 GENERAL: PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW
 EMERGENCY RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE
 BUILDING DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE
 ORDERED FROM WWW.KNOXBOX.COM.
  
 SHEET C-2: PROVIDE A FIRE HYDRANT ALONG THE DRIVE OF
 THE WEST SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
  
 SHEET C-2: PER SECTION 18.2.3.5.3 (NFPA 1), FIRE LANES
 SHALL BE MARKED WITH FREESTANDING SIGNS READING, "FIRE
 LANE - NO PARKING BY ORDER OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT."
 SIGNS SHALL BE 12" X 18" WITH A WHITE BACKGROUND AND
 RED LETTERS AND SHALL BE A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN FEET IN
 HEIGHT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SIGN. SIGNS SHALL BE WITHIN
 SIGHT OF THE TRAFFIC FLOW AND BE SPACED A MAXIMUM OF 60
 FEET APART. ENSURE EXISTING FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS
 ROADS HAVE A SURFACE DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE FIRE
 APPARATUS WEIGHING AT LEAST 36 TONS. ACCESS ROADS SHALL
 HAVE AN UNOBSTRUCTED WIDTH OF NOT LESS THAN 20 FEET AND
 AN UNOBSTRUCTED VERTICAL CLEARANCE OF NOT LESS THAN 13
 FEET 6 INCHES.
  
 SHEET A101: THE TRAVEL DISTANCE WITHIN THE NEWLY
 CREATED SMOKE COMPARTMENT CREATES A TRAVEL DISTANCE
 EXCEEDING 200 FEET TO THE ADJACENT SMOKE COMPARTMENT
 FOR THE DEFEND-IN-PLACE STRATEGY UTILIZED BY HEALTHCARE
 OCCUPANCIES. PER NFPA 101 SECTION 18.3.7 SUBDIVISION OF
 BUILDING SPACES. BUILDINGS CONTAINING HEALTH CARE
 FACILITIES SHALL BE SUBDIVIDED BY SMOKE BARRIERS, AS
 FOLLOWS: (4) "TO LIMIT THE TRAVEL DISTANCE FROM ANY
 POINT TO REACH A DOOR IN THE REQUIRED SMOKE BARRIER TO
 A DISTANCE NOT EXCEEDING 200 FEET." RECOMMEND DIVIDING
 THE NEW SMOKE COMPARTMENT INTO TWO SMALLER
 COMPARTMENTS.
