 RESPONSE COMMENT - AT MINIMUM SHOW EXISTING EMERGENCY
 LIGHT FIXTURE LOCATIONS; HOWEVER, FLOOR PLAN AND WALLS
 APPEAR TO HAVE CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY THAT THE DEVICE
 LOCATIONS AND/OR QUANTITIES MAY BE DEFICIENT.
 ORIGINAL COMMENT - SHEET E3.0: COULD NOT LOCATE
 EMERGENCY LIGHTING IN RETAIL FLOOR #100. EMERGENCY
 ILLUMINATION SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR A MINIMUM OF 1.5
 HOURS IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF NORMAL LIGHTING.
 EMERGENCY LIGHTING FACILITIES SHALL BE ARRANGED TO
 PROVIDE INITIAL ILLUMINATION THAT IS NOT LESS THAN AN
 AVERAGE OF 1 FT-CANDLE AND, AT ANY POINT, NOT LESS THAN
 0.1 FT-CANDLE, MEASURED ALONG THE PATH OF EGRESS AT
 FLOOR LEVEL.

 ORIGINAL COMMENT - FIRE ALARM: NO ENGINEERED FIRE ALARM
 DRAWINGS SUBMITTED. PER FBC SECTION 907.1.1
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS - "CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO
 INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK
 PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE
 PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE, THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION
 CODE, AND RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND
 REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL."
 ENGINEERED FIRE ALARM DRAWINGS ARE REQUIRED FOR A
 GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT. AFTER THE BUILDING PERMIT HAS
 BEEN ISSUED, THE SUBCONTRACTORS CAN THEN SUBMIT SHOP
 DRAWINGS (CONFORMING TO THE ENGINEERED CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS) FOR A SUB-PERMIT.

 RELIEVE THE OWNER, CONTRACTOR, ETC. OF THE
 RESPONSIBILITY OF COMPLIANCE WITH CODE (NFPA 1, SECTION
 1.14.4). FBC SECTION 105.4.1 PERMIT INTENT: A PERMIT
 ISSUED SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO BE A LICENSE TO PROCEED
 WITH THE WORK AND NOT AS AUTHORITY TO VIOLATE, CANCEL,
 ALTER OR SET ASIDE ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE
 TECHNICAL CODES, NOR SHALL ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT PREVENT
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL FROM THEREAFTER REQUIRING A
 CORRECTION OF ERRORS IN PLANS, CONSTRUCTION OR
 VIOLATIONS OF THIS CODE.
