 1) SHEET A-2 INDICATES UNDER THE HEADING CODE SUMMARY
 THIS BUILDING O BE A TYPE IV BUILDING WHICH IS HEAVY
 TIMBER CONSTRUCTION. PLEASE VERIFY TYPE OF
 CONSTRUCTION. 2010 FBC-B TABLE 601.
  
 2) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT DECLARED UNDER THE
 2010 FL EXISTING BUILDING CODE AS TO WHICH OF THE
 COMPLIANCE METHODS THE RENOVATION WAS DESIGNED. 2010 FL
 EXST BLDG CODE 101.5. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS REVIEW, I
 AM GOING TO REVIEW UNDER THE WORK AREA METHOD AS A
 LEVEL II ALTERATION. 2010 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL
 II 701.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS,
 COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 3) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS INDICATED ON SHEET A-2
 THE AREA NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE WORK AREA AS N.I.C.
 THE REST OF THE BUILDING WILL BE REVIEWED AS THE AREA
 OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED AND IS TO BE REVIEWED FOR CODE
 COMPLIANCE.
  
 3A) THE CODE SUMMARY INDICATES THIS OCCUPANCY AS A
 EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCY, NON-SPRINKLERED, THE PLANS FAIL
 TO INDICATE THE CORRIDOR WALLS TO BE 1 HOUR FIRE RATED
 WITH FIRE RATED DOORS SEE TABLE 715.4 AND TABLE 1018.1.
  
 3B) THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE ANY DOOR SCHEDULE NOR
 HARDWARE FOR EGRESS DOORS. SHOW COMPLIANCE FOR
 1008.1.10 PANIC AND FIRE EXIT HARDWARE. DOORS SERVING A
 GROUP H OCCUPANCY AND DOORS SERVING ROOMS OR SPACES
 WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 50 OR MORE IN A GROUP A OR E
 OCCUPANCY SHALL NOT BE PROVIDED WITH A LATCH OR LOCK
 UNLESS IT IS PANIC HARDWARE OR FIRE EXIT HARDWARE.
  
 4C) THE OTHER ISSUE IS THIS IS A NON-SPRINKLERED
 BUILDING, EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCY AND COMPLIANCE WITH
 SECTION 2010 FBC-B 1029.4.1
 EVERY ROOM OR SPACE GREATER THAN 250 SQUARE FEET (23.2
 M2) IN EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCIES USED FOR CLASSROOM OR
 OTHER EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES OR NORMALLY SUBJECT TO
 STUDENT OCCUPANCY AND EVERY ROOM OR SPACE NORMALLY
 SUBJECT TO CLIENT OCCUPANCY, OTHER THAN BATHROOMS.
 1. SUCH WINDOWS SHALL BE OPENABLE FROM THE INSIDE
 WITHOUT THE USE OF TOOLS AND SHALL PROVIDE A CLEAR
 OPENING OF NOT LESS THAN 20
 INCHES (508 MM) IN WIDTH, 24 INCHES (610 MM) IN HEIGHT,
 AND 5.7 SQUARE FEET (0.53 M2) IN AREA.
 2. THE BOTTOM OF THE OPENING SHALL BE NOT MORE THAN 44
 INCHES (1118 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR, AND ANY LATCHING
 DEVICE SHALL BE CAPABLE
 OF BEING OPERATED FROM NOT MORE THAN 54 INCHES (1372
 MM) ABOVE THE FINISHED FLOOR.
  
 4D) NOTE AT THIS TIME NO MECHANICAL PLANS WERE PROVIDED
 TO VERIFY CODE COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-B 716.1.1 DUCTS
 THAT PENETRATE FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED ASSEMBLIES WITHOUT
 DAMPERS. DUCTS THAT PENETRATE FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED
 ASSEMBLIES AND ARE NOT REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION TO HAVE
 DAMPERS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS
 713.2 THROUGH 713.3.3. DUCTS THAT PENETRATE HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONTAINED WITHIN A SHAFT
 AND NOT REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION TO HAVE DAMPERS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS 713.4 THROUGH
 713.4.2.2.

 SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE
