 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) PLEASE NOTE BEFORE THIS PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED A
 REGISTERED FLORIDA CERTIFIED BUILDING CONTRACTOR,
 CERTIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTOR OR BUILDING CONTRACTOR
 THAT HOLDS A PALM BEACH COUNTY COMPETENCY, THE
 QUALIFIER WILL NEED TO SIGN THE PERMIT APPLICATION AND
 BE REGISTERED WITH THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH.
  
 2) WITHIN THE PERMIT DOCUMENTS THERE IS STRUCTURAL
 ENGINEERING DRAWINGS FOR RACK STORAGE. THIS WILL
 REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT, REVIEW AND ASSOCIATED FEES.
 PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE COVERSHEET OF THE 18 PAGE DOCUMENT
 IS SIGNED AND SEALED BUT DOES NOT LIST ON THIS SHEET
 THE AMOUNT OF PAGES IT COVERS, NOR IS THERE A SIGNED
 AND SEALED INDEX LISTING THE PAGES COVERED UNDER THIS
 SEAL. PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE A SEPARATE FLOOR PLAN
 INDICATING THE LOCATION SIZE AND HEIGHT OF THE RACK
 STORAGE UNITS.

 SHEET FOR ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE USED AND
 THAT SHEET MUST BE SIGNED IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE OF THE

 ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION WITH SUFFICIENT INFORMATION

 3) 108.3* BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. THIS MAIN BUILDING
 PERMIT WILL INCLUDE THE FEES FOR THE MECHANICAL,
 ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING & ROOFING PERMITS. WHEN THE
 GENERAL CONTRACTOR COMES IN FOR A BUILDING PERMIT WITH
 THE SIGNED PERMIT APPLICATION FORM BY THE QUALIFIER AND
 OWNER AND BRINGS IN THE LISTED SUB-PERMITS M-E-P &
 ROOFING PERMITS SIGNED BY THE QUALIFIER OF EACH
 COMPANY, THEIR INSURANCES AND LICENSURE UP TO DATE, THE
 M-E-P AND ROOFING PERMITS ARE FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE
 M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS COME IN LATER THERE WILL BE AN
 $80.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR EACH PERMIT.
  
 ALL OTHER PERMITS FIRE SPRINKLER, FIRE ALARM, RACK
 STORAGE, EXHAUST HOODS, ANSUL SYSTEMS OR ALTERNATIVE
 AUTOMATIC FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS, WALK IN COOLERS &
 FREEZERS, ALL LOW VOLTAGE PERMITS, GENERATORS & FUEL
 TANKS, GAS PERMIT, POOL, JACUZZI AND ASSOCIATED
 SUB-PERMITS, AWNING, SCREEN ENCLOSURES, CANOPY, FENCE,
 LANDSCAPE , IRRIGATION, AUGER CAST PILE AND OR
 FOUNDATION OR STRUCTURE ONLY PERMIT WILL BE SEPARATE
 REVIEWS AND ASSOCIATED FEES WITH EACH PERMIT.
 PLEASE PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED LIST AND SUBTRACT THESE LINE
 ITEMS AND THEIR VALUE FROM THE OVERALL BUILDING VALUE
 STATED ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THIS PROJECT. THE
 REMAINING BALANCE WILL BE AFFECTIVELY THE VALUE OF THE
 BUILDING YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR THIS PERMIT. THE
 BUILDING DEPARTMENT DOES NOT WANT TO COLLECT TWICE FOR
 THE VALUE OF THESE SUB-PERMITS NOT COVERED UNDER THE
 PRIME OR MASTER PERMIT.
 PLEASE SUBTRACT THE VALUE OF THE RACK STORAGE PERMIT
 FROM THE OVERALL VALUE OF THE JOB, SO YOU WILL ONLY BE
 CHARGED THIS VALUE ONCE.
  
 4) ART IN PUBLIC PLACES. THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT THAT APPLIES
 TO ANY REMODEL OR NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR WHICH
 THE PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED AFTER 6/29/14, AND
 THE TOTAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE EQUAL TO OR
 GREATER THAN $750,000 WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH THIS
 ORDINANCE.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ORDINANCE NO. 4504-14, AND
 CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V,
 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-123(A) AND SECTION
 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS 1% OF THE TOTAL
 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE
 V, ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND
 NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO
 THE ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS.

 FULLY FIRE SPRINKLERED. THIS REVIEW THERE IS NO FIRE
 SPRINKLER LAYOUT OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM.

 107.3.5.1 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS:
 107.3.5.1.1 BUILDING (5) SCHEMATIC FIRE SPRINKLERS.
  
 6) THE COVERSHEET SHOWS THIS TENANT SPACE AS A MIXED
 USE OCCUPANCY. THE OVERALL SQUARE FOOTAGE OF THE TENANT
 SPACE BEING 13, 190 SQ. FT. THE STORAGE AREA BEING 8597
 SQ. FT. AND THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA BEING BUSINESS OF
 4593 SQ. FT. THE PLANS SHOW ON SHEET A1.0 A SHOWROOM
 (101) BEING APPROXIMATELY 1600 SQ. FT. OR OVER 10 % OF
 THE OVERALL GROSS FLOOR AREA (FBC-B 508.2.1). THIS
 CONSTITUTES ANOTHER ACCESSORY OCCUPANCY BEING
 MERCANTILE SINCE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE IS OVER 10% OF THE
 AREA. PLEASE ALSO LOOK AT THE INCREASED OCCUPANCY LOAD

 7) SHEET A6.0 INDICATES THE 2 DOORS WITHIN THE 1 HOUR
 OCCUPANCY SEPARATION SHOW A 1 HOUR FIRE RATING. THE
 DESIGNER CAN DESIGN MORE STRINGENT THAN THE CODE IF
 DESIRED BUT IN DOING SO THE 1 HOUR FIRE RATING ON THE
 OPENING PROTECTIVES (DOORS) LIMITS THE SIZE OF THE DOOR
 VISION PANEL TO 100 INCHES, SEE 2014 FBC-B TABLE 716.5.
 THE MINIMUM CODE REQUIREMENT OF A 1 HOUR FIRE RATING ON
 THE WALL FOR OCCUPANCY SEPARATION( OTHER FIRE BARRIERS
 IN TABLE 716.5) ONLY REQUIRES 45 MINUTE DOOR AND THE
 VISION PANEL SIZE LIMITATION IS TO THE MAXIMUM SIZE
 TESTED. 2014 FBC-B TABLE 716.5.
  
 8) SHEET A7.0 DETAIL WALL TYPES 1, 2 & 3 SHOWS THE DROP
 CEILING WITH BATT INSULATION LAID DIRECTLY ON TOP OF
 THE DROP CEILING. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2014 FBC-ENERGY
 CODE C402.2.1 ROOF ASSEMBLY EXCEPTIONS: (2) INSULATION
 INSTALLED ON A SUSPENDED CEILING WITH REMOVABLE CEILING
 TILES SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED PART OF THE MINIMUM
 THERMAL RESISTANCE OF THE ROOF INSULATION.
  
 9) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
