO INFORMATION WAS SUBMITTED ON THE
 EXISTING SPRINKLER LAYOUT OR FOR THE NEW SPRINKLER
 LAYOUT. SHEET A-6.1 THE REFLECTIVE CEILING PLAN DOES
 NOT SHOW THE LOCATION OF EXISTING OR PROPOSED FIRE
 SPRINKLER HEADS IN THE CEILING. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.

 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, THE
 2017 FBC-B TABLE 1004.1.2 LIST THE OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR
 AS 60 FOR ALL FLOORS. PLEASE MAKE THE CORRECTION, THANK
 YOU.
  
 1D) HEADING EXIT REQUIREMENTS. THE PLANS INDICATE ONLY
 ONE MEANS OF EGRESS IS REQUIRED AND 2 ARE PROVIDED. THE
 ALLOWABLE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL IS GIVEN AS 100 FEET.
 PLEASE NOTE (TABLE 1006.1.2 IS THE CORRECT CODE
 SECTION, NOT 1016.2.1) THE 100 FEET IS FOR EITHER
 BUSINESS OCCUPANCY WITH AND OCCUPANT LOAD OF < THAN 30
 OR FOR FIRE SPRINKLERED BUILDINGS. THE TEST IS TO SEE
 IF FROM THE FURTHEST POINT IN THE TENANT SPACE IF FOR
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL IS 75
 FEET OR LESS. 1 FOOT OF THE RESTROOM WALL TO THE FRONT
 DOOR THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL EXCEEDS 75 FEET
 REQUIRING 2 MEANS OF EGRESS, 2 MEANS OF EGRESS ARE
 REQUIRED. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE
 SECTION 207.1 MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION
 1003.2.13 OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (2000
 EDITION AND 2001 SUPPLEMENT) OR SECTION 1007 OF THE
 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (2003 EDITION).
 2003 IBC-B 1007.1 WHERE MORE THAN ONE MEANS OF EGRESS
 IS REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 1014.1 OR 1018.1 FROM ANY
 ACCESSIBLE SPACE, EACH ACCESSIBLE PORTION OF THE SPACE
 SHALL BE SERVED BY NOT LESS THAN TWO MEANS OF EGRESS.
 PLEASE PROVIDE IF THE BACK EXIT IS AN ACCESSIBLE MEANS
 OF EGRESS TO THE PUBLIC WAY.
  
 1E) THE COVERSHEET UNDER THE HEADING OF EXIT
 REQUIREMENTS LIST THE DEAD ENDS AS ALLOWABLE 50 FEET
 AND CODE SECTION 1020.4. THIS IS TRUE FOR BOTH

 THE LAV WITH THE VERTICAL MEASUREMENT OF 3 FEET 4
 INCHES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE MIRROR FRAME NOT THE
 REFLECTIVE SURFACE. 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 603.3
 MIRRORS. MIRRORS LOCATED ABOVE LAVATORIES OR
 COUNTERTOPS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH THE BOTTOM EDGE OF
 THE REFLECTING SURFACE 40 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE
 FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 4) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
