 DENIED BY MECHANICAL
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) FBC-R - M1401.3 SIZING. HEATING AND COOLING
 EQUIPMENT SHALL BE SIZED BASED ON BUILDING LOADS
 CALCULATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACCA MANUAL J OR OTHER
 APPROVED HEATING AND COOLING CALCULATION METHODOLOGIES.
 PROVIDE EQUIPMENT SIZING CALCULATIONS.
  
 2) FBC - 107.3.5.3 PROVIDE MECHANICAL PLANS. FBC
 -107.3.5.1.4 MECHANICAL MINIMUM PLAN REVIEW CRITERIA:
 SHOW, EXHAUST SYSTEMS, CLOTHES DRYER EXHAUST, KITCHEN
 EQUIPMENT EXHAUST, SPECIALTY EXHAUST SYSTEMS,
 EQUIPMENT, EQUIPMENT LOCATION, MAKE-UP AIR,
 ROOF-MOUNTED EQUIPMENT, DUCT SYSTEMS, VENTILATION,
 COMBUSTION AIR, CHIMNEYS, FIREPLACES AND VENTS,
 APPLIANCES, BOILERS, REFRIGERATION, BATHROOM
 VENTILATION, LABORATORY, DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION.
  
 3) PLEASE CLARIFY THE LOCATION OF THE AIR HANDLER THAT
 IS LOCATED IN THE ATTIC. THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THE
 EXISTING PITCHED ROOF OF THE HOUSE IS TO BE REPLACED
 WITH NEW LOW SLOPE ROOF TRUSSES. WILL THERE BE ENOUGH
 ROOM FOR THE AIR HANDLER? ALSO IT APPEARS THAT ALL OF
 THE DUCT WORK IN THE ATTIC WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED AND
 REPLACED.
  
 4) THE DEMO PLANS SPECIFY THAT THE TWO MINI-SPLITS AT
 THE GARAGE WILL REMAIN AND SHEET A.05 SHOWS ONE NEW AC
 UNIT. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 5) FBC 107.2.1 PROVIDE THE MODEL NUMBERS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS OF THE HEATING AND COOLING EQUIPMENT IN
 AN EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE ON THE MECHANICAL PLAN THAT
 CORRESPONDS WITH THE EQUIPMENT SIZING CALCULATIONS.
  
 6) FBC-R - M 1602.4 PROVIDE BALANCED AIR RETURN AT
 BEDROOMS.
  
 7) FBC-R - M1305.1.3 APPLIANCES IN ATTICS.
 ATTICS CONTAINING APPLIANCES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH AN
 OPENING AND A CLEAR AND UNOBSTRUCTED PASSAGEWAY LARGE
 ENOUGH TO ALLOW REMOVAL OF THE LARGEST APPLIANCE, BUT
 NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES (762 MM) HIGH AND 22 INCHES
 (559 MM) WIDE AND NOT MORE THAN 6 FEET (1829 MM) LONG
 MEASURED ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF THE PASSAGEWAY FROM
 THE OPENING TO THE APPLIANCE. THE PASSAGEWAY SHALL HAVE
 CONTINUOUS SOLID FLOORING IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 5
 NOT LESS THAN 24 INCHES (610 MM) WIDE. A LEVEL SERVICE
 SPACE AT LEAST 30 INCHES (762 MM) DEEP AND 30 INCHES
 (762 MM) WIDE SHALL BE PRESENT ALONG ALL SIDES OF THE
 APPLIANCE WHERE ACCESS IS REQUIRED. THE CLEAR ACCESS
 OPENING DIMENSIONS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 20 INCHES BY
 30 INCHES (508 MM BY 762 MM), AND LARGE ENOUGH TO ALLOW
 REMOVAL OF THE LARGEST APPLIANCE.
  
 8) FBC-R - M1305.1.3.1 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS.
 A LUMINAIRE CONTROLLED BY A SWITCH LOCATED AT THE
 REQUIRED PASSAGEWAY OPENING AND A RECEPTACLE OUTLET
 SHALL BE INSTALLED AT OR NEAR THE APPLIANCE LOCATION IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 34.
  
 9) FBC-R - M1305.1.3.2 AIR-HANDLING UNITS.
 AIR-HANDLING UNITS SHALL BE ALLOWED IN ATTICS IF THE
 FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:
 1. THE SERVICE PANEL OF THE EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED WITHIN
 6 FEET (1829 MM) OF AN ATTIC ACCESS.
 2. A DEVICE IS INSTALLED TO ALERT THE OWNER OR SHUT THE
 UNIT DOWN WHEN THE CONDENSATION DRAIN IS NOT WORKING
 PROPERLY.
 3. THE ATTIC ACCESS OPENING IS OF SUFFICIENT SIZE TO
 REPLACE THE AIR HANDLER.
 4. A NOTICE IS POSTED ON THE ELECTRIC SERVICE PANEL
 INDICATING TO THE HOMEOWNER THAT THE AIR HANDLER IS
 LOCATED IN THE ATTIC. SAID NOTICE SHALL BE IN ALL
 CAPITALS, IN 16 POINT TYPE, WITH THE TITLE AND FIRST
 PARAGRAPH IN BOLD:
