 COMMENTS.
 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 1- A) PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R101.4.3 OF FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION
 (2014).
 NOTE: ENERGY CALCULATIONS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED IF THE
 HOUSE IS A TRUE CONTRIBUTING HISTORIC HOUSE. I AM
 WAITING FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLANNER RESPONSE
 REGARDING THE HISTORIC CONTRIBUTION OF THE HOUSE.
  
 11/9/15 RECEIVED CONFIRMATION FROM THE HISTORIC
 PRESERVATION PLANNER: THIS IS NOT A CONTRIBUTING
 HISTORIC HOUSE.
  
 B) PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION ON PLANS AND ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R103.2 OF FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014). SPECIFY INSULATION ON
 WALLS, CEILINGS, ETC.
  
 2- THE PROPOSED USE OF THE GARAGE IS NOT CLEAR.
 ACCORDING TO THE PLANS SUBMITTED THE GARAGE USE IS NOT
 LONGER AS A GARAGE BUT AS HABITABLE SPACE. THE SPACE IS
 GOING TO BE AIR CONDITIONED AND LOOKS MORE LIKE AN
 ENTERTAINMENT ROOM THAN A GARAGE. ALSO, THE SPACE IS
 NOT FUNCTIONAL AS A GARAGE BECAUSE THE GARAGE DOOR IS
 PROPOSED TO BE INOPERABLE. PLAN REVIEW CAN NOT BE
 PROPERLY DONE IF THE PROPOSED PLANS DON'T MATCH THE
 PROPOSED USE. IF THE INTENTION IS TO HAVE AN
 ENTERTAINMENT ROOM, THEN CLEARLY IDENTIFY ROOM AS SO.
 SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 IF THE ROOM STAYS AS GARAGE, THEN IT NEEDS TO CLEARLY
 SHOW USE AS A GARAGE. NOTE: THE A/C WOULDN'T COMPLY
 BECAUSE RETURN AIR CAN'T BE TAKEN FROM THE GARAGE.
 ALSO, TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT ENERGY CALCULATIONS MAY
 NOT PASS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF GLAZING IN THE GARAGE
 AND THE INFILTRATION THRU THE GARAGE DOOR.
  
 3- SHEET A-1: STRUCTURAL NOTES REFERENCE THE 2010 CODE
 AND SEC. 1609. THE CURRENT CODE IS THE FBC-RESIDENTIAL,
 5TH EDITION (2014) AND THE CORRECT SEC. IS R301. REVISE
 AS REQUIRED . SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 4- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED FAC
 61G20-3.002(33) FOR:
 A) FRENCH DOOR TRANSOM MULLION AS SHOWN ON PLANS. AND,
 CLEARLY IDENTIFY MULLION SIZE TO VERIFY THE DESIGN
 PRESSURES. SEC. R301 OF FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION
 (2014).
