 1) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT PROVIDED HOW CODE
 COMPLIANCE WAS DEVELOPED. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2014
 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE SECTION 301.1. THE REPAIR,
 ALTERATION, CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY, ADDITION OR RELOCATION
 OF ALL EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE
 METHODS LISTED IN SECTIONS 301.1.1 THROUGH 301.1.3 AS
 SELECTED BY THE APPLICANT. SECTIONS 301.1.1 THROUGH
 301.1.3 SHALL NOT BE APPLIED IN COMBINATION WITH EACH
 OTHER.
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 2) THE VALUE OF THE PROJECT IS EXTREMELY LOW IF THE
 VALUE OF THE SUB-CONTRACTORS IS INCLUDED IN THE SCOPE
 OF WORK. THE VALUE IS STILL LOW FOR THE BUILDING
 CONTRACTORS WORK.
  
 108.3* BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION.
 IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE
 CLAIMED VALUATION OF BUILDING, ALTERATION, STRUCTURE,
 ELECTRICAL, GAS, MECHANICAL, OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS
 APPEARS TO BE UNDER ESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE
 PERMIT SHALL BE DENIED. FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES,
 VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE TOTAL
 REPLACEMENT PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE
 STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR
 FINISHES, NORMAL SITE WORK (EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL FOR
 BUILDINGS), ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES, MARKETING
 COST, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY LAND VALUE.
 VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST PUBLISHED
 DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS SERVICES
 (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.) WITH REGIONAL ADJUSTMENTS
 FOR LOCATION AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE
 CONGRESS.
  
 THIS MAIN BUILDING PERMIT WILL INCLUDE THE FEES FOR THE
 MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING & ROOFING PERMITS.
 WHEN THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR COMES IN FOR A BUILDING
 PERMIT WITH THE SIGNED PERMIT APPLICATION FORM BY THE
 QUALIFIER AND OWNER AND BRINGS IN THE LISTED
 SUB-PERMITS M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS SIGNED BY THE
 QUALIFIER OF EACH COMPANY, THEIR INSURANCES AND
 LICENSURE UP TO DATE, THE M-E-P AND ROOFING PERMITS ARE
 FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS COME IN
 LATER THERE WILL BE AN $80.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR
 EACH PERMIT.
  
 3) SHEET A-1 UNDER THE SCOPE OF WORK, COMMENT # 9
 INDICATES THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF TUB. THE PLANS
 DOES NOT INDICATE THE TUB SURROUND TO BE REWORKED BUT
 THE REMOVAL OF THE TUB, THEY USUALLY NEED REPLACEMENT.
 IF SO THEY WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH 2014 FBC-B SECTION;
 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE.
 GLASS MAT WATER-RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING PANELS,
 DISCRETE NONASBESTOS FIBER-CEMENT INTERIOR SUBSTRATE
 SHEETS OR NONASBESTOS FIBER-MAT REINFORCED CEMENTITIOUS
 BACKER UNITS IN COMPLIANCE WITH ASTM C 1178, C 1288 OR
 C 1325 AND INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER
 RECOMMENDATIONS SHALL BE USED AS A BASE FOR WALL TILE
 IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALL AND CEILING PANELS IN
 SHOWER AREAS.
  
 4) SHEET A-1 UNDER THE SCOPE OF WORK, COMMENT # 7
 INDICATES THE INSTALLATION OF TILE OVER EXISTING WOOD
 FLOORING. NOTE FOR THE 2ND AND 3RD FLOOR UNITS WILL
 NEED TO PROVIDE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT BEFORE THE TILE IS
 INSTALLED. FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE, VINYL AND WOOD
 FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT
 TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS.
 PLEASE PROVIDE TEST REPORTS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 4A) FBC-B 2014 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492.
  
 4B) FBC-B 2014 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND.
 WALLS, PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES
 SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM
 PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION
 CLASS (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED)
 FOR AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM
 E 90.
  
 4C) TYPE III-TYPE V CONSTRUCTION:
 FBC-B-2014 720.2 CONCEALED INSTALLATION. INSULATING
 MATERIALS, WHERE CONCEALED AS INSTALLED IN BUILDINGS OF
 ANY TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION, SHALL HAVE A FLAME SPREAD
 INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 25 AND A SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX
 OF NOT MORE THAN 450.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
