 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1A) THE PLANS INDICATE THERE IS TO BE AN ADULT DAY CARE
 CENTER. NONE OF THE ROOMS INDICATED ON THIS SHEET
 INDICATE WHICH ROOM IS GOING TO BE USED FOR THE
 DAYCARE. PLEASE NOTE THE MAIN ACTIVITY AREA INDICATES
 2077 SQ. FT. WHEN THIS ROOM IS USED AS A MULT-PURPOSE
 ROOM AND 15 SQ. FT./ OCCUPANT THE 139.
 DOORS D107 & D111 BOTH SWING AGAINST THE MEANS OF
 EGRESS. 2014 FBC-B 1008.1.2. DOORS SHALL SWING IN THE
 DIRECTION OF EGRESS TRAVEL WHERE SERVING A ROOM OR AREA
 CONTAINING AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 50 OR MORE PERSONS.
  
 1B) 2014 FBC-B 463.1. ADULT DAY CARE FACILITIES SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
 STANDARDS. AGENCY FOR HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION (AHCA)
 RULE 58A-6, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND CHAPTER
 400, PART V, FLORIDA STATUTES. PLEASE PROVIDE PLANS
 STAMPED BY THE STATE AGENCY FOR APPROVAL.
  
 1B) AREAS THAT ARE IN QUESTION IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE
 PART OF THE ADULT DAY CARE CENTER ARE THE FIRST AID
 STATION AND THE YOUTH ACTIVITY ROOM. FBC-B 463.5.4 A
 PRIVATE AREA SHALL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE PROVISION OF
 FIRST AID, SPECIAL CARE AND COUNSELING SERVICES WHEN
 PROVIDED, OR AS NECESSARY FOR OTHER SERVICES REQUIRED
 BY PARTICIPANTS. THIS AREA SHALL BE APPROPRIATELY
 FURNISHED AND EQUIPPED.
 466.7 DETECTION AND ALARM SYSTEMS. DAY CARE OCCUPANCIES
 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 907 AND THIS SECTION.
  
 1C) THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE IF THE BUILDING IS FIRE
 SPRINKLERED OR NOT?
  
 2) FBC-B 466.3 BATHROOM DOORS. EVERY BATHROOM DOOR LOCK
 SHALL BE DESIGNED TO PERMIT OPENING OF THE LOCKED DOOR
 FROM THE OUTSIDE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE OPENING DEVICE
 SHALL BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE STAFF.
  
 3) FBC-B 466.6 PROTECTION FROM HAZARDS. ROOMS OR SPACES
 FOR THE STORAGE, PROCESSING OR USE OF MATERIALS
 SPECIFIED BELOW SHALL BE PROTECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE FOLLOWING.
  
 466.6.1
 THE FOLLOWING ROOMS OR SPACES SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 THE REMAINDER OF THE BUILDING BY FIRE BARRIERS HAVING A
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR OR SHALL
 BE PROTECTED BY AN APPROVED AUTOMATIC EXTINGUISHING
 SYSTEM.
  
 ROOMS OR SPACES USED FOR THE STORAGE OF COMBUSTIBLE
 SUPPLIES IN QUANTITIES DEEMED HAZARDOUS BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
  
 JANITOR CLOSETS. EXCEPTION: DOORS TO JANITOR CLOSETS
 SHALL BE PERMITTED TO HAVE VENTILATING LOUVERS WHERE
 THE SPACE IS PROTECTED BY AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS.
  
 4) FBC-B 466.8 CORRIDORS. EVERY INTERIOR CORRIDOR SHALL
 BE CONSTRUCTED OF WALLS HAVING NOT LESS THAN A 1-HOUR
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING.
  
 EXCEPTIONS:
  
 1. IN BUILDINGS PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY AN APPROVED,
 SUPERVISED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTIONS 901.6 AND 903.3.1.1, CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL
 NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE RATED, PROVIDED THAT SUCH WALLS
 FORM SMOKE PARTITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 710.
  
 2. WHERE THE CORRIDOR CEILING IS AN ASSEMBLY HAVING
 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING WHERE TESTED AS A WALL,
 THE CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL BE PERMITTED TO TERMINATE AT
 THE CORRIDOR CEILING.
  
 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
