 COMMENTS.
 CODE: 2010 FBC.
  
 1- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION WAS
 UPDATED TO $517,735. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR,
 MATERIALS, CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND ALL
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. THE PERMIT FEE BALANCE IS $8,484.60.
  
 2- PLEASE PROVIDE COPY OF THE IMPACT FEES PAID RECEIPT.
 COUNTY STAMPED PLANS AND COPY OF PAID RECEIPT ARE
 ALWAYS REQUIRED BY PALM BEACH COUNTY.
  
 3- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO SPECIFY ROOF TILE FASTENING AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.2.1.2 CITY AMENDMENTS. IF
 SPECIFYING ADHESIVE, THEN PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL. IF
 SPECIFYING SCREWS, THEN SPECIFY THE SIZE AND NUMBER OF
 SCREWS.
  
 4- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 DCA RULE 9N-3 FOR:
 A) ALL USP STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS SPECIFIED ON PLANS AND
 ALL DETAILS. PROVIDE ONLY THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL
 COVER PAGE AND PAGE SHOWING THE SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
 OR, LIST THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER NEXT TO
 EACH SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
  
 B) ALL PRECAST LINTELS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
  
 C) ROOF TILE ADHESIVE IF SPECIFIED BY THE ENGINEER OF
 RECORD. SEE ROOF TILE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR LISTED
 PRODUCTS.
  
 D) THERE WERE TWO ROOF TILE PRODUCT APPROVALS
 SUBMITTED. NOA 11-0321.03 AND FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL
 FL7473-R5 ALONG WITH RIDGE FL PRODUCT APPROVAL
 FL8095-R2. PROVIDE COMPLETE ROOFING PACKAGE EITHER
 MIAMI NOA'S OR COMPLETE PACKAGE FROM FLORIDA PRODUCT
 APPROVAL. MISMATCHING IS NOT ALLOWED.
  
 5- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS. NOTE: PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED
 DON'T IDENTIFY WHO REVIEWED THEM. THERE IS ONLY A
 STATEMENT SAYING REVIEWED WITH SOME INITIALS AND DATE.
 BUT, THIS DOESN'T IDENTIFY THE REVIEWER OF RECORD.
 PROVIDE NAME OF THE ENGINEER WHO APPROVED IT. ENGINEER
 MAY ALSO PROVIDE LETTER IDENTIFYING EACH PRODUCT
 APPROVAL THAT WAS REVIEWED AND APPROVED.
  
 6- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF SOFFITS AND CEILINGS
 IN COVERED PORCHES SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. R703.2
 OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. NOTE: TYP. WALL SECTION ONLY
 SPECIFIES STUCCO ON METHAL LATH. WILL THIS RESIST THE
 DESIGN PRESSURES OF SEC. R301 OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL?.
  
 7- CLEARLY SPECIFY SIZE OF MULLIONS TO BE USED AT ENTRY
 DOOR ASSEMBLY AND ALL OTHER WINDOW MULLIONS TO VERIFY
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTED AND
 CALCULATED DESIGN PRESSURES. SEC. R301.1 OF 2010
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 8- SURVEYOR NOTE #6 STATES THAT THIS SURVEY IS NOT
 INTENDED FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES. PROVIDE SURVEY THAT
 MAY BE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 9-ENERGY CALCULATIONS SUBMITTED:
 A) ITEM # 5 STATES THAT CALCULATIONS ARE NOT DONE WORST
 CASE SCENARIO. THEN, CLARIFY WHY THE BUILDING WAS
 ROTATED 90 DEGREES AS SPECIFIED ON PAGE 2 OF 6. ALSO
 WINDOWS AND WALLS ON PAGE 3 OF 6 SHOW ROTATED BUILDING
 ORIENTATION. PROVIDE CALCULATIONS THAT SHOW THE ACTUAL
 ORIENTATION OF THE BUILDING. SEC. 103.2.2 OF 2010
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 B) ITEM #10 CALLS FOR R-38 CEILING INSULATION. THIS
 DOESN'T MATCH PLANS. REVISE AS REQUIRED EITHER PLANS OR
 CALCULATIONS TO MATCH. SEC. 103.2.2 OF 2010 FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION.
  
 C) DOORS ON PAGE 3 OF 6 SPECIFY WOOD DOOR. WHERE IS THE
 WOOD DOOR?. WHY IN BEDROOMS?. THERE ARE NOT SOLID WOOD
 DOORS ON EXTERIOR DOORS. SEE PRODUCT APPROVALS. SEC.
 103.2.2 OF 2010 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 D) SEE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS BY THE MECHANICAL REVIEWER.
  
 IMPORTANT: THE U-FACTOR AND SHGC FACTOR SPECIFIED ON
 ITEM #7 FOR WINDOWS AND DOORS WILL BE VERIFIED IN
 FIELD.
