 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED WITH A
 PORTION OF THE WORK WAS THE RE-DO ROOFING. PLEASE NOTE
 THIS IS A 2 STORY APARTMENT BUILDING. THE CONTRACTOR
 WALL TO WALL WE DO IT ALL CANNOT APPLY FOR A ROOFING
 PERMIT, THEY ARE NOT A LICENSED ROOFING CONTRACTOR. SEE
 FLORIDA STATUTE 489.113.3(G)
 NO GENERAL, BUILDING, OR RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR
 CERTIFIED AFTER 1973 SHALL ACT AS, HOLD HIMSELF OR
 HERSELF OUT TO BE, OR ADVERTISE HIMSELF OR HERSELF TO
 BE A ROOFING CONTRACTOR UNLESS HE OR SHE IS CERTIFIED
 OR REGISTERED AS A ROOFING CONTRACTOR.
  
 2) THE SUBMITTED PLAN DOES NOT MEET THE QUALITY OF
 PLANS FOR RECORD RETENTION.
 2017 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE W 2017 WEST PALM BEACH
 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1.3 QUALITY OF BUILDING PLANS.
 BUILDING PLANS SHALL BE DRAWN TO A MINIMUM 1/8 INCH
 SCALE UPON SUBSTANTIAL PAPER, CLOTH OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE
 MEDIUM. THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL MAY ESTABLISH THROUGH DEPARTMENTAL POLICY,
 OTHER STANDARDS FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, IN ORDER
 TO PROVIDE CONFORMITY TO ITS RECORD RETENTION PROGRAM.
 THIS POLICY MAY INCLUDE SUCH THINGS AS MINIMUM SIZE,
 SHAPE, CONTRAST, CLARITY, OR OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO
 RECORDS MANAGEMENT. ELECTRONIC MEDIA MUST BE COMPATIBLE
 WITH THE ARCHIVE REQUIREMENTS OF FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 3) IF THE CONTRACTOR CBC DRAWS THEIR OWN PLAN THEY MUST
 SIGN THEIR NAME (QUALIFIER) PRINT THEIR NAME AND
 LICENSE NUMBER OF THEIR FIRM. 107.3.4.2 CERTIFICATIONS
 BY CONTRACTORS AUTHORIZED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
 SECTION. 489.115 FLORIDA STATUTES, SHALL BE CONSIDERED
 EQUIVALENT TO SEALED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
 BY A PERSON LICENSED UNDER CHAPTER 471, FLORIDA
 STATUTES, OR CHAPTER 481 FLORIDA STATUTES, BY LOCAL
 ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES FOR PLANS REVIEW FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES.
  
 4) 107.3.5 MINIMUM PLAN REVIEW CRITERIA FOR BUILDINGS.
 THE EXAMINATION OF THE DOCUMENTS BY
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
 MINIMUM CRITERIA AND DOCUMENTS: A SCALED FLOOR PLAN;
 AND ROUGH WALL/ OR FINISHED WALL TO WALL DIMENSIONS.
 107.3.5.1 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS:

 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
