 DENIED BY BUILDING
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) ON SEVERAL OF THE PLAN SHEETS THE ARCHITECT'S SEAL
 IS MISSING THE NAME AND/OR THE LICENSE NUMBER. THE
 FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE REQUIRES THIS INFORMATION
 TO BE ON THE SEAL. FAC 61G1-16.002
  
 2) THE CODE STANDARDS REFERENCED ON SHEET A-01, NEED TO
 BE UPDATED TO THE ONES THAT ARE REFERENCED IN THE 2014
 FBC-R AS FOLLOWS, 2011 NEC, 2014 FLORIDA FIRE
 PREVENTION CODE AND 2012 NFPA 101.
  
 3) SUBMIT TWO SETS OF ENERGY COMPLIANCE FORMS FOR THE
 NEW ADDITION. R103.1.1.2 CODE COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATION.
 THE BUILDING'S OWNER, THE OWNER'S ARCHITECT, OR OTHER
 AUTHORIZED AGENT LEGALLY DESIGNATED BY THE OWNER SHALL
 CERTIFY THAT THE BUILDING IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 CODE, AS PER SECTION 553.907, FLORIDA STATUTES, PRIOR
 TO RECEIVING THE PERMIT TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION OR
 RENOVATION.
  
 4) SHOW THAT THE EXTERIOR STUCCO WALL COMPLIES WITH
 FBC-R703.6.3 WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIERS.
 WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIERS SHALL BE INSTALLED AS REQUIRED
 IN SECTION R703.2 AND, WHERE APPLIED OVER WOOD-BASED
 SHEATHING, SHALL INCLUDE A WATER-RESISTIVE
 VAPOR-PERMEABLE BARRIER WITH A PERFORMANCE AT LEAST
 EQUIVALENT TO TWO LAYERS OF GRADE D PAPER. THE
 INDIVIDUAL LAYERS SHALL BE INSTALLED INDEPENDENTLY SUCH
 THAT EACH LAYER PROVIDES A SEPARATE CONTINUOUS PLANE
 AND ANY FLASHING (INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 R703.8) INTENDED TO DRAIN TO THE WATER-RESISTIVE
 BARRIER IS DIRECTED BETWEEN THE LAYERS.
 EXCEPTION: WHERE THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER THAT IS
 APPLIED OVER WOOD-BASED SHEATHING HAS A WATER
 RESISTANCE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN THAT OF 60-MINUTE
 GRADE D PAPER AND IS SEPARATED FROM THE STUCCO BY AN
 INTERVENING, SUBSTANTIALLY NON-WATER-ABSORBING LAYER OR
 DESIGNED DRAINAGE SPACE.
  
 5) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE TPO
 ROOFING MATERIAL AND THE JELD-WEN OUTSWING EXTERIOR
 DOOR.
 NOTE: A FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL COVERSHEET FOR FL
 239-R24 FOR A PGT SINGLE HUNG WINDOW WAS SUBMITTED WITH
 NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS OR DESIGN PRESSURES.
 ANOTHER WINDOW PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR FL15497-R2 WAS
 SUBMITTED FOR AN ANDERSEN DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW WITH ALL
 THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
  
 6) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R806.1 VENTILATION REQUIRED.
 ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACES FORMED WHERE
 CEILINGS ARE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF ROOF
 RAFTERS SHALL HAVE CROSS VENTILATION FOR EACH SEPARATE
 SPACE BY VENTILATING OPENINGS PROTECTED AGAINST THE
 ENTRANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW. VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL
 HAVE A LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM
 AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. VENTILATION OPENINGS
 HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION LARGER THAN 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM)
 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH CORROSION-RESISTANT WIRE CLOTH
 SCREENING, HARDWARE CLOTH, OR SIMILAR MATERIAL WITH
 OPENINGS HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM)
 MINIMUM AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. OPENINGS IN ROOF
 FRAMING MEMBERS SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 SECTION R802.1.8. REQUIRED VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL
 OPEN DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE AIR.
 ALTERNATELY, SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R806.5 UNVENTED ATTIC
 AND UNVENTED ENCLOSED RAFTER ASSEMBLIES. UNVENTED ATTIC
 ASSEMBLIES (SPACES BETWEEN THE CEILING JOISTS OF THE
 TOP STORY AND THE ROOF RAFTERS) AND UNVENTED ENCLOSED
 RAFTER ASSEMBLIES (SPACES BETWEEN CEILINGS THAT ARE
 APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF ROOF FRAMING
 MEMBERS/RAFTERS AND THE STRUCTURAL ROOF SHEATHING AT
 THE TOP OF THE ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS/RAFTERS) SHALL BE
 PERMITTED IF ALL THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:
 1. THE UNVENTED ATTIC SPACE IS COMPLETELY CONTAINED
 WITHIN THE BUILDING THERMAL ENVELOPE.
  
 2. NO INTERIOR CLASS I VAPOR RETARDERS ARE INSTALLED ON
 THE CEILING SIDE (ATTIC FLOOR) OF THE UNVENTED ATTIC
 ASSEMBLY OR ON THE CEILING SIDE OF THE UNVENTED
 ENCLOSED RAFTER ASSEMBLY.
  
 3. WHERE WOOD SHINGLES OR SHAKES ARE USED, A MINIMUM
 1/4- INCH (6 MM) VENTED AIR SPACE SEPARATES THE
 SHINGLES OR SHAKES AND THE ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT ABOVE
 THE STRUCTURAL SHEATHING.
  
 4. IN CLIMATE ZONES 5, 6, 7 AND 8 OF TABLE R301.1 OF
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, ENERGY CONSERVATION, ANY
 AIRIMPERMEABLE INSULATION SHALL BE A CLASS II VAPOR
 RETARDER, OR SHALL HAVE A CLASS III VAPOR RETARDER
 COATING OR COVERING IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE
 UNDERSIDE OF THE INSULATION.
  
 5. EITHER ITEMS 5.1, 5.2 OR 5.3 SHALL BE MET, DEPENDING
 ON THE AIR PERMEABILITY OF THE INSULATION DIRECTLY
 UNDER THE STRUCTURAL ROOF SHEATHING.
  
 5.1. AIR-IMPERMEABLE INSULATION ONLY. INSULATION SHALL
 BE APPLIED IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE
 STRUCTURAL ROOF SHEATHING.
  
 5.2. AIR-PERMEABLE INSULATION ONLY. IN ADDITION TO THE
 AIR-PERMEABLE INSULATION INSTALLED DIRECTLY BELOW THE
 STRUCTURAL SHEATHING, RIGID BOARD OR SHEET INSULATION
 SHALL BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY ABOVE THE STRUCTURAL ROOF
 SHEATHING AS SPECIFIED IN TABLE R806.5 FOR CONDENSATION
 CONTROL.
  
 5.3. AIR-IMPERMEABLE AND AIR-PERMEABLE INSULATION. THE
 AIR-IMPERMEABLE INSULATION SHALL BE APPLIED IN DIRECT
 CONTACT WITH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE STRUCTURAL ROOF
 SHEATHING AS SPECIFIED IN TABLE R806.5 FOR CONDENSATION
 CONTROL. THE AIR-PERMEABLE INSULATION SHALL BE
 INSTALLED DIRECTLY UNDER THE AIR-IMPERMEABLE
 INSULATION.
  
 5.4. WHERE PREFORMED INSULATION BOARD IS USED AS THE
 AIR-IMPERMEABLE INSULATION LAYER, IT SHALL BE SEALED AT
 THE PERIMETER OF EACH INDIVIDUAL SHEET INTERIOR SURFACE
 TO FORM A CONTINUOUS LAYER.
  
 7) THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING PRESSURES FOR THE ROOF
 AND WALL AREAS SPECIFIED ON S-1.1 ARE FOR 170 MPH AND A
 MEAN ROOF HEIGHT OF 15 FEET OR LESS. THE ADDITON HAS A
 MEAN ROOF HEIGHT OF ABOUT 20 FEET ABOVE GRADE. FOR THE
 PURPOSE OF DETERMINING COMPONENT AND CLADDING PRESSURES
 IT IS REQUIRED TO USE THE VASD WIND SPEED WHICH IS 132
 MPH FOR WEST PALM BEACH. THIS CAN BE ACHIEVED BY
 MULTIPLYING THE 170MPH VULT POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE
 DESIGN PRESSURES BY .6. HOWEVER, THE PRESSURES YOU
 SPECIFIED WILL HAVE TO BE ADJUSTED FOR A 20 FOOT MEAN
 ROOF HEIGHT FIRST.
  
 8) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT A
 RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW
 COMMENTS HAS BEEN ADDRESSED.
