 ENCLOSING THE PORCH CONVERTS IT TO HABITABLE SPACE AND
 NO LONGER A PORCH, THEREFORE OUTLET AND LIGHTING PER
 CODE ARE REQUIRED.
 1. NEC 210.52(A) STATES THAT THERE CAN BE NO MORE THAN
 6 LINEAR FEET ALONG THE WALL BETWEEN OUTLETS.
 2. NEC 210.52(E) REQUIRES THAT THERE ALSO BE AN OUTLET
 ON THE EXTERIOR AT THE FRONT OF THE HOME.
 3. NEC 210.8 REQUIRES THAT THE EXTERIOR OUTLET BE GFCI
 PROTECTED.
 4. NEC 210.12 REQUIRES THAT THESE CIRCUITS HAVE
 ARC-FAULT PROTECTION.
 5. NEC 406.12 REQUIRES THAT RECEPTACLES IN A DWELLING
 BE TAMPER-RESISTANT.
 6. THE PLANS SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE LIGHTING
 REQUIREMENTS OF NEC 210.70, BUT IN THE INTEREST OF
 ENERGY CONSERVATION, LIFE SAFETY AND CONSUMER
 CONVENIENCE, LET ME SUGGEST THAT THE LIGHTING IN THE
 ROOM BE CONTROLLED WITH A 3 WAY SWITCH.
 7. PER FBC-R314.3 YOU SHALL COME INTO COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE SMOKE DETECTOR REQUIREMENTS, AND IF THE UNIT HAS
 FOSSIL FUEL BURNING APPLIANCES OR AN ATTACHED GARAGE,
 YOU SHALL COMPLY WITH FBC-R315, CARBON MONOXIDE
 DETECTION.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, FOR A QUICKER RETURN ON YOUR
 RE-SUBMITTAL, PLEASE PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER
 (NARRATIVE) ADDRESSING EACH ITEM AND THE PAGE NUMBER
 WHERE THE CORRECTIONS APPEAR ALONG WITH THE STANDARD
 CITY RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE INSERT
 CORRECTED PAGES INTO THE SUBMITTAL PACKAGE. MARK VOID
 AND LEAVE THE PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS FOR
 COMPARATIVE REVIEW. CLOUDING THE CHANGES WILL BE
 GREATLY APPRECIATED.
