 ADDITION. AN ADDITION SHALL NOT CREATE OR EXTEND ANY
 NONCONFORMITY IN THE EXISTING BUILDING TO WHICH THE
 ADDITION IS BEING MADE WITH REGARD TO ACCESSIBILITY,
 STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, FIRE SAFETY, MEANS OF EGRESS, OR
 THE CAPACITY OF MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, OR ELECTRICAL
 SYSTEMS. 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. THE NORTH WALL OF
 THE EXISTING 2 STORY IS LESS THAN 3 FEET FROM THE
 PROPERTY LINE WALL. THE 2014 FBC-B TABLE 705.8 MAXIMUM
 AREA OF EXTERIOR WALL OPENINGS BASED ON FIRE SEPARATION
 DISTANCE AND DEGREE OF OPENING PROTECTION. 0-3 FEET
 THERE ARE NO OPENINGS ALLOWED.
  
 2014 FBC-B 706.6.1 STEPPED BUILDINGS. WHERE A FIRE WALL
 SERVES AS AN EXTERIOR WALL FOR A BUILDING AND SEPARATES
 BUILDINGS HAVING DIFFERENT ROOF LEVELS, SUCH WALL SHALL
 TERMINATE AT A POINT NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES ABOVE THE
 LOWER ROOF LEVEL, PROVIDED THE EXTERIOR WALL FOR A
 HEIGHT OF 15 FEET ABOVE THE LOWER ROOF IS NOT LESS THAN
 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED CONSTRUCTION FROM BOTH
 SIDES WITH OPENINGS PROTECTED BY FIRE ASSEMBLIES HAVING
 A FIRE PROTECTION RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 3/4 HOUR.
  
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD MAY CLOSE THESE OPENINGS IN WITH
 1 HOUR FIRE RATED CONSTRUCTION AS PER TABLE 602 OF THE
 FBC-B, INSTALL 3/4 HOUR FIRE RATED GLASS BLOCK, OR A 1
 HOUR FIRE SHUTTER ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE WALL.

 ON THE PLANS A 2 HOUR RATED CEILING ASSEMBLY BUT THERE
 IS NO GYPSUM ASSOCIATION, OR UL LISTED ASSEMBLY IN THE
 PLANS FOR THE RATING OF THE CEILING FOR EITHER 1 OR 2
 HOUR. THE CODE ONLY REQUIRES THE CEILING UNDER THE
 STAIR TO BE 1 HOUR, THE DESIGNER CAN DESIGN TO THE MORE
 STRINGENT 2 HOUR FIRE REQUIREMENT.

 ENCLOSED STAIRWELL A CLOSET. THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE
 HOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 1009.9.3 WILL BE OBTAINED.
 2014 FBC-B 1009.9.3 ENCLOSURES UNDER INTERIOR
 STAIRWAYS.
 THE WALLS AND SOFFITS WITHIN ENCLOSED USABLE SPACES
 UNDER ENCLOSED AND UNENCLOSED STAIRWAYS SHALL BE
 PROTECTED BY 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED CONSTRUCTION
 OR THE FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE STAIRWAY

 EXTERIOR WALL AND WINDOW, PLEASE PROVIDE SILL HEIGHT
 AND COMPLIANCE WITH: FBC-B 2406.4.5 GLAZING AND WET
 SURFACES. GLAZING IN WALLS, ENCLOSURES OR, BATHTUBS,
 SHOWERS WHERE THE BOTTOM EXPOSED EDGE OF THE GLAZING IS
 LESS THAN 60 INCHES MEASURED VERTICALLY ABOVE ANY
 STANDING OR WALKING SURFACE SHALL BE CONSIDERED A
 HAZARDOUS LOCATION. THIS SHALL APPLY TO SINGLE GLAZING

 OF PARAPET IS 24-9. PLEASE PROVIDE WHERE THE WINDOW,
 DOOR AND ROOF PRESSURES CAN BE FOUND FOR ZONES 1,2,3,4
 & 5. PLEASE PROVIDE THEM IN VASD SINCE THE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS ARE IN VASD.
