 DENIED BY BUILDING
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THE PERMIT AND PLANS SPECIFY THAT THIS PROJECT IS AN
 EXISTING COTTAGE THAT WILL BE REMODELED AND HAVE AND
 ADDITION. ALTHOUGH, A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THIS WORK
 WAS APPLIED FOR, A PERMIT WAS NEVER ISSUED TO CONVERT
 THIS DETACHED GARAGE INTO LIVING SPACE. THERE IS AN
 AFFIDAVIT ON FILE DATED APRIL 29, 2016 THAT STATES THE
 WORK ON THE GARAGE CONVERSION WAS NEVER DONE. ANY WORK
 THAT WAS DONE TO THE DETACHED GARAGE WAS DONE SO
 WITHOUT PERMITS OR INSPECTIONS. PLEASE BE ADVISED THE
 INSPECTOR MAY REQUIRE PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED WORK TO BE
 MADE ACCESSIBLE AND OPEN FOR INSPECTION OR REQUIRE
 ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION FOR ALL CONCEALED WORK
 PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED PURSUANT TO FBC 110 & FBC 117.
 FBC 110.1 GENERAL - CONSTRUCTION OR WORK FOR WHICH A
 PERMIT IS REQUIRED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION BY
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND SUCH CONSTRUCTION OR WORK
 SHALL REMAIN ACCESSIBLE AND EXPOSED FOR INSPECTION
 PURPOSES UNTIL APPROVED.
  
 FBC 117 - THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY REQUIRE TESTS OR
 TEST REPORTS AS PROOF OF COMPLIANCE. REQUIRED TESTS ARE
 TO BE MADE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER, OR AGENT, BY AN
 APPROVED TESTING LABORATORY OR OTHER APPROVED AGENCY.
  
 2) ON SHEET 01 THE PROJECT IS INCORRECTLY SPECIFIED AS
 A LEVEL 2 ALTERATION. THIS IS A LEVEL 3 ALTERATION WITH
 AN ADDITION. FBC EXISTING BUILDING CHAPTER 5
  
 3) THIS IS ALSO A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY WITH NO CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION. FBC EXISTING BUILDING SECTION
 1001.2
  
 4) THE FRENCH DOOR THAT IS MARKED AS EXISTING DOOR ON
 THE PLANS WAS INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMITS OR INSPECTIONS.
 SUBMIT PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THIS DOOR FOR REVIEW AS
 REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 5) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R806.1 VENTILATION REQUIRED OR
 R806.5 UNVENTED ATTIC AND UNVENTED ENCLOSED RAFTER
 ASSEMBLIES.
 FBC R806.1 ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACES
 FORMED WHERE CEILINGS ARE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE
 UNDERSIDE OF ROOF RAFTERS SHALL HAVE CROSS VENTILATION
 FOR EACH SEPARATE SPACE BY VENTILATING OPENINGS
 PROTECTED AGAINST THE ENTRANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW.
 VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A LEAST DIMENSION OF
 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM)
 MAXIMUM. VENTILATION OPENINGS HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION
 LARGER THAN 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH
 CORROSION-RESISTANT WIRE CLOTH SCREENING, HARDWARE
 CLOTH, OR SIMILAR MATERIAL WITH OPENINGS HAVING A LEAST
 DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM AND 1/4 INCH
 (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. OPENINGS IN ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS
 SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION R802.1.8.
 REQUIRED VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL OPEN DIRECTLY TO
 THE OUTSIDE AIR.
  
 6) THE ENERGY COMPLIANCE FORM R405-2014 THAT WAS
 SUBMITTED CONTAINS ERRORS AND OMISSIONS. THIS IS NOT A
 MODEL THAT WILL BE WITH DIFFERENT ORIENTATIONS. THIS IS
 A ONE OF A KIND STRUCTURE AND IT IS SITE SPECIFIC.
 THEREFORE, YOU CAN NOT USE THE WORST CASE ORIENTATION
 ON THE FORM. USE THE ACTUAL ORIENTATION OF THE BUILDING
 FOR ENERGY AND EQUIPMENT SIZING CALCULATIONS. THERE
 WILL BE NO ROTATE ANGLE. THERE IS NO KITCHEN ( NOT
 ALLOWED BY ZONING REGULATIONS ). THE PLANS ARE NOT
 CLEAR IF THE ATTIC WILL BE VENTED OR NOT. FBC 107.2.1
  
 7) THE DOWNSPOUTS ARE REQUIRED TO DISCHARGE AT LEAST 1
 FOOT AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE SIDEWALL. R318.5
 PROTECTION AGAINST DECAY AND TERMITES.
  
 8) THE AREA TABULATION ON SHEET 01 IS INCORRECT. THE
 EXISTING AREA IS 348 SQFT, THE ADDITION IS 112 SQFT AND
 THE TOTAL IS 460 SQFT. FBC 107.2.1
  
 9) THE 4" RECESS IN THE SLAB FOR THE SHOWER INDICATED
 ON SHEET 01 IS NOT SHOWN ON THE FOUNDATION PLAN. FBC
 107.2.1
  
 10) THE PRODUCT APPROVAL THAT WAS SUBMITTED FOR THE
 FRENCH DOORS HAS A NEGATIVE DESIGN PRESSURE THAT IS NOT
 ADEQUATE. THE PLANS REQUIRE +37.8, - 50.6 PSF AND THE
 PRODUCT IS RATED FOR +45, -45 PSF. FBC-R 301.2.1
  
 11) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE
 ROOFING MATERIAL THAT WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE FLAT
 ROOF.
  
 12) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT
 A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW
