 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A3 IDENTIFIES THE WALL TYPE (1/A8), THE
 STORAGE ROOM WALLS WITH A 1 HOUR FIRE RATING, PLEASE
 ALSO LABEL THE WALLS AS REQUIRED IN THE:
 2014 FBC-B 703.7 MARKING AND IDENTIFICATION.
 (3) INCLUDE LETTERING NOT LESS THAN 3 INCHES (76 MM )
 IN HEIGHT WITH A MINIMUM 3/8 INCH (9.5 MM) STROKE IN A
 CONTRASTING COLOR INCORPORATING THE SUGGESTED WORDING.
 ?FIRE AND/OR SMOKE BARRIER?PROTECT ALL OPENINGS? OR
 OTHER WORDING.
  
 2) SHEET A-11 THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN SHOWS THE CAF?, ROOM
 127 WITH 21 SEATS. PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH
 SECTION 226.1 OF THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE. 1 WHERE DINING
 SURFACES ARE PROVIDED FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF FOOD OR
 DRINK, AT LEAST 5 PERCENT OF THE SEATING SPACES AND
 STANDING SPACES AT THE DINING SURFACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH 902. 21 X 0.05= 1.05 YOU ALWAYS ROUND UP OR (2)
 ACCESSIBLE SEATS.
  
 3) SHEET A-11 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET AND SHEET A-5
 DETAILS 2, 4 & 5 SHOW HI-TOP SEATING OF 42 INCHES TO
 THE TOP. OF THE 2 HI TOPS AND THE COMMON TABLES AT
 LEAST 1 HI-TOP AND 1 TABLE WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH:
  
 902.1 .DINING SURFACES AND WORK SURFACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH 902.2 AND 902.3. ADVISORY 902.1 DINING SURFACES
 INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, BARS, TABLES, LUNCH
 COUNTERS, AND BOOTHS. EXAMPLES OF WORK SURFACES INCLUDE
 WRITING SURFACES, STUDY CARRELS, STUDENT LABORATORY
 STATIONS, BABY CHANGING AND OTHER TABLES OR FIXTURES
 FOR PERSONAL GROOMING, COUPON COUNTERS, AND WHERE
 COVERED BY THE ABA SCOPING PROVISIONS, EMPLOYEE WORK
 STATIONS.
  
 3)(A) 902.2 CLEAR FLOOR OR GROUND SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR
 SPACE COMPLYING WITH 305 POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD
 APPROACH SHALL BE PROVIDED. KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE
 COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 3)(B) 902.3 HEIGHT. THE TOPS OF DINING SURFACES AND
 WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES MINIMUM AND 34 INCHES
 MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 4) SHEET A6 DETAIL # 10 THE REAR ELEVATION. THE REAR
 GRAB BAR IS DIMENSIONED TO START AT 3 INCHES FROM THE
 WALL. PLEASE NOTE IN THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION
 604.5.2 THE REAR GRAB BAR NEEDS TO MEET BOTH OF THESE
 REQUIREMENTS THE SHORT END OF THE GRAB BAR MUST BE 12
 INCHES MINIMUM OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE WATER CLOSET
 AND THE LONG END A MINIMUM OF 2 FEET PAST THE
 CENTERLINE OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE WATER CLOSE.
 TO CORRECT THIS, YOU CAN EITHER MOVE THE GRAB BAR TO
 START 6 INCHES FROM THE WALL THEN THE 3-0 FOOT GRAB BAR
 WILL WORK OR TO KEEP THE GRAB BAR STARTING 3 INCHES
 FROM THE WALL THEN THE OVERALL LENGTH WOULD NEED TO BE
 A MINIMUM OF 3 FEET 3 INCHES TO MEET BOTH REQUIREMENTS.
  
 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
