 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A-1 OFFICE 106 THE ENTRY DOOR DOES NOT COMPLY
 WITH THE 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 404.2.4
 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT DOORS. MUST HAVE 18 INCHES ON
 THE PULL LATCH SIDE WHEN THE DOOR.
 SEE FIGURE 404.2.4.1(A) FRONT APPROACH, PULL SIDE.
  
 2) SHEET A-1 THE EXISTING CORRIDOR DOOR BETWEEN THE 2
 HOUR STAIR WELL AND OFFICE 103 APPEARS TO ONLY HAVE 1
 FOOT MANEUVERING CLEARANCE ON THE LATCH PULL SIDE OF
 THE DOOR. UNDER PERMIT 12100574 THE SAME DOOR WAS DRAWN
 TO 3/16TH INCH SCALE AND APPEARED TO BE A TIGHT 18
 INCHES. PLEASE PROVIDE THE ACTUAL DIMENSION FOR
 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES. IF THE DOOR DOES NOT HAVE THE
 REQUIRED 18 INCHES THEN UNDER THE
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 202.4.1 DISPROPORTIONATE
 COST UP TO 20% OF THE PERMIT VALUE ($8,400.00) CAN BE
 SPENT IN ORDER TO BRING THE TENANT SPACE UP TO THE
 PRESENT ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
  
 202.4.1 DISPROPORTIONATE COST.
 ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE DEEMED
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN THE
 COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION TO THE
 PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COSTS THAT MAY BE COUNTED AS
 EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE
 ALTERED AREA; (II) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING
 RESTROOMS ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS INSTALLING GRAB BARS,
 ENLARGING TOILET STALLS, INSULATING PIPES, OR
 INSTALLING ACCESSIBLE FAUCET CONTROLS; (III) COSTS
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES, SUCH
 AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT,
 INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT
 TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING
 AN INACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
