 THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 1012.2 AND 1012.3 FOR FIRE
 PROTECTION AND INTERIOR FINISH, RESPECTIVELY, SHALL
 APPLY TO ALL BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY

 1012.2 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS.
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTIONS 1012.2.1 AND 1012.2.2.
  
 1012.2.1 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM.
 WHERE A CHANGE IN OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION OCCURS THAT
 REQUIRES AN AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM TO BE
 PROVIDED BASED ON THE NEW OCCUPANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 CHAPTER 9 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING, SUCH
 SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE AREA WHERE THE
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY OCCURS.
  
 1012.2.2 FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SYSTEM.
 WHERE A CHANGE IN OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION OCCURS THAT
 REQUIRES A FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SYSTEM TO BE
 PROVIDED BASED ON THE NEW OCCUPANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 CHAPTER 9 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING, SUCH
 SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE AREA WHERE THE
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY OCCURS. EXISTING ALARM NOTIFICATION
 APPLIANCES SHALL BE AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED THROUGHOUT
 THE BUILDING. WHERE THE BUILDING IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, ALARM NOTIFICATION APPLIANCES SHALL
 BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE AREA WHERE THE CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY OCCURS AND SHALL BE AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED.
  
  
 2A) SHEET A1 VERSES THE SHEET M1. THE MEZZANINE
 STAIRWELL MID LEVEL APPEARS TO HAVE MECHANICAL
 EQUIPMENT. PLEASE PROVIDE CODE COMPLIANCE OF 1 HOUR
 1009.9.3 ENCLOSURES UNDER INTERIOR STAIRWAYS. THE WALLS
 AND SOFFITS WITHIN ENCLOSED USABLE SPACES UNDER
 ENCLOSED AND UNENCLOSED STAIRWAYS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED CONSTRUCTION OR THE
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE STAIRWAY ENCLOSURE,
 WHICHEVER IS GREATER. ACCESS TO THE ENCLOSED SPACE
 SHALL NOT BE DIRECTLY FROM WITHIN THE STAIR ENCLOSURE.
  
 2B) SHEET A1 VERSES THE SHEET M1. THE MEZZANINE
 STAIRWELL MID LEVEL APPEARS TO HAVE MECHANICAL
 EQUIPMENT.THE PLANS ARE NOT CLEAR AS TO THE EAST WALL
 MID LANDING WHERE THE MECHANICAL SHEETS SHOW VERTICAL
 A/C DUCTS. IS THIS A WALL SEPERATING THE MECHANICAL
 DUCTWORK FROM THE STIRWELL? 107.2.1.3 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
