 ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH AND REFERENCE THE FBC SIXTH
 EDITION (2017). UPDATE THE CODE REFERENCES ON THE
 PLANS. FS CHAPTER 553
  
 2) COMPLIED. SCOPE OF WORK WAS REDUCED.THE VALUATION OF
 $75,000.00 FOR THIS PROJECT APPEARS TO BE LOW. SUBMIT A
 DETAILED LINE ITEM COST ESTIMATE FOR THE ENTIRE SCOPE
 OF WORK, INCLUDING DESIGN FEES, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT.
 FBC 109.3 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY
 LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST
 PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS
 SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.), AS PUBLISHED BY
 INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS. FINAL BUILDING PERMIT
 VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 3) COMPLIED. SCOPE OF WORK WAS REDUCED. THE CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH'S FLOOD ORDINANCE REQUIRES ALL PROJECTS
 THAT ARE CONSIDERED SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENTS MEET THE
 CURRENT RULES FOR CONSTRUCTION IN A SPECIAL FLOOD
 HAZARD AREA. SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT MEANS ANY
 COMBINATION OF REPAIR, RECONSTRUCTION, REHABILITATION,
 ALTERATION, ADDITION, OR OTHER IMPROVEMENT OF A
 BUILDING OR STRUCTURE, FOR WHICH THE CUMULATIVE COST IN
 ANY FIVE YEAR PERIOD EQUALS OR EXCEEDS 50 PERCENT OF
 THE MARKET VALUE OF THE BUILDING OR STRUCTURE AT THE
 END OF THE FIVE YEAR PERIOD AND BEFORE THE IMPROVEMENT
 OR REPAIR IS STARTED. IF THE STRUCTURE HAS INCURRED
 "SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE," ANY REPAIRS ARE CONSIDERED
 SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT REGARDLESS OF THE ACTUAL REPAIR
 WORK PERFORMED.
 ACCORDING TO THE FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP WHICH WAS
 ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 5, 2017 BY THE CITY OF WEST PALM
 BEACH AND IS APPLICABLE TO THIS PROJECT, THE STRUCTURE
 IS LOCATED IN AN AE FLOOD ZONE WHICH IS A SPECIAL FLOOD
 HAZARD AREA. THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION FOR THE PROPERTY
 IS 7' NAVD 88. THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH HAS ADOPTED
 A FLOOD ORDINANCE THAT REQUIRES A TWO (2) FOOT FREE
 BOARD. THIS MEANS THAT THE LOWEST FLOOR AND ALL
 EQUIPMENT SERVICING THE RESIDENCE IS REQUIRED TO BE AT
 OR ABOVE 9' NAVD 88. THE GARAGE AND STORAGE CAN BE
 BELOW BFE, IF FLOOD VENTS ARE INSTALLED AND NO
 MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT THAT CAN BE DAMAGED BY FLOOD
 WATERS ARE BELOW BFE. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THESE
 REQUIREMENTS ON THE PLANS. SPECIFY ALL ELEVATIONS IN
 NAVD 88 ON ALL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS,
 SURVEYS, SITE PLANS, ARCHITECTURAL PLANS AND ELEVATION
 CERTIFICATES.
  
 4) THE STRUCTURAL PLANS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE
 ENGINEER'S ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE IN THE TITLE
 BLOCK ON EACH SHEET. FAC 61G15-23.003 PROCEDURES FOR
 PHYSICALLY SIGNING AND SEALING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
 REPORTS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS.
 ENGINEERING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, REPORTS OR OTHER
 DOCUMENTS WHICH MUST BE SIGNED, DATED AND SEALED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 471.025,
 F.S., AND RULE 61G15-23.001, F.A.C. MUST BE PHYSICALLY
 SIGNED, DATED AND SEALED AS PROVIDED HEREIN BY THE
 PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE.
 (1) THE LICENSEE SHALL SIGN BY HAND AN ORIGINAL OF THE
 LICENSEE'S SIGNATURE ON EACH PAGE REQUIRED TO BE
 SEALED. A SCANNED, FACSIMILE, DIGITALLY CREATED OR
 COPIED IMAGE OF THE LICENSEE'S SIGNATURE SHALL NOT BE
 USED.
 (2) THE LICENSEE MUST THEN USE A WET SEAL, A DIGITALLY
 CREATED SEAL, OR AN EMBOSSING SEAL PLACED PARTIALLY
 OVERLAPPING THE LICENSEE'S SIGNATURE ON EACH PAGE
 REQUIRED TO BE SEALED. THE PLACEMENT OF THE SEAL SHALL
 NOT RENDER THE SIGNATURE ILLEGIBLE.
  
 5) SPECIFY THE TERMITE PROTECTION THAT WILL BE PROVIDED
 ON THE PLANS. R318.1 TERMITE PROTECTION SHALL BE
 PROVIDED BY REGISTERED TERMITICIDES, INCLUDING SOIL
 APPLIED PESTICIDES, BAITING SYSTEMS, AND PESTICIDES
 APPLIED TO WOOD, OR OTHER APPROVED METHODS OF TERMITE
 PROTECTION LABELED FOR USE AS A PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT
 TO NEW CONSTRUCTION. SEE SECTION 202, ?REGISTERED
 TERMITICIDE.? UPON COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION OF THE
 TERMITE PROTECTIVE TREATMENT, A CERTIFICATE OF
 COMPLIANCE SHALL BE ISSUED TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT
 BY THE LICENSED PEST CONTROL COMPANY THAT CONTAINS THE
 FOLLOWING STATEMENT: "THE BUILDING HAS RECEIVED A
 COMPLETE TREATMENT FOR THE PREVENTION OF SUBTERRANEAN
 TERMITES. TREATMENT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULES AND
 LAWS ESTABLISHED BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
 AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES."
  
 6) PROVIDE ACCURATE AREA TABULATIONS FOR THE EXISTING
 CONDITIONED AND UNCONDITIONED SPACE, AS WELL AS, THE
 PROPOSED SPACES. FBC 107.2.1
  
 7) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT CAN BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. UPON APPROVAL,
 ONE SET OF PLANS SHALL BE SIGNED OUT AND SUBMITTED TO
 PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR AN IMPACT FEE REVIEW. THE PLANS
 WITH THE IMPACT FEE STAMP AND A COPY OF THE PAID
 RECEIPT MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CITY BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT BEFORE THE BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.

 8) MISSING PAGES FROM FORM THAT WAS SUBMITTED. SUBMIT
 ENERGY COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTS AS REQUIRED BY THE 2017 FBC
 ENERGY CONSERVATION SECTION R101.5.
  
 9) SHOW THAT THE DOOR FROM THE GARAGE TO THE DEN
 COMPLIES WITH FBC-R302.5.1
  
 10) IDENTIFY THE WINDOW AND DOOR TYPES ON THE PLANS.

 11) PROVIDE THE CLEAR OPENING SIZE OF THE ACW 2828
 CASEMENT WINDOW IN BEDROOM #2 TO SHOW THAT IT COMPLIES
 WITH FBC-R310.1 FOR EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE
 OPENINGS.
  
 12) SPECIFY SAFETY GLAZING FOR THE SHOWER ENCLOSURE,
 THE MASTER BATH WINDOW AT THE TUB AND THE WINDOWS IN
 THE SHOWERS IF THEY ARE WITHIN 60" OF THE SHOWER FLOOR.

 13) COMPLIED. EXISTING ROOF SYSTEM TO REMAIN. SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-R806.1 FOR ATTIC VENTILATION.
 ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACES FORMED WHERE
 CEILINGS ARE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF ROOF
 RAFTERS SHALL HAVE CROSS VENTILATION FOR EACH SEPARATE
 SPACE BY VENTILATING OPENINGS PROTECTED AGAINST THE
 ENTRANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW. VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL
 HAVE A LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM
 AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. VENTILATION OPENINGS
 HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION LARGER THAN 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM)
 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH CORROSION-RESISTANT WIRE CLOTH
 SCREENING, HARDWARE CLOTH OR SIMILAR MATERIAL WITH
 OPENINGS HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM)
 MINIMUM AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. OPENINGS IN ROOF
 FRAMING MEMBERS SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 SECTION R802.7. REQUIRED VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL
 OPEN DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE AIR. R806.2 THE MINIMUM
 NET FREE VENTILATING AREA SHALL BE 1/150 OF THE AREA OF
 THE VENTED SPACE.
  
 14) COMPLIED. EXISTING ATTIC ACCESS. SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH R807.1 ATTIC ACCESS. BUILDINGS WITH COMBUSTIBLE
 CEILING OR ROOF CONSTRUCTION SHALL HAVE AN ATTIC ACCESS
 OPENING TO ATTIC AREAS THAT HAVE A VERTICAL HEIGHT OF
 30 INCHES OR GREATER OVER AN AREA OF NOT LESS THAN 30
 SQUARE FEET. THE VERTICAL HEIGHT SHALL BE MEASURED FROM
 THE TOP OF THE CEILING FRAMING MEMBERS TO THE UNDERSIDE
 OF THE ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS. THE ROUGH-FRAMED OPENING
 SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 22 INCHES BY 30 INCHES (559 MM
 BY 762 MM) AND SHALL BE LOCATED IN A HALLWAY OR OTHER
 READILY ACCESSIBLE LOCATION. WHERE LOCATED IN A WALL,
 THE OPENING SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 22 INCHES WIDE BY 30
 INCHES HIGH. WHERE THE ACCESS IS LOCATED IN A CEILING,
 MINIMUM UNOBSTRUCTED HEADROOM IN THE ATTIC SPACE SHALL
 BE 30 INCHES AT SOME POINT ABOVE THE ACCESS MEASURED
 VERTICALLY FROM THE BOTTOM OF CEILING FRAMING MEMBERS.
 SEE SECTION M1305.1.3 FOR ACCESS REQUIREMENTS WHERE
 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED IN ATTICS.
  
 15) CLARIFY THE MEANING OF (2) KSD AND (2) TSD ON SHEET
 S4.0 OF THE PLANS. FBC 107.2.1
  
 16) COMPLIED. PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR FIXED WINDOWS,
 IN-SWING FRENCH DOORS AND BALCONY DECKING WERE
 SUBMITTED. FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT
 APPROVALS FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY FAC
 61G20-3.001 PER FLORIDA STATUTE 553.842 (5) THAT HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER
 OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT APPROVALS WITH
 FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
 AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR EACH OF THE DIFFERENT
 ROOFING MATERIALS, WINDOW (GLASS TYPES), STRUCTURAL
 MULLIONS AND EXTERIOR DOOR TYPES.
  
 17) WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A
 RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE
 CITY RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE INSERT
 CORRECTED PLAN SHEETS INTO THE SETS, REMOVE THE
 PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS AND MARK VOID ON THEM, AND
 KEEP THEM WITH THE SUBMITTALS.
  
 18) NEW COMMENT. 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE DIMENSIONED
 AND DRAWN UPON SUITABLE MATERIAL. CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE
 THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED
 AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE
 PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES,
 RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL. SUCH DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHALL
 CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE,
 AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS, WHERE QUALITY IS
 ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE TECHNICAL CODES. SUCH
 INFORMATION SHALL BE SPECIFIC, AND THE TECHNICAL CODES
 SHALL NOT BE CITED AS A WHOLE OR IN PART, NOR SHALL THE
 TERM "LEGAL" OR ITS EQUIVALENT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE
 FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION. ALL INFORMATION, DRAWINGS,
 SPECIFICATIONS AND ACCOMPANYING DATA SHALL BEAR THE
 NAME AND SIGNATURE OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
 DESIGN.
  
 19) NEW COMMENT. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE SETS OF PLANS AND
 OTHER CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
 RE-SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE
 YOU ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A RE-SUBMITTAL FORM TO BE
 SUBMITTED WITH THE CORRECTED PLANS AND/OR OTHER
 DOCUMENTS. THE PERMIT CLERK WILL RETRIEVE THE DENIED
 APPLICATION, PLANS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS FOR YOU. YOU ARE
 REQUIRED TO REMOVE THE OLD PLAN SHEETS THAT HAVE BEEN
 CORRECTED AND REPLACE THEM WITH THE NEW ONES. THE CLERK
 WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A STAPLE REMOVER AND A STAPLER.
 ONE SET OF THE OLD PLAN SHEETS THAT HAVE BEEN REMOVED
 SHALL BE MARKED AS VOIDED AND RESUBMITTED ALONG WITH
 THE TWO (OR MORE) SETS THAT CONTAIN THE CORRECTED
 SHEETS. IF THERE ARE ANY SHEETS THAT HAVE BEEN STAMPED
 FOR COUNTY IMPACT FEES, HOA APPROVAL STAMPS OR OTHERS,
 RESUBMIT THOSE SHEETS.
 IF ALL OF THE PLAN SHEETS HAVE BEEN CORRECTED, THEN TWO
 (OR MORE) SETS OF THE NEW PLANS AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS
