 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) CHIEF PLANS EXAMINER SAMANTHA HILL AND I SPOKE WITH
 JASON WEISMAN FROM TRICARICO ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
 ABOUT THE REMOVAL OF AN EXIT DIRECTIONAL LIGHT OVER
 VESTIBULE # 2. WITH THE REMOVAL OF ONE SET OF FRONT
 ENTRY DOORS AND THE 2 EXIT DIRECTIONAL LIGHTS OVER
 VESTIBULE 1 & 2 IN CASE OF FIRE BY THE FRONT ENTRY SET
 OF DOORS THE OCCUPANTS IN THE MERCANTILE PORTION OF THE
 TENANT SPACE WOULD BE REQUIRED TO EXIT THROUGH THE
 STOREROOM. THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH VESTIBULE # 1. THE
 ISSUE ARISES WITH THE DIRECTIONAL EXIT LIGHT OVER THE
 VESTIBULE # 2.
  
 THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION 1016.2.5 EXCEPTION 2 CANNOT MEET
 ALL 4 OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR VESTIBULE # 2.
 THE ISSUE IS IN SECTION 2.4. THERE IS A DEMARCATED,
 MINIMUM 44-INCH-WIDE (1118 MM) AISLE DEFINED BY FULL-
 OR PARTIAL-HEIGHT FIXED WALLS OR SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION
 THAT WILL MAINTAIN THE REQUIRED WIDTH AND LEAD DIRECTLY
 FROM THE RETAIL AREA TO THE EXIT WITHOUT OBSTRUCTIONS.
  
 MR. JASON WEISMAN APPROVED THE RED LINING OF THE PLANS
 (SHEETS A102 & A200) REMOVAL OF THE EXIT DIRECTIONAL
 LIGHT OVER VESTIBULE # 2 TO ACHIEVE CODE COMPLIANCE. IN
 FUTURE REVISIONS THIS SHOULD SHOW AS A REVISION.
