 WHERE THE CLASSIFICATION, STRENGTH OR COMPRESSIBILITY
 OF THE SOIL IS IN DOUBT OR WHERE A LOAD-BEARING VALUE
 SUPERIOR TO THAT SPECIFIED IN THIS CODE IS CLAIMED, THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL SHALL BE PERMITTED TO REQUIRE THAT A
 GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION BE CONDUCTED.
  
 2) SHEET S-1 SECTION A-A SHOWS THE BOTTOM OF THE
 FOUNDATION ONLY 6 INCHES BELOW GRADE. 1809.4 DEPTH AND
 WIDTH OF FOOTINGS.
 THE MINIMUM DEPTH OF FOOTINGS BELOW THE UNDISTURBED
 GROUND SURFACE SHALL BE 12 INCHES (305 MM). WHERE
 APPLICABLE, THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 1809.5 SHALL

 1816.1 TERMITE PROTECTION. 1816.1.4 IF SOIL TREATMENT
 IS USED FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE PREVENTION, CHEMICALLY
 TREATED SOIL SHALL BE PROTECTED WITH A MINIMUM 6

 CONVENTIONAL ROOF FRAMING SYSTEM. NOTE IF HAND FRAMED
 THE N COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 2308.10.4 CEILING JOIST AND
 RAFTER FRAMING.
 RAFTERS SHALL BE FRAMED DIRECTLY OPPOSITE EACH OTHER AT
 THE RIDGE. THERE SHALL BE A RIDGE BOARD AT LEAST 1-INCH
 (25 MM) NOMINAL THICKNESS AT RIDGES AND NOT LESS IN
 DEPTH THAN THE CUT END OF THE RAFTER. AT VALLEYS AND
 HIPS, THERE SHALL BE A SINGLE VALLEY OR HIP RAFTER NOT
