 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1)THRESHOLD BUILDING. THIS BUILDINGS STRUCTURAL
 ALTERATIONS BEING A HIGHRISE BUILDING MEETS THE
 QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SPECIAL INSPECTOR. FL S. S.
 553.71(7) ?THRESHOLD BUILDING" MEANING ANY BUILDING
 WHICH IS GREATER THAN (3) STORIES OR 50 FT. IN HEIGHT,
 OR WHICH HAS AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AS
 DENIED IN THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE WHICH EXCEEDS 5,000
 SQ. FT. IN AREA AND AN OCCUPANT CONTENT OF GREATER THAN
 500 PERSONS.
 1A) 109.3.6.1 THRESHOLD INSPECTION PLAN. THE ENFORCING
 AGENCY SHALL REQUIRE A (WRITTEN/ TYPED) SPECIAL
 INSPECTOR TO PERFORM STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS ON A
 THRESHOLD BUILDING PURSUANT TO A STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
 PLAN PREPARED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE STRUCTURAL
 INSPECTION PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENFORCING
 AGENCY PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT FOR
 THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THRESHOLD BUILDING. THE PURPOSE
 OF THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTION PLAN IS TO PROVIDE
 SPECIFIC INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULES SO THAT
 THE BUILDING CAN BE ADEQUATELY INSPECTED FOR COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE PERMITTED DOCUMENTS.

 BUILDINGS A SPECIAL INSPECTOR AS REQUIRED BY FL S S
 553.79(5) FLORIDA STATUTES TO THE MINIMUM INSPECTIONS
 REQUIRED BY THIS CODE. THE THRESHOLD INSPECTION FORMS
 ARE REQUIRED TO BE FILED OUT BY ALL PARTIES WITH
 INTEREST, NOTARIZED AND RETURNED TO THIS OFFICE, AND
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED BEFORE PERMIT ISSUANCE WILL TAKE
 PLACE.
  
 1C) THRESHOLD BLDG., REQUIRED STATEMENT: W.P.B.
 AMENDMENT 110.3.7.4.4 ALL PLANS FOR THE BUILDING WHICH
 ARE REQUIRED TO BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE ARCHITECT
 OR ENGINEER OF RECORD CONTAIN A STATEMENT THAT, TO THE
 BEST OF THE ARCHITECT'S OR ENGINEER'S KNOWLEDGE, THE
 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE
 FIRE-SAFETY STANDARDS AS DETERMINED BY THE LOCAL
 AUTHORITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION AND 633
 FLORIDA STATUTE.
  
 1D) FOR THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR PLEASE PROVIDE A RESUME'
 OF INSPECTION EXPERIENCE ON PREVIOUS PROJECT. THE
 RESUME' MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY ALL CERTIFICATES AS
 SPECIFIED HEREIN. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OR HIS DESIGNEE
 WILL REVIEW THE RESUME'. AFTER THE RESUME' IS REVIEWED,
 AN INTERVIEW WILL BE SCHEDULED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
 WILL AN INSPECTOR BE INTERVIEWED FOR WORK WITHOUT FIRST
 MEETING THE ABOVE CRITERIA.
  
 1E) THE CONTRACTOR WILL PRODUCE A JOB SUMMARY OR
 HISTORY FOR THIS TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION.
  
 1F) NOTE FOR PAPER PLANS 3 SETS OF DOCUMENTS ARE
 REQUIRED. FOR DIGITAL PLANS, AFTER PERMIT ISSUANCE,
 PLEASE E-MAIL THE PERMIT LIBRARIAN OF THE PERMIT BEING
 ISSUED, THE PERMIT LIBRARIAN WILL THEN E-MAIL YOU THE
 APPROVED AND BATCH STAMPED PLANS SO YOU MAY PRINT YOUR
 PLANS, TWO SETS OF PLANS WILL NEED TO BE PRINTED IN
 COLOR, (1) FOR THE THRESHOLD INSPECTOR, THE OTHER FOR
 THE MEP INSPECTORS OTHER PLANS YOU WISH TO PRINT MAYBE
 IN BLACK & WHITE..
 2010 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION, 110.3.7 THRESHOLD
 BUILDINGS, GUIDELINES AND POLICIES FOR PROJECTS
 CONCERNING SPECIAL INSPECTORS.
  
 1G) 110.3.7.4.3 ALL SHORING AND RESHORING PROCEDURES,
 PLANS AND DETAILS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENFORCEMENT
 AGENCY FOR RECORDKEEPING. EACH SHORING AND RESHORING
 INSTALLATION SHALL BE SUPERVISED, INSPECTED AND
 CERTIFIED TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE SHORING
 DOCUMENTS BY THE CONTRACTOR.

 MONTHS, ABANDONMENT OF JOB, NO INSPECTION ACTIVITY.
  
 2) SHEET A-021AT GRID LINE B1-B2/ 5.1-6.5 ALSO HAS A
 NOTE NUMBER D-4 REFERS TO THE REMOVAL OF STAIRS, REFERS
 AGAIN TO THE STRUCTURAL NARRATIVE FOR THE EXTENT OF
 REMOVAL. SHEET A-201 THE SAME PLAZA LEVEL MAKES NO
 REFERENCE TO A FLOOR INFILL. SHEET S-202 SHOWS A DETAIL
 AT THE REMOVED STAIR 09/ S-401. NO SUCH DETAIL ON SHEET
 S-401. WERE THE STAIRS THAT WERE REMOVED JUST
 CONVENIENCE STAIRS IT APPEARS THAT THERE WAS NO SHAFT?

 THE EXISTING VESTIBULE, AND ENTRANCE DOORS AND
 SIDELIGHTS. SHEET A-201 SHOWS THE ENTRY DOORS IN A NEW
 LOCATION. SHEET A-600 HAS THE DOOR SCHEDULE AND THESE
 DOORS LISTED AS DOORS L002 A & B. THERE IS NO REFERENCE
 IF THESE DOORS ARE NEW ARE OR TRYING TO BE REUSED. SEE
 THE W. P. B. ADMINISTRATIVE CODE REFERENCE TO USED

 104.9.1 USED MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT. THE USE OF USED
 RECYCLED OR RECLAIMED MATERIALS WHICH MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE FOR NEW MATERIALS IS

 5) WITH THE EXTERIOR STAIRS, RAMP (WEST SIDE OF THE
 BUILDING) AND THE ENTRY DOORS ON BOTH THE WEST AND EAST
 SIDES BEING REPLACED, PLEASE PROVIDE AN EGRESS PLAN OF
 HOW EGRESS WILL BE MAINTAINED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
  
 2014 FBC-B 3310.2 MAINTENANCE OF MEANS OF EGRESS.
 REQUIRED MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL
 TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, REMODELING OR
 ALTERATIONS TO ANY BUILDING.
 EXCEPTION: EXISTING MEANS OF EGRESS NEED NOT BE
 MAINTAINED WHERE APPROVED TEMPORARY MEANS OF EGRESS
 SYSTEMS AND FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED.
  
 6) PLEASE REVIEW SHEET A-201 SEE STAIR SHAFT IN GRID
 LINES B3-B4 & 5.1-6. IN THE PAST THERE WAS CREATED A
 NONCONFORMITY IN THE STAIRWELL (SHAFT). IT APPEARS
 THERE WAS A DOOR REMOVED FROM THE PARKING LEVEL THAT
 LET DIRECT ACCESS INTO THE ATRIUM AREA. THE PLANS HAVE
 THIS BLOCKED OFF BUT THE PLANS DO NOT RATE THE WALL AS
 A 2 HOUR WALL. THE HIGHRISE STAIR ENCLOSURE IS A 2 HOUR
 FIRE RATED SHAFT. THIS PORTION OF THE WALL IS A INFILL,
 PLEASE REQUIRE A 2 HOUR FIRE RATED WALL IN THIS INFILL.

 7) SHEET A-301 SHOWS NEW EXTERIOR GLASS GUARDRAIL
 SYSTEMS WITH LAMINATED STRUCTURAL GLASS WITH # 4
 STAINLESS CAP. PLEASE PROVIDE SHOP DRAWING TO BE
 REVIEWED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD BEFORE BEING
 SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT. SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH 2014 FBC-B 2407.1.1 LOADS.
 THE PANELS AND THEIR SUPPORT SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGNED
 TO WITHSTAND THE LOADS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 1607.8. A
 SAFETY FACTOR OF (4) FOUR SHALL BE USED.
