 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 1-ART IN PUBLIC SPACES.
 PLEASE REVIEW ART IN PUBLIC PLACES. THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH ART IN PUBLIC PLACES ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT
 THAT APPLIES TO ANY REMODEL OR NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
 FOR WHICH THE PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED AFTER
 6/29/14, AND THE TOTAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE
 EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN $750,000 WILL NEED TO COMPLY
 WITH THIS ORDINANCE.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ORDINANCE NO. 4504-14, AND
 CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V,
 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-123(A) AND SECTION
 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS 1% OF THE TOTAL
 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE
 V, ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND
 NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO
 THE ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS.

 OFFICE. NOTIFICATION MAY OCCUR WHEN PLANS ARE NEAREST
 FINAL FORM. YOU MAY COORDINATE WITH THE IMPACT FEE

 IMPACT FEE QUESTIONNAIRE FORM TO YOUR PROJECT AND NAME

 5- ENERGY CALCULATIONS:
 A) PLANS NEED TO SPECIFY THE INSULATION R VALUE OF
 EXTERIOR WALLS. NOTE: ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER PREPARING
 THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS TO COORDINATE INFORMATION TO
 AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. THIS APPLIES TO CEILING
 INSULATION ALSO. SEC. C103.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 B)ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO CERTIFY (SIGNATURE AND LICENSE
 NUMBER) ON ENERGY FORM AS REQUIRED BY SEC. C103.1.1.1.2
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 C) THE BUILDING OWNER OR LEGALLY AUTHORIZED AGENT NEEDS
 TO CERTIFY THAT THE BUILDING IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 ENERGY CODE AS REQUIRED BY SEC. C103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE PERMIT TO BEGIN
 CONSTRUCTION.
  
 D) ENGINEER OF RECORD PERFORMING THE ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS TO COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECTURAL PLANS TO
 AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. INFORMATION FOR WALLS AND
 CEILING INSULATION R VALUE DOESN'T MATCH. SEC. 107.2.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS. ALSO, CHECK THE PROPER BOXES IN THE
 MANDATORY SECTION.
  
 6- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
 INTERIOR WINDOWS SHOWN ON FLOOR PLANS. INCLUDE FRAMING

 SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FASTENING OF THE METAL PARAPET

 8- LADDER TO ACCESS A/C EQUIPMENT ON THE UPPER ROOF
 NEED TO EXTEND NOT LESS THAN 30INCHES. LADDERS NEED TO
 BE CONSTRUCTED AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 306.5
 FBC-MECHANICAL. (SEE SEC. 1011.16 FBC). NOTE:
 COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL PLANS EXAMINER/INSPECTOR TO
 AVOID CONFLICTS/ DELAYS.
  
 9- CLARIFY IF TENANT SEPARATION WALL BETWEEN
 MISCELLANEOUS SPACE 1 AND MISCELLANEOUS SPACE 2 IS
 GOING TO BE A FIRE RATED WALL OR NOT. WALL TYPE 5 ON
 SHEET A.06 DOESN'T PROVIDE SPECS FOR A FIRE RATED
 ASSEMBLY BUT LIFE SAFETY PLAN ON SHEET A.14 SPECIFIES
 THAT IT IS A FIRE RATED WALL. REVISE/CLARIFY AS
 REQUIRED. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.

 12- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 PLEASE NOTE THAT SUBMITTAL OF ADDITIONAL AND/OR REVISED
 MATERIALS MAY RESULT IN NEW PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS.
