 1) PROVIDE AN AIR VELOCITY CALCULATION. REFER TO
 SECTION 506.3.4 FBC-14 MECHANICAL: AIR VELOCITY.
 GREASE DUCT SYSTEMS SERVING A TYPE I HOOD SHALL BE
 DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO PROVIDE AN AIR VELOCITY
 WITHIN THE DUCT SYSTEM OF NOT LESS THAN 500 FEET PER
 MINUTE (2.5 M/S).
 2) REFER TO SECTION 508.1.1 MAKEUP AIR TEMPERATURE.
 THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL BETWEEN MAKEUP AIR AND THE
 AIR IN THE CONDITIONED SPACE SHALL NOT EXCEED 10
 DEGREES F (6 DEGREES C) EXCEPT WHERE THE ADDED HEATING
 AND COOLING LOADS OF THE MAKEUP AIR DO NOT EXCEED THE
 CAPACITY OF THE HVAC SYSTEM- CLARIFY HOW THE SYSTEM
 SHOWN ON THE PLAN IS MEETING COMPLIANCE.
 3) SHEET M-4, DETAIL 3/M-4: REFERENCE IS MADE TO CURB
 MOUNTING DETAIL 10/M-2 WHICH DOES NOT EXIST. PROVIDE
 THE WIND LOAD DESIGN CRITERIA AND ENGINEERED DETAILS
 FOR INSTALLATION OF THE ROOFTOP FANS AND FAN CURBS-
 SECTION 301.15 FBC-14 MECHANICAL. SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF
 FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVALS OR MIAMI-DADE NOA'S FOR THE
 FANS.
 4) SHEET M-4, DETAIL 22/M-4: INDICATE COMPLIANCE WITH
 SECTION 507.9 EXCEPTION (STAINLESS STEEL HOOD BACKING
 SHALL EXTEND NOT LESS THAN 18 INCHES IN ALL DIRECTIONS
 FROM THE HOOD).
 5) A VERY LOW $4500.00 VALUE FOR THE PROPOSED PROJECT
 IS SHOWN ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION. PLEASE REVIEW
 SECTION109.3 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FBC-14
 BUILDING CODE, AND ADJUST THE VALUE ACCORDINGLY.
 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATIONS. IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF BUILDING,
 ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS, MECHANICAL OR
 PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE
 UNDERESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE
 DENIED, UNLESS THE APPLICANT CAN SHOW
 DETAILED, QUANTITY ESTIMATES, AND/OR BONA FIDE SIGNED
 CONTRACTS (EXCLUDING LAND VALUE) TO MEET THE
 APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL
 BE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING
 ONLY LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE
 LATEST PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION
 COST ANALYSIS SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.),
 AS PUBLISHED BY INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS.
 FINAL BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL.
