 FOLLOWING LOCATIONS BY THE USE OF NATURALLY DURABLE
 WOOD OR WOOD THAT IS PRESERVATIVE-TREATED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH AWPA U1 FOR THE SPECIES, PRODUCT, PRESERVATIVE AND
 END USE. PRESERVATIVES SHALL BE LISTED IN SECTION 4 OF
 AWPA U1.
 1. WOOD JOISTS OR THE BOTTOM OF A WOOD STRUCTURAL FLOOR
 WHEN CLOSER THAN 18 INCHES (457 MM) OR WOOD GIRDERS
 WHEN CLOSER THAN 12 INCHES (305 MM) TO THE EXPOSED
 GROUND IN CRAWL SPACES OR UNEXCAVATED AREA LOCATED
 WITHIN THE PERIPHERY OF THE BUILDING FOUNDATION.
  
 5) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R408.1 VENTILATION.
 THE UNDER-FLOOR SPACE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR
 JOISTS AND THE EARTH UNDER ANY BUILDING (EXCEPT SPACE
 OCCUPIED BY A BASEMENT) SHALL HAVE VENTILATION OPENINGS
 THROUGH FOUNDATION WALLS OR EXTERIOR WALLS. THE MINIMUM
 NET AREA OF VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN
 1 SQUARE FOOT (0.0929 M2) FOR EACH 150 SQUARE FEET (14
 M2) OF UNDER-FLOOR SPACE AREA, UNLESS THE GROUND
 SURFACE IS COVERED BY A CLASS 1 VAPOR RETARDER
 MATERIAL. WHEN A CLASS 1 VAPOR RETARDER MATERIAL IS
 USED, THE MINIMUM NET AREA OF VENTILATION OPENINGS
 SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 1 SQUARE FOOT (0.0929 M2) FOR
 EACH 1,500 SQUARE FEET (140 M2) OF UNDER-FLOOR SPACE
 AREA. ONE SUCH VENTILATING OPENING SHALL BE WITHIN 3
 FEET (914 MM) OF EACH CORNER OF THE BUILDING.
  
 6) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R408.4 ACCESS.
 ACCESS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO ALL UNDER-FLOOR SPACES.
 ACCESS OPENINGS THROUGH THE FLOOR SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF
 18 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (457 MM BY 610 MM). OPENINGS
 THROUGH A PERIMETER WALL SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 16
 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (407 MM BY 610 MM). WHEN ANY
 PORTION OF THE THROUGH-WALL ACCESS IS BELOW GRADE, AN
 AREA-WAY NOT LESS THAN 16 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (407 MM
 BY 610 MM) SHALL BE PROVIDED. THE BOTTOM OF THE AREAWAY
 SHALL BE BELOW THE THRESHOLD OF THE ACCESS OPENING.
 THROUGH WALL ACCESS OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LOCATED UNDER
 A DOOR TO THE RESIDENCE. SEE SECTION M1305.1.4 FOR
 ACCESS REQUIREMENTS WHERE MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT IS
 LOCATED UNDER FLOORS.
  
 7) THERE ARE ERRORS IN THE TRUSS ANCHOR SCHEDULE ON
 S-2. THE MANUFACTURER IS SIMPSON, NOT SYMPSON. THE
 DETAL 20 CONNECTOR IS LISTED AS "DETAIL" 20. THE MARK C
 CONNECTOR WITH A 3965 UPLIFT RATING IS INCORRECTLY
 SPECIFIED AS A META 16 CONNECTOR. PLEASE CORRECT. FBC
 107.2.1
  
 8) ON SHEET A-1 THE OUTSWING ENTRY AND GARAGE DOORS
 HAVE THE LETTER J AS AN ID MARK. THERE ARE NO LETTER J
 MARK IN THE DOOR SCHEDULE. THERE IS A NUMBER 2 MARK FOR
 DOORS. THAT HAS NO CORRESPONDING ID MARK ON THE PLANS.
 IT APPEARS THAT THIS SHOULD BE THE J MARK. PLEASE
 CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 9) THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING PRESSURES FOR THE
 OUTSWING SIDE GARAGE DOOR ARE NOT SPECIFIED ON THE
 PLANS. FBC-R301.2.1
  
 10) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR EACH OF
 THE DIFFERENT ROOFING MATERIALS. SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF
 THE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE BORAL PEEL & STICK
 UNDERLAYMENT AND ASPHALT SHINGLES ( SLOPED ROOF ), AS
 WELL AS, THE MODIFIED HOT MOP ROOFING ( FLAT ROOF )
 THAT ARE SPECIFIED ON SHEET A-1.
  
 11) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIMES AND PROVIDE
 CLARIFICATION, PLEASE SUBMIT A RESPONSE LETTER
 INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW COMMENTS HAS BEEN
 ADDRESSED.
