 GENERATED BY INDUSTRY COST FOR SIMILAR WORK. IF COST
 ESTIMATE CANNOT BE PROVIDED WE WILL ADJUST THE VALUE
 BASED ON THE SQUARE FOOTAGE ADDED.
  
 2. [FBC R318]INDICATE THE MEANS OF TERMITE PROTECTION
 PROPOSED AND HOW IT WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH AN
 EXISTING SLAB.
  
 A) [FBC A107.2.6]THE EXTISTING FOOTING WASN?T DESIGNED
 TO HOLD A MASONRY WALL AND ROOF ABOVE. PLEASE PROVIDE
 FOOTER THAT WILL MEET CODES BELOW.
 [FBC R403.1.4]MINIMUM DEPTH.
 EXTERIOR FOOTINGS SHALL BE PLACED NOT LESS THAN 12
 INCHES (305 MM) BELOW THE UNDISTURBED GROUND SURFACE.
 WHERE APPLICABLE, THE DEPTH OF FOOTINGS SHALL ALSO
 CONFORM TO SECTIONS R403.1.4.1 THROUGH R403.1.4.2.
  
 B) [FBC R404.1.6]CONCRETE AND MASONRY FOUNDATION WALLS
 SHALL EXTEND ABOVE THE FINISHED GRADE ADJACENT TO THE
 FOUNDATION AT ALL POINTS A MINIMUM OF 4 INCHES (102 MM)
 WHERE MASONRY VENEER IS USED AND A MINIMUM OF 6 INCHES
 (152 MM) ELSEWHERE.
  
 3. [FBC 2121.1.6]MINIMUM NO. 9 GAUGE TRUSS-TYPE
 HORIZONTAL JOINT REINFORCING AT EVERY ALTERNATE COURSE
 (16-INCH (406 MM) SPACING], SHALL BE PROVIDED. THIS
 REINFORCEMENT SHALL EXTEND 4 INCHES (102 MM) INTO TIE
 COLUMNS OR BE TIED TO STRUCTURAL COLUMNS WITH APPROVED
 METHODS WHERE STRUCTURAL COLUMNS REPLACE THE TIE
 COLUMNS. IN ADDITION, HORIZONTAL JOINT REINFORCEMENT
 SHALL COMPLY WITH TMS602/ACI530.1/ASCE 6 SECTIONS 2.4C
 THRU 2.4F AND SECTION 3.4B.7.
  
 4. FBC R301.4]&[FBC R301.5]PROVIDE DEAD LOAD AND LIVE
 LOAD FROM EXISTING ROOF.
 [FBC R806]ARE VENTS BEING REMOVED FROM THE OVERHANG?
 PROVIDE HOW VENTING IS BEING SUPPLIED AND IF EXISTING
 VENTS COVER THE WHOLE ATTIC SPACE.
  
 5. [FBC ENERGY R502]WHAT IS EXISTING CEILING MATERIAL
 AS IT IS CURRENTLY EXTERIOR PATIO?
 HOW WILL R-30 BE INSTALLED IN EXISTING CEILING IF ROOF
 AND CEILING ARE NOT BEING REPLACED.

 EACH COMMENT IS BEING ADDRESSED.
 -ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE FORTHCOMING PENDING REVIEW

 -WHEN RESUBMITTING, PROVIDE TWO IDENTICAL COLLATED SETS
 OF DOCUMENTS FOR ISSUANCE. OLD SHEETS (BOTH SETS)
 SHOULD BE RETAINED IN THE PACKAGE; PLEASE DO NOT
 DISCARD ANY DOCUMENTS. THEY SHOULD BE BOUND TOGETHER
 SEPARATELY FROM THE TWO ISSUANCE SETS AND MARKED "VOID"
 OR "OLD SHEETS". PLEASE DO NOT STAMP THE PLANS VOID AS
 APPLICANTS ARE INADVERTENTLY STAMPING SHEETS THAT WE
 NEED "VOID", RENDERING THEM NOT USABLE.
