 78-123(A) AND SECTION 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS
 1% OF THE TOTAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST. PER CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V, ART IN
 PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND NEW
 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO THE
 ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS. SEC. 78-129. - PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT FOR
 PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT. (A) APPLICABILITY. THE PROVISIONS
 OF THIS ARTICLE AND THE PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT SECTION
 SHALL APPLY TO ALL PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS,
 INCLUDING NEW CONSTRUCTION, OR THE RENOVATION OR
 IMPROVEMENT OF AN EXISTING BUILDING, WHERE TOTAL
 CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN
 $750,000.00. ALL BUILDINGS WITHIN NEW PLANNED
 DEVELOPMENTS SHALL BE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY TOWARDS
 THIS ART IN PUBLIC PLACES REQUIREMENT, EVEN IF THE
 BUILDINGS ARE PERMITTED SEPARATELY OR DEVELOPED IN
 PHASES. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION APPLY TO NEW
 DEVELOPMENT OR NEW CONSTRUCTION WITHIN EXISTING PLANNED
 DEVELOPMENTS.

 - THE VALUE APPEARS TO BE BASED AT AROUND 100 DOLLARS
 PER SQUARE FOOT. CURRENT CONSTRUCTION COSTS FOR ANY
 TYPE OF NEW CONSTRUCTION WOULD EXCEED THAT AMOUNT.
 PLEASE EVALUATE CONSTRUCTION COSTS. THE COSTS WOULD
 EXCLUDE LAND AND ITEMS THAT WILL BE PERMITTED SEPARATLY

 THIS PROJECT MEETS THE DEFINITION OF A THRESHOLD
 BUILDING. THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO
 COMMENCEMENT.
 A) COMPLETE THE THRESHOLD / SPECIAL INSPECTOR AGREEMENT
 OF UNDERSTANDING; IF PDF OF AGREEMENT IS NEEDED PLEASE
 CONTACT THE BUILDING PLAN REVIEWER AND THEY WILL
 PROVIDE VIA E-MAIL. [email protected]
 B) PROVIDE RESUMES AND COPIES OF LICENSES FOR ALL
 PROPOSED INSPECTORS. PLEASE INCLUDE AS MANY ADDITIONAL
 INSPECTORS AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THESE ARE THE ONLY
 PEOPLE THAT THE CHIEF BUILDING INSPECTOR WILL ALLOW TO
 BE ON-SITE.
 C) ALL PLANS ARE TO INCLUDE THE THRESHOLD STATEMENT
 REQUIRED BY FS553.79(7)(D). ?ALL PLANS FOR THE BUILDING
 WHICH ARE REQUIRED TO BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE
 ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER OF RECORD CONTAIN A STATEMENT
 THAT, TO THE BEST OF THE ARCHITECTS OR ENGINEERS
 KNOWLEDGE, THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS COMPLY WITH THE
 APPLICABLE MINIMUM BUILDING CODES AND THE APPLICABLE
 FIRE SAFETY STANDARDS AS DETERMINED BY THE LOCAL
 AUTHORITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS CHAPTER 553 AND

 - SHOW ACCESSIBLE PATH TO TRASH COLLECTION AREA.
  
 7) REQUIREMENT 3 - USABLE DOORS. THE DOORS IN COMMON
 SPACES AND THE SIDE ENTERING INTO DWELLING UNITS NEED
 TO HAVE USABLE HARDWARE THAT CAN BE USED WITHOUT TIGHT
 GRASPING OR TWISTING.
 - TYPICALLY THE HARDWARE WOULD BE A LEVER TYPE. THIS
 TYPE OF HARDWARE WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED ONCE INSIDE THE
 UNIT. YOU MAY WANT TO CLARIFY HARDWARE ON THE DOOR
 SCHEDULE.
  
 8) REQUIREMENT 5 - LIGHT SWITCHES, OUTLETS, THERMOSTATS
 AND OTHE CONTROLS IN ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS. (SIDE
 REACHES OVER OBSTRUCTIONS)
 - PLEASE VERIFY THAT A NOTE OR REFERENCE TO THE
 REQUIRED HEIGHTS CAN BE FOUND IN ELECTRICAL PAGES WHERE
 THE CONTRACTOR WILL SEE THEM.

 INVESTIGATIONS ARE REQUIRED, A WRITTEN REPORT OF THE
 INVESTIGATIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL BY THE PERMIT APPLICANT AT THE TIME OF PERMIT
 APPLICATION. THIS GEOTECHNICAL REPORT SHALL INCLUDE,
 BUT NEED NOT BE LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

 13) 3002.4 FBC[B] ELEVATOR CAR TO ACCOMMODATE AMBULANCE
 STRETCHER. ANY BUILDING THAT IS MORE THAN THREE STORIES
 HIGH OR IN WHICH THE VERTICAL DISTANCE BETWEEN THE
 BOTTOM TERMINAL LANDING AND THE TOP TERMINAL LANDING
 EXCEEDS 25 FEET (7620 MM), MUST BE CONSTRUCTED TO
 CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE PASSENGER ELEVATOR THAT IS
 OPERATIONAL FOR BUILDING OCCUPANTS AND FIRE DEPARTMENT
 EMERGENCY ACCESS TO ALL FLOORS. THE ELEVATOR CAR SHALL
 BE OF SUCH A SIZE AND ARRANGEMENT TO ACCOMMODATE AN
 AMBULANCE STRETCHER 24 INCHES BY 76 INCHES (610 MM BY
 1950 MM) WITH NOT LESS THAN 5-INCH (127 MM) RADIUS
 CORNERS, IN THE HORIZONTAL, OPEN POSITION AND SHALL BE
 IDENTIFIED BY THE INTERNATIONAL SYMBOL FOR EMERGENCY
 MEDICAL SERVICES (STAR OF LIFE). THE SYMBOL SHALL BE
 NOT LESS THAN 3 INCHES (76 MM) IN HEIGHT AND SHALL BE
 PLACED INSIDE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE HOISTWAY DOOR FRAME.
 - SHOW HOW STRECHER WILL FIT IN ONE OF THE ELEVATORS. A
 SGRAPHIC REPRESENTAION OF 24X74 INCH RECTANGLE WITH
 MAXIMUM 5 INCH RADIUS CORNERS FROM ENTRY TO FINAL
 POSITION ON PLAN VIEW WILL SUFFICE.
  
 14) 107.3.4.1 FBC[AMENDED] DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. FOR THE
 PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ARE
 DEFINED AS THOSE PORTIONS OF THE DESIGN THAT ARE NOT
 SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF THE APPLICATION AND THAT ARE
 TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITHIN A
 SPECIFIED PERIOD. DEFERRAL OF ANY SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL
 HAVE THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE
 REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE
 SHALL LIST THE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ON THE CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
 DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED TO THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN
 RESPONSIBLE CHARGE WHO SHALL REVIEW THEM AND FORWARD
 THEM TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITH A NOTATION
 INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE TO
 THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING. THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL
 ITEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED UNTIL THE DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
 - PLEASE PROVIDE A LIST OF DEFERRED SUBMITTALS SO THAT
 I WILL NOT ASK FOR ITEMS THAT WILL BE SUPPLIED AT A
 LATER DATE, OR INDICATE WHICH PAGE A LIST CAN BE FOUND.

 COVERINGS OF A TRADITIONAL TYPE, SUCH AS WOOD, VINYL,
 LINOLEUM OR TERRAZZO, AND RESILIENT FLOOR COVERING

 103.1.1.2 FBC[CE] CODE COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATION. THE
 BUILDINGS OWNER, THE OWNERS ARCHITECT, OR OTHER
 AUTHORIZED AGENT LEGALLY DESIGNATED BY THE OWNER SHALL
 CERTIFY THAT THE BUILDING IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 CODE, AS PER SECTION 553.907, FLORIDA STATUTES, PRIOR
