 AND OFFSETS DIMENSIONED. THE DESIGN LOADS AND OTHER
 INFORMATION PERTINENT TO THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN REQUIRED

 - IF POSSIBLE CAN THE DOTTED GRIDLINES BE TURNED OFF
 FOR FLOOR PLANS ON SHEETA2.1 AND A2.2. THIS IS JUST A
 REQUEST TO MAKE DRAWINGS MORE READABLE. WITH FIRE WALLS
 USING DASH DOT LINE TYPE IT WOULD HELP CLARIFY THE
 SEPARATIONS.
  
 FAIRHOUSING REVIEW BEGIN: COMMENTS 11-24
 GENERAL COMMENT
 - IT LOOKS LIKE FLORIDA ACCESSIBLITY CODE WAS APPLIED
 TO THIS PROJECT INSTEAD OF FAIRHOUSING GUIDELINES. THE
 COMMON AREAS USING FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY WOULD MEET OR
 EXCEED FAIRHOUSING GUIDELINES, BUT THE RESIDENT ROOMS
 WILL FALL SHORT OF MEETING REQUIREMENTS 6 AND 7 BECAUSE
 THEY APPLY TO ALL ROOMS. WITH FAIRHOUSING BEING APPLIED
 THE ADA SUITES WOULD NOT NEED TO BE PROVIDED, BUT THE
 FOLLOWING FAIRHOUSING REQUIREMENTS WOULD APPLY TO ALL
 DWELLING UNITS.
  
 11) 1986 ANSI [A117.1] IF A DESIGNER OR BUILDER CHOOSES
 TO FOLLOW AN ACCESSIBILITY STANDARD OTHER THAN THE 1986
 ANSI A117.1 STANDARD, OR A MORE RECENT VERSION OF THE
 ANSI A117.1, SUCH AS THE 1992 CABO/ANSI, THAT CARE BE
 TAKEN TO ENSURE THE STANDARD USED IS AT LEAST
 EQUIVALENT TO OR STRICTER THAN THE 1986 ANSI A117.1

 5% (1 IN 20). HANDRAILS ARE NOT REQUIRED ON WALKS WITH
 SLOPES BETWEEN 0% AND 5%, BUT THEY ARE REQUIRED ON
 THOSE STEEPER THAN 5% AND UP TO 8.33% (1 IN 12)
 - PROVIDE CIVIL PLANS TO VERIFY SLOPES THAT WILL OCCUR
 ON THE ACCESSIBLE PATH. PROVIDE SITE PLAN TO SHOW THE
 ACCESSIBLE PATH FROM PARKING OR OTHER PUBLIC ACCESS

 PATHS TO THE AMENITIES.
  
 15) IS THERE A MAILROOM?
 - IF SO PLEASE SHOW HOW REACH RANGES ARE ACHIEVED FOR
 MAILBOXES.
  
 16) REQUIREMENT 3 - USABLE DOORS. THE DOORS IN COMMON
 SPACES AND THE SIDE ENTERING INTO DWELLING UNITS NEED
 TO HAVE USABLE HARDWARE THAT CAN BE USED WITHOUT TIGHT
 GRASPING OR TWISTING.
 - TYPICALLY THE HARDWARE WOULD BE A LEVER TYPE. THIS
 TYPE OF HARDWARE WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED ONCE INSIDE THE
 UNIT. YOU MAY WANT TO CLARIFY HARDWARE ON THE DOOR
 SCHEDULE.
  
 17) ONCE INSIDE THE DWELLING UNIT HARDWARE NO LONGER
 APPLIES, BUT CLEAR SPACE ON ALL DOORS REQUIRE 32 INCHES
 NOMINAL CLEAR SPACE.
 - CHECK DOORS INSIDE DWELLING UNITS LABELED E, F, P, Q,
 V, U, EE AND FF AS THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE THE NOMINAL
 CLEARANCE REQUIRED.
  
 18) REQUIREMENT 4 - ACCESSIBLE ROUTE INTO AND THROUGH
 THE DWELLING UNIT.
 - THEY LOOK OK SINCE ALL FURNITURE IS USABLE AND IF
 DOORS PROVIDE 32 INCH NOMINAL THAN ACCESS WILL BE
 PROVIDED. ALSO, REQUIREMENT 6 WILL HELP ACHIEVE
 ACCESSIBLE ROUTE.
  
 19) REQUIREMENT 5 - LIGHT SWITCHES, OUTLETS,
 THERMOSTATS AND OTHE CONTROLS IN ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS.
 - THIS CAN BE HANDLED WITH NOTES TO STATE MAXIMUM AND
 MINIMUM HEIGHTS THAT COMPLY WITH THE GUIDELINES BEING
 FOLLOWED. THE NOTES CAN BE IN A FAIRHOUSING OVERVIEW,
 BUT SHOULD ALSO BE ON APPROPRIATE M OR ESHEETS SO THEY
 DON'T GET OVERLOOKED BY THE SPECIFIC TRADES.
  
 20) REQUIREMENT 6 - REINFORCED WALLS FOR GRAB BARS
 - BARS ONLY NEED TO BE INSTALLED IN THE PUBLIC OR
 COMMON USE AREAS. ALL OF THE DWELLING UNITS ONLY NEED
 BLOCKING INSTALLED. SHEET A2.3 SHOWS THE BLOCKING AT
 TOILET AND WILL WORK. PLEASE ADD BLOCKING AT SHOWER
 BECAUSE I ONLY SEE CONTROL ZONE AND THAT WILL BE
 COVERED IN REQUIREMENT 7.
  
 21) REQUIREMENT 7 - USABLE KITCHENS.
 - I ONLY SEE ONE KITCHEN IN UNIT S101. PLEASE SHOW
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE AT COOKTOP,REFRIDGERATOR AND SINK.
 THE CLEAR SPACE SHOULD BE CENTERED ON THE APPLIANCE.THE
 SINK DOESN'T APPEAR THAT IT WOULD WORK, SO THIS MAY
 NEED TO BE RE-WORKED. ALSO, CHECK
  
 22) REQUIREMENT 7 - COMMON LAUNDRY ROOMS.
 - SHOW CLEAR FLOOR SPACE AT WASHER AND DRYER IN LAUNDRY
 ROOM 118 AND LAUNDRY ROOMS ON FLOORS 2-4. THE CLEAR
 SPACE SHOULD BE CENTERED ON THE APPLIANCES.
