 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) PLEASE NOTE THE SHELL BUILDING IS NOT COMPLETE. A
 LETTER FROM THE QUALIFIER OF BOTH THE SHELL CONTRACTOR
 (LM DEVELOPMENT GROUP) AND TENANT BUILD-OUT CONTRACTOR
 MUST BE PROVIDED BEFORE TENANT BUILD-OUT PERMIT CAN BE
 ISSUED, IF THE TENANT BUILD-OUT CONTRACTOR WISHES TO
 START WORK BEFORE THE SHELL WORK HAS RECEIVED A
 CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION, AGREEING THEY WILL WORK
 TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE CODE COMPLIANCE. THESE DOCUMENTS
 WILL NEED TO BE SIGNED BY THE QUALIFIER. PLEASE PROVIDE
 THE PERMIT NUMBER, ADDRESS WITHIN THE DOCUMENT.
  
 2) THE COVERSHEET CS-1 INDICATES THE TENANT BUILD OUT
 PLANS ARE DESIGNED TO THE 2010 FBC-B. JUNE 30/ 2015 THE
 FIFTH EDITION OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE WAS ADOPTED
 STATEWIDE. PLEASE UPDATE THE PLANS TO THE CURRENT CODE.
  
 3) PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE DESIGN CONCEPTS WITHIN THE
 TENANT BUILD OUT PLANS THAT VARIES FROM THE SHELL
 PERMIT. ON THE M-1 SHEET DETAILS 2 & 4 BOTH INDICATE A
 CONCRETE TYPE ROOF DECK. THE SHELL PERMITED SET OF
 PLANS SHOWS A BAR JOIST SYSTEM, 1 1/2 INCH 22 GAGE G90
 "B" TYPE DECK ON SHEET S-2. ON THE A5 SHEET
 THE PLANS CALL OUT IN DETAILS 6 & 7 FOR R-19 RIGID
 INSULATION AND A TPO 60 MIL ROOFING SYSTEM. IN THE
 TENANT BUILD-OUT ENERGY INPUT DATA REPORT THE ROOF
 INDICATES A R-30 VALUE FOR THE INSULATION BOARD. THESE
 DISCREPANCIES WILL NEED TO BE WORKED OUT BETWEEN THE
 TWO DESIGN TEAMS BEFORE PERMIT ISSUANCE CAN OCCUR ON
 THE TENANT BUILD OUT. DISCREPANCY IN PLANS. 107.2.1.3.
  
 4A) SHEET M-1 DETAIL # 2 FOR ROOF TOP A/C STAND PLEASE
 PROVIDE A PRODUCT APPROVAL. FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
 COMMUNITY AFFAIRS RULE 9N-3 NOV. 01/ 2010 (31)
 SUB-CATEGORY OF PRODUCTS OR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS THAT
 WILL REQUIRE PRODUCT APPROVALS:
 (31) (D) RROOFING PRODUCTS, ROOF CURBS AND ROOF TOP
 FANS, INTAKE AND EXHAUST.
 (G) PRE-ENGINEERED A/C STANDS
  
 4B) SHEET M-1 DETAIL # 4 SHOWS A EXHAUST FAN AND CURB.
 A PRODUCT APPROVAL WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED FOR ALL ROOF
 TOP EXHAUST FANS.
  
 4C) NOTE, TO DATE THE SHELL CONTRACTOR HAS REQUESTED
 ALL OF THE PRODUCT APPROVALS TO BE DEFERRED UNTIL AFTER
 PERMIT ISSUANCE. WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY ROOF TOP CURBS
 FOR THE ROOF TOP A/C DOWN UNIT, NOR FASTENING OF THE
 CURB TO THE ROOF. 107.2.1.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION THAT
 MAY VERY FROM WHAT YOU HAVE DESIGN FOR. THE SHELL
 BUILDING PERMIT IS JUST THAT A SHELL BUILDING NO A/C
 EQUIPMENT.
  
 4D) 107.3.4.1 THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA
 RULE 9N-3 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR
 JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 5) SHEET A-1 PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2014
 FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY :
  
 5A) 226.1 GENERAL. WHERE DINING SURFACES ARE PROVIDED
 FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF FOOD OR DRINK, AT LEAST 5
 PERCENT OF THE SEATING SPACES AND STANDING SPACES AT
 THE DINING SURFACES SHALL COMPLY WITH 902. IN ADDITION,
 WHERE WORK SURFACES ARE PROVIDED FOR USE BY OTHER THAN
 EMPLOYEES, AT LEAST 5 PERCENT SHALL COMPLY WITH 902.
  
 5B) 226.2 DISPERSION.
 DINING SURFACES AND WORK SURFACES REQUIRED TO COMPLY
 WITH 902 SHALL BE DISPERSED THROUGHOUT THE SPACE OR
 FACILITY CONTAINING DINING SURFACES AND WORK SURFACES.
  
 5C) 227 SALES AND SERVICE 227.1 GENERAL. WHERE
 PROVIDED, CHECK-OUT AISLES, SALES COUNTERS, SERVICE
 COUNTERS, FOOD SERVICE LINES, QUEUES, AND WAITING LINES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 227 AND 904.
  
 5D) 902.4.2 HEIGHT. THE TOPS OF TABLES AND COUNTERS
 SHALL BE 26 INCHES (660 MM) MINIMUM AND 30 INCHES (760
