 ADMINISTRATION, 2012 FBC SUPPLEMENTS.
  
 1ST ELECTRICAL PLAN REVIEW
 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE RISER INDICATES THE UTILITY
 METER IS FEEDING THE PANEL. THE PANEL IS LOCATED INSIDE
 THE HOUSE BY THE ATTIC ACCESS. A MAIN DISCONNECT NEEDS
 TO BE INSTALLED NEXT TO THE METER. SEE NEC 230.70
 (1)THE SERVICE DISCONNECTING MEANS SHALL BE INSTALLED
 AT A READILY ACCESSIBLE LOCATION EITHER OUTSIDE OF A
 BUILDING OR STRUCTURE OR INSIDE NEAREST THE POINT OF
 ENTRANCE OF THE SERVICE CONDUCTORS.
  
 2) PERMANENT LADDERS OR STAIRWAYS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO
 GIVE SAFE ACCESS TO THE WORKING SPACE AROUND ELECTRICAL
 EQUIPMENT INSTALLED ON PLATFORMS, BALCONIES, OR
 MEZZANINE FLOORS OR IN ATTIC OR ROOF ROOMS OR SPACES.
 NEC 110.33(B)
  
 3) THE OCPD INDICATED IN THE PANEL SCHEDULE/LOAD
 CALCULATION IS SHOWN AS AN 80AMP BREAKER WITH #8 WIRE.
 SEE NEC 310.16 FOR APPROPRIATE WIRE SIZE. IF AN 80AMP
 OCPD IS NEEDED FOR THE TANKLESS WATER HEATER A LARGER
 WIRE IS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE LOAD IN A SAFE AND CODE
 COMPLIANT MANNER.
  
 4) THE TANKLESS WATER HEATER IS INDICATED TO BE
 INSTALLED IN THE SAME LOACTION AS OR ABOVE THE DRYER.
 SEE NEC 110.26 SPACES ABOUT ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
 SUFFICIENT ACCESS AND WORKING SPACE SHALL BE PROVIDED
 AND MAINTAINED ABOUT ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT TO PERMIT
 READY AND SAFE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SUCH
 EQUIPMENT.
  
 5) ALL INFORMATION, DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
 ACCOMPANYING DATA SHALL BEAR THE NAME AND SIGNATURE OF
 THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN. WPB AMENDMENTS
 TO FBC 107.2.1 HAVE THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRINT THEIR
 NAME AND SIGN THE PLANS.
  
 6) WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS, OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS. FBC-RESIDENTIAL
 314 AND 315 BUILDINGS WITH AN ATTACHED GARAGE REQUIRE
 CARBON MONOXIDE SMOKE DETECTORS WITHIN 10' OF SLEEPING
 AREAS.
  
 7) THE ELECTRICAL APPLICATION CALLS FOR "LOW VOLTAGE
 WORK" THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE ANY SPECIFICE LOW
 VOLTAGE WORK. PLEASE REVISE PLANS TO INCLUDE ALL
 PROPOSED WORK.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A RESPONSE
 LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE CITY
 RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. SEE LINK:
