 CHECKLIST.
 CODE: FBC-5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 1- PLANS WERE REVISED AND NEW CASEMENT WINDOW WAS
 SPECIFIED ON PLANS FOR THE NEW BEDROOM. THE CASEMENT
 WINDOW COMPLIES WITH EGRESS. NEED TO PROVIDE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL (2 COPIES) FOR THE CASEMENT WINDOW AS REQUIRED
 BY FAC 61G20-3.002(3).
 RESPONSE: PRODUCT APPROVAL NOA NO 15-0728.05 SUBMITTED
 IS FOR "HORIZONTAL ROLLING WINDOW". ENGINEER DRAWING
 A-2 SPECIFIES 37.5" X 50.625" CASEMENT WINDOW. THE
 CASEMENT WINDOW SIZE SPECIFIED ON PLANS COMPLIES WITH
 THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS. THE HORIZONTAL ROLLING WINDOW
 DOESN'T COMPLY. ENGINEER OF RECORD APPROVED NOA
 SUBMITTED AND IT DOESN'T COMPLY.
  
 2- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 NEW TENANT SEPARATION WALL THAT MATCHES PROPOSED FLOOR
 PLAN. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. 420.2 FBC. 5TH EDITION.
 RESPONSE:
 A) TENANT SEPARATION WALL SUBMITTED IS "BEARING 1 HOUR
 FIRE RATED WALL U.L. DESIGN NO U305". CLARIFY WHY THERE
 IS ONLY ONE 2X4 TOP PLATE?. ALSO, WOOD FRAMED WALL
 SUPPORTING CONCRETE SLAB NEED TO PROVIDE COMPLIANCE
 WITH SEC. 2304.12 OF FBC FOR LONG TERM LOADING.
 ENGINEER OF RECORD TO PROVIDE COMPLIANCE.
  
 B) PROVIDE UL COPY OF COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 U.L. NO U305 ASSEMBLY SHOWING 1" GAP BETWEEN STUD AND
 TOP RUNNER AS SHOWN ON WALL DETAIL SUBMITTED. . SHOW
 GYPSUM BOARD FASTENING. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 3- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING
 HOW THE EXTERIOR WALL DOOR OPENING IS GOING TO BE
 CLOSED. SEC. 1609 FBC.
 RESPONSE: DETAIL C/2 SUBMITTED IS NOT CLEAR. ENGINEER
 NEEDS TO BE SPECIFIC WITH WHAT KIND OF 12" METAL STRAP
 IS GOING TO BE USED. "12" METAL STRAP IS VERY GENERIC.
 THERE ARE MANY TYPES AND MANUFACTURERS FOR 12" METAL
 STRAPS. ALSO, PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAIL SHOWING HOW IS
 THE 12" STRAP ATTACHED TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM PLATES.
 SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE: INSPECTIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO VERIFY EXISTING
 TENANT SEPARATION WALLS, CEILINGS AND FLOORS. AND,
 EXTERIOR WALLS.
  
 4- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR THE NEW
 BEDROOM AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 1204 FBC.
 RESPONSE: SIZE OF HEATING AND COOLING WALL UNIT SHOWN
 ON PLANS IS OVERSIZED FOR THE NEW BEDROOM. 8,000 BTU
 UNIT IS OVERSIZED FOR A ROOM WITH LESS THAN 100S.F .
 PROVIDE EQUIPMENT SIZING CALCULATIONS. SEC. C403.2.1 OF
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014). EQUIPMENT
 CAN NOT EXCEED THE CALCULATED LOADS. SEC. C403.2.2 OF
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 NOTE:
 ENGINEER OF RECORD TO PAY FOUR TIMES THE PLAN REVIEW
 FEE AS REQUIRED BY FLORIDA STATUTE 553.80(2)(B) FOR
 PLANS REJECTED MORE THAN 3 TIMES.
 PLANS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF ENGINEERS FOR
 REVIEW.
