 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) BOTH SHEETS A2 AND LS1 ARE MISSING THE 2 HOUR RATING
 BETWEEN OCCUPANCIES SEE WALL BETWEEN THE OFFICE AND
 UNIT # 1. SEE 2014 FBC-B TABLE 508.4.
  
 2) FROM THE 2ND PLAN REVIEW OF THE ISSUED PLAN SET OF
 DOCUMENTS, SEE FIRES PROVISO ON THE REAR STEPS
 HANDRAILS ARE REQUIRED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STEPS. NOT
 INCORPORATED IN THIS SET OF PLANS. 2014 FBC-B 1009.15
 HANDRAILS. STAIRWAYS SHALL HAVE HANDRAILS ON EACH SIDE
 AND SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 1012.
  
 1012.6 HANDRAIL EXTENSIONS.
 HANDRAILS SHALL RETURN TO A WALL, GUARD OR THE WALKING
 SURFACE OR SHALL BE CONTINUOUS TO THE HANDRAIL OF AN
 ADJACENT STAIR FLIGHT OR RAMP RUN. WHERE HANDRAILS ARE
 NOT CONTINUOUS BETWEEN FLIGHTS, THE HANDRAILS SHALL
 EXTEND HORIZONTALLY AT LEAST 12 INCHES (305 MM) BEYOND
 THE TOP RISER AND CONTINUE TO SLOPE FOR THE DEPTH OF
 ONE TREAD BEYOND THE BOTTOM RISER.
  
 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 307.3 POST MOUNTED OBJECTS.
 WHERE THE HANDRAIL ON THE OUTER SIDE OF THE STAIRS IS
 REQUIRED TO HAVE THE HORIZONTAL EXTENSION OF 12 INCHES
 IT WILL NEED TO RETURN UPON ITSELF NO HIGHER THAN 27
 INCHES FOR THE LIMITS OF PROTRUDING OBJECTS.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
