 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 1- FLAT ROOF NOA 14-1030.01 SUBMITTED; PROVIDE SIGNED
 AND SEALED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS FOR PERIMETER AND
 CORNER AREAS AS REQUIRED BY GENERAL LIMITATION #7 ON
 LAST PAGE OF NOA SUBMITTED. NEED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS
 TO MEET THE DESIGN PRESSURES OF EACH ROOF ZONE AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: RAS 117 CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED. THE CITY HAVE
 NOT ADOPTED ANY PRESCRIPTIVE REQUIREMENTS LIKE RAS 150.
  
 RESPONSE:
 DETAILS "F" AND "G" FOR ROOFING MATERIAL NAILING
 PATTERN ON STRUCTURAL DRAWING S-5 SUBMITTED DON'T MATCH
 INFORMATION ON FLAT ROOF NOA 14-1030.01. REVISE THE
 FLAT ROOF SYSTEM TYPE AND FASTENER TYPE AND SPACING AS
 REQUIRED TO MATCH.
 ALSO, REVISE THE NAIL SPACING ACCORDINGLY.
  
 2- OK.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 3- BASED ON THE FLAT AND SLOPE ROOF SQUARE FOOTAGE
 PROVIDED THE VALUED DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION
 IS TOO LOW AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 VALUATION WAS UPDATED TO $12,170. THE PERMIT FEE
 BALANCE IS $347.36.
  
 RESPONSE:
 THE SCOPE OF WORK WAS INCREASED. STRUCTURAL PLANS WERE
 SUBMITTED FOR RE-FRAMING OF THE GABLE END ROOF. THE
 VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. THE VALUATION WAS UPDATED TO $25,000 (+/-).
 THE PERMIT FEE BALANCE IS $678.76.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 4- ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS, THERE ARE SOME RECENT
 CODE VIOLATIONS, INCLUDING WORK WITHOUT PERMIT. IT
 LOOKS LIKE SOME STRUCTURAL WORK WAS DONE ON THE
 TRUSSES. "ROOF RAFTERS BEING INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMIT".
 NEED TO PROVIDE COMPLETE FRAMING DETAILS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS UNDER A SEPARATE PERMIT. SEC. 105.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.

 RESPONSE:
 STRUCTURAL PLANS WERE SUBMITTED FOR RE-FRAMING OF THE
 GABLE END ROOF. THE FOLLOWING ARE COMMENTS BASED ON THE
 STRUCTURAL PLANS SUBMITTED:
 A) BASED ON THE SUBMITTED INFORMATION, THIS PERMIT TYPE
 WAS CHANGED FROM ROOFING TO RESIDENTIAL MISCELLANEOUS.
 CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE A SEPARATE SUB- PERMIT
 APPLICATION FOR THE ROOFING WORK USING THIS PERMIT
 #158080120 AS THE PRIMARY PERMIT. SEC. 105.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 B) ENGINEER'S MASONRY WALL EVALUATION AND PLANS
 SUBMITTED INDICATE MASONRY WALL REINFORCED WITH NO 5 @
 32" O.C .IF REQUIRED. IT IS NOT CLEAR IF THE
 REINFORCEMENT IS REQUIRED. ENGINEER NEEDS TO BE
 SPECIFIC AND CLEARLY SPECIFY IF THE REINFORCEMENT IS
 REQUIRED OR NOT. SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 C) ENGINEER OF RECORD TO SHOW IN NEW ROOF FRAMING PLAN
 THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF ROOF VENTS SHOWING COMPLIANCE
 WITH SEC. R806 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 NOTE:
