 THAT THIS EXCEPTION APPLIES TO IS THE MAIN EXTERIOR
 DOORS.
  
 2010 FBC-B 1008.1.9.3 & EXCEPTION # 2. IN BUILDINGS IN
 OCCUPANCY GROUP A HAVING AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 300 OR
 LESS, GROUPS B, F, M AND S, AND IN PLACES OF RELIGIOUS
 WORSHIP, THE MAIN EXTERIOR DOOR OR DOORS ARE PERMITTED
 TO BE EQUIPPED WITH KEY-OPERATED LOCKING DEVICES FROM
 THE EGRESS SIDE PROVIDED:
  
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT DESIGNATED WHICH DOOR OR
 SET OF DOORS IS TO BE CONSIDERED THE MAIN ENTRY WHERE
 THE PANIC HARDWARE CAN BE ELIMINATED. ALL OTHER
 REQUIRED EXIT DOORS WILL REQUIRE TO HAVE PANIC HARDWARE
 AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 1008.1.10. SHEET A0.05 AND THE
 DOOR SCHEDULE WILL NEED TO BE UPDATED TO REFLECT THE
 CHANGES IN HARDWARE.
  
 1B) IN SECTION: 1008.19.3 EXCEPTION # 2: SECTION 2.2. A
 READILY VISIBLE DURABLE SIGN IS POSTED ON THE EGRESS
 SIDE ON OR ADJACENT TO THE DOOR STATING: THIS DOOR TO
 REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. THE SIGN
 SHALL BE IN LETTERS 1 INCH (25 MM) HIGH ON A
 CONTRASTING BACKGROUND;
 THIS PART OF THE REQUIRED CODE REQUIREMENT HAS NOT BEEN
 MENTION NOR DISPLAYED AS PART OF THE EXCEPTION.
  
 1C) THE MANUFACTURERS SPEC ON THE LOCK INDICATES THAT
 IT IS NOT A LOCKING TYPE AND WILL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF 2.3.
  
 PLEASE NOTE THE 2010 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 102.4
 REFERENCED CODES AND STANDARDS. WHERE DIFFERENCES OCCUR
 BETWEEN PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE MOST STRIGENT CODE
 SHALL APPLY. THE FIRE CODES MAY HAVE BE THE MORE
 STRIGENT OF THE (2) CODES AND THEN GOVERN.
