 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 1- BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT CAN BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. UPON APPROVAL,
 ONE SET OF PLANS SHALL BE SIGNED OUT AND SUBMITTED TO
 PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR AN IMPACT FEE REVIEW. THE PLANS
 WITH THE IMPACT FEE STAMP AND A COPY OF THE PAID
 RECEIPT MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CITY BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT BEFORE THE BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.

 2-PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 SEC. 1106 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING.
  
 3- THE CURRENT CODE IS THE FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) NOT
 THE FBC 5TH EDITION (2014). CHAPTER 553 FLORIDA
 STATUTE. UPDATE ALL PLANS AS REQUIRED.
  
 4- SPECIFY THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR EXTERIOR DOORS AND
 WINDOWS. SEC. R301.2.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 5- EXISTING BATHROOM WINDOW WAS CLOSED TO ALLOW FOR
 ADDITION. NEED VENTILATION. FOR EXISTING BATHROOM.
 SPECIFY EXHAUST FAN AS REQUIRED BY THE EXCEPTION ON
 SEC. R303.3 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 6- WALL SECTION A/S-1:
 A) SPECIFY CONNECTOR FROM 2X6 STUDS TO BOTTOM PLATE.
 SEC. R301.1
  
 B) SPECIFY THE 6" CLEARANCE FOR TERMITE INSPECTION AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R318.7 INSPECTION FOR TERMITES.
 IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR INSPECTION FOR TERMITE
 INFESTATION, CLEARANCE BETWEEN EXTERIOR WALL COVERINGS
 AND FINAL EARTH GRADE ON THE EXTERIOR OF A BUILDING
 SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM).
 NOTE: KEEP IN MIND THAT FOOTING NEEDS TO BE 12" BELOW
 GRADE.
  
 C) ROOF NEEDS CROSS VENTILATION AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R806.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. R-19 BATT INSULATION DOESN'T
 FIT ON 2X6 ROOF JOISTS. IT DOESN'T ALLOW ROOF CROSS
 VENTILATION. SEC. R806.3 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. REVISE AS
 REQUIRED INCLUDING THE ROOF FRAMING PLAN.
 NOTE: REVISE THE 2X4 BLOCKING LOCATION TO ALLOW CROSS
 VENTILATION. ALSO, COORDINATE R-VALUE WITH THE ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS TO AVOID CONFLICTS.
  
 D) NEED TO SPECIFY THE 7/8" MIN. STUCCO THICKNESS AS
 REQUIRED BY TABLE R702.1(1).
  
 E) NEED TO SPECIFY 2 LAYERS OF WATER RESISTIVE BARRIERS
 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R703.7.3 WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIERS.
  
 7- ROOF FRAMING PLAN ON SHEET S-1: SPECIFY ROOF PITCH
 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R905.11.1 SLOPE.
 MODIFIED BITUMEN MEMBRANE ROOFS SHALL HAVE A DESIGN
 SLOPE OF NOT LESS THAN ONE-FOURTH UNIT VERTICAL IN 12
 UNITS HORIZONTAL (2-PERCENT SLOPE) FOR DRAINAGE
  
 8- REVISE ROOF SHEATHING NAILING INFORMATION ON SHEET
 S-1. DIMENSION FOR "Z" NEEDS TO BE 4'-0" MIN. AS
 REQUIRED BY NOTE ON FIGURE R301.2(7).
  
 9- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 A) WINDOW AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
  
 B) EXTERIOR DOOR AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
  
 C) FLAT ROOF AS SHOWN ON PLANS. AND, CLEARLY MARK WHICH
 APPROVED ASSEMBLY IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED TO VERIFY
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE DESIGN PRESSURES OF SEC. R301.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. IF THE SELECTED ASSEMBLY DOESN'T MEET
 THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR ALL ROOF ZONES, THEN SIGNED
 AND SEALED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED. RAS 117
 CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FLORIDA
 ENGINEER'S SEAL AND ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE,
 COPIES OR OTHER FACSIMILES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. FAC
 61G15 - 23.002 DIGITAL SIGNATURES ARE ONLY ACCEPTABLE
 FOR ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED PLANS AND DOCUMENTS.
  
 D) ALL SIMPSON STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS SPECIFIED ON PLANS
 AND DETAILS. PROVIDE ONLY THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL
 COVER PAGE AND PAGE SHOWING THE SPECIFIED CONNECTOR OR
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL TO LIST THE FLORIDA PRODUCT
 APPROVAL NUMBER NEXT TO EACH SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
  
 10- DESIGNER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 ****PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO HELP EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
  
 ****PLEASE INSERT ANY REVISED DRAWING AND REMOVE OLD
 DRAWING. SUBMIT OLD DRAWINGS FOR REFERENCE OF ALREADY
 REVIEWED DRAWINGS. DON?T STAPLE OLD DRAWINGS TO PLANS.
