 CONSTRUCTION, PROJECTIONS, OPENINGS AND PENETRATIONS OF
 EXTERIOR WALLS OF DWELLINGS AND ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH TABLE R302.1.
  
 2) THIS STRUCTURE IS LOCATED WITHIN 600 FEET OF THE
 INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY WHICH IS EXPOSURE D, THEREFORE,
 THIS STRUCTURE IS EXPOSURE CATEGORY D. PLEASE CORRECT
 SHEET S-1 AND REVISE THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING
 PRESSURES ACCORDINGLY.
 R301.2.1.4.3 EXPOSURE CATEGORIES.
 AN EXPOSURE CATEGORY SHALL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH THE FOLLOWING:
 EXPOSURE D. EXPOSURE D SHALL APPLY WHERE THE GROUND
 SURFACE ROUGHNESS, AS DEFINED BY SURFACE ROUGHNESS D,
 PREVAILS IN THE UPWIND DIRECTION FOR A DISTANCE OF AT
 LEAST 5,000 FEET (1524 M) OR 20 TIMES THE HEIGHT OF THE
 BUILDING, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. EXPOSURE D SHALL ALSO
 APPLY WHERE THE GROUND SURFACE ROUGHNESS IMMEDIATELY

 4) SPECIFY THE CEILING INSULATION ON THE PLANS. FBC

 5) THE NOTE ON S-1 SPECIFIES FBC 2009 AND ASCE 7 - 11
 WHICH DO NOT EXIST. CHANGE TO 2010 FBC AND ASCE 7 -10.
  
 6) IN THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING NOTES ON S-1, ZONES
 1,2 AND 3 ARE LISTED UNDER WALL PRESSURE LOADS. THESE
 ARE ROOF ZONES. ALSO, THE PRESSURES FOR ZONE 3 ARE
 LISTED AS N/A AND SHOULD BE SPECIFIED. PLEASE CORRECT.
 FBC-R301.2.1 BUILDINGS AND PORTIONS THEREOF SHALL BE
 LIMITED BY WIND SPEED, AS DEFINED IN TABLE R301.2(1)
 AND CONSTRUCTION METHODS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS CODE.

 7) FBC 107.3.5.3 - INDICATE THE MEANS OF TERMITE
 PROTECTION PROPOSED PURSUANT TO FBC-R318.
  
 8) PROVIDE TWO SETS OF FLOOR PLANS WITH DIMENSIONS TO
 INDICATE THE LOCATIONS OF THE WINDOWS, EXTERIOR AND
 INTERIOR DOORS, THE LOCATION OF THE BATHROOM FIXTURES,
 SIZE OF INTERIOR DOORS AND OPENINGS. FBC-R 107.2.1
  
 9) FBC-R314.3.1 ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 10) ON SHEET S-3, IT IS SPECIFIED THAT THE BOTTOM PLATE
 OF THE EXTERIOR WALL IS TAPCON-ED TO THE SLAB. THIS IS
 NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXTERIOR WALL TO SLAB ATTACHMENT.
 PLEASE CORRECT. FBC-R 301.1 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES,
 AND ALL PARTS THEREOF, SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED TO SAFELY
 SUPPORT ALL LOADS, INCLUDING DEAD LOADS, LIVE LOADS,
 ROOF LOADS, FLOOD LOADS, AND WIND LOADS AS PRESCRIBED
 BY THIS CODE. THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND
 STRUCTURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
 CODE SHALL RESULT IN A SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES A COMPLETE
 LOAD PATH THAT MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSFER
 OF ALL LOADS FROM THEIR POINT OF ORIGIN THROUGH THE
 LOAD-RESISTING ELEMENTS TO THE FOUNDATION.
  
 11) SPECIFY HOW THE TOP PLATES OF THE 2 X 4 STRUCTURAL
 WALL ON TOP OF THE EXISTING CBS WALL WILL BE ATTACHED
 TO THE 2 X 4 CATS BETWEEN THE RAFTERS AND TRUSSES. FBC
 107.2.1
  
 12) SPECIFY THE SLOPE OF THE ROOF ON THE PLANS. FBC -
 R905.2.2 SLOPE.
 ASPHALT SHINGLES SHALL ONLY BE USED ON ROOF SLOPES OF
 TWO UNITS VERTICAL IN 12 UNITS HORIZONTAL (2:12) OR
 GREATER. FOR ROOF SLOPES FROM TWO UNITS VERTICAL IN 12
 UNITS HORIZONTAL (2:12) UP TO FOUR UNITS VERTICAL IN 12
 UNITS HORIZONTAL (4:12), TWO LAYERS OF UNDERLAYMENT
 COMPLYING WITH ASTM D 226, TYPE I OR TYPE II, ASTM D
 4869, TYPE I OR TYPE II OR ASTM D 6757 IS REQUIRED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION R905.2.7.
  
 13) PROVIDE DETAILS FOR THE DOUBLE RIDGE BEAM. SPECIFY
 THE LUMBER TYPE, SIZE, HOW THE TWO ARE PUT TOGETHER,
 HOW IT WILL ATTACH TO THE EXISTING TRUSS ROOF AND HOW
 THE ENDS WILL BE SUPPORTED. FBC 107.2.1 AND FBC-R 301.1
  
 14) IT APPEARS THAT THE ADDITION WILL HAVE A SINGLE
 ASSEMBLY SLOPED ROOF SYSTEM WITHOUT A HORIZONTAL
 CEILING DIAPHRAGM TO PROVIDE LATERAL WIND LOAD
 RESISTANCE. THE RIDGE WILL NEED TO BE DESIGNED TO
 ACCOUNT FOR SOME OF THE LATERAL LOADS SO THAT THE WALLS
 WON'T SPLAY OUTWARDS FROM THE ROOF LOADS. SUBMIT
 CALCULATIONS AND DETAILED DRAWINGS FROM THE ENGINEER
 THAT DESCRIBE IN DETAIL HOW THESE LATERAL FORCES WILL
 BE ADDRESSED. FBC 107.2.1.3 & FBC 606.3.2
  
 15) THE INFORMATION ON THE PLANS IS REQUIRED TO BE
 SPECIFIC PER FBC 107.2.1. SPECIFY THE REQUIRED LAP FOR
 THE FOUNDATION CORNER BARS ON THE PLANS.
  
 16) PROVIDE DIMENSIONS ON THE DRAWINGS TO THE LOCATIONS
 OF THE 4 X 4 POSTS AT THE PATIO AND THE SPANS OF THE 2
 X 6 JOISTS. FBC 107.2.1
  
 17) THE 4 X 4 POSTS, THE BEAM AND RAFTERS FOR THE PATIO
 THAT ARE EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER ARE REQUIRED TO BE
 PRESSURE TREATED OR OF APPROVED WOOD OF NATURAL DECAY
 RESISTANCE. R317.1.3 IN GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS WHERE
 EXPERIENCE HAS DEMONSTRATED A SPECIFIC NEED, APPROVED
 NATURALLY DURABLE OR PRESSURE-PRESERVATIVE-TREATED WOOD
 SHALL BE USED FOR THOSE PORTIONS OF WOOD MEMBERS THAT
 FORM THE STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS OF BUILDINGS, BALCONIES,
 PORCHES OR SIMILAR PERMANENT BUILDING APPURTENANCES
 WHEN THOSE MEMBERS ARE EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER WITHOUT
 ADEQUATE PROTECTION FROM A ROOF, EAVE, OVERHANG OR
 OTHER COVERING THAT WOULD PREVENT MOISTURE OR WATER
 ACCUMULATION ON THE SURFACE OR AT JOINTS BETWEEN
 MEMBERS.
  
 18) FBC-R703.6.3 WHERE CEMENT PLASTER (STUCCO) IS TO BE
 APPLIED TO LATH OVER FRAME CONSTRUCTION, MEASURES SHALL
 BE TAKEN TO PREVENT BONDING BETWEEN THE CEMENT PLASTER
 AND THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER. A BOND BREAK SHALL BE
 PROVIDED BETWEEN THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER AND THE
 CEMENT PLASTER (STUCCO) CONSISTING OF ONE OF THE
 FOLLOWING:
 1. TWO LAYERS OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 MATERIAL; OR
 2. ONE LAYER OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 OVER AN APPROVED PLASTIC HOUSE WRAP; OR
 3. OTHER APPROVED METHODS OR MATERIALS APPLIED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS.
  
 19) FBC-R806.1 VENTILATION REQUIRED.
 ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACES FORMED WHERE
 CEILINGS ARE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF ROOF
 RAFTERS SHALL HAVE CROSS VENTILATION FOR EACH SEPARATE
 SPACE BY VENTILATING OPENINGS PROTECTED AGAINST THE
 ENTRANCE OF RAIN. VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A
 LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM AND 1/4
 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. VENTILATION OPENINGS HAVING A
 LEAST DIMENSION LARGER THAN 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) SHALL BE
 PROVIDED WITH CORROSION-RESISTANT WIRE CLOTH SCREENING,
 HARDWARE CLOTH, OR SIMILAR MATERIAL WITH OPENINGS
 HAVING A LEAST DIMENSION OF 1/16 INCH (1.6 MM) MINIMUM
 AND 1/4 INCH (6.4 MM) MAXIMUM. OPENINGS IN ROOF FRAMING
 MEMBERS SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION
 R802.7.
 EXCEPTION: ATTIC SPACES, DESIGNED BY A PROFESSIONAL
 ENGINEER OR ARCHITECT LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN THE
 STATE, DESIGNED TO ELIMINATE THE ATTIC VENTING.
  
 20) FBC-R - M1305.1.3 APPLIANCES IN ATTICS.
 ATTICS CONTAINING APPLIANCES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH AN
 OPENING AND A CLEAR AND UNOBSTRUCTED PASSAGEWAY LARGE
 ENOUGH TO ALLOW REMOVAL OF THE LARGEST APPLIANCE, BUT
 NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES (762 MM) HIGH AND 22 INCHES
 (559 MM) WIDE AND NOT MORE THAN 6 FEET (1829 MM) LONG
 MEASURED ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF THE PASSAGEWAY FROM
 THE OPENING TO THE APPLIANCE. THE PASSAGEWAY SHALL HAVE
 CONTINUOUS SOLID FLOORING IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 5
 NOT LESS THAN 24 INCHES (610 MM) WIDE. A LEVEL SERVICE
 SPACE AT LEAST 30 INCHES (762 MM) DEEP AND 30 INCHES
 (762 MM) WIDE SHALL BE PRESENT ALONG ALL SIDES OF THE
 APPLIANCE WHERE ACCESS IS REQUIRED. THE CLEAR ACCESS
 OPENING DIMENSIONS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 20 INCHES BY
 30 INCHES (508 MM BY 762 MM), AND LARGE ENOUGH TO ALLOW
 REMOVAL OF THE LARGEST APPLIANCE.
  
 21) FBC-R - M1305.1.3.1 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS.
 A LUMINAIRE CONTROLLED BY A SWITCH LOCATED AT THE
 REQUIRED PASSAGEWAY OPENING AND A RECEPTACLE OUTLET
 SHALL BE INSTALLED AT OR NEAR THE APPLIANCE LOCATION IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 34.
  
 22) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. SPECIFICALLY, PROVIDE ROOFING,
 WINDOW, AND DOOR SUBMITTALS.
  
 23) PRODUCT APPROVALS WERE SUBMITTED FOR A NON-IMPACT
 RATED FRENCH DOOR. IMPACT PROTECTION OF GLAZED OPENINGS
 IS REQUIRED BY FBC-R301.2.1.2. SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE STORM PANELS AND TWO COPIES
 OF AN INSTALLATION SCHEDULE AND KEY PLAN FOR THE STORM
 PANELS. SPECIFY THE OPENING SIZE, THE WIND PRESSURES,
 TYPE OF ANCHOR, ANCHOR SPACING, EDGE DISTANCE, PANEL
 LENGTH, PANEL SPAN, SEPARATION DISTANCE FROM PANEL TO
 GLASS AND THE APPLICABLE SECTION NUMBER FROM THE
 INSTALLATION DRAWINGS. I HAVE INCLUDED A LINK TO THE
 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT SITE THAT HAS MANY OF
 THE RELATED FORMS INCLUDING
 THE SCHEDULE FOR INSTALLATION OF OPENING PROTECTIVE
 DEVICES.
