| | THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR THIS PERMIT IS TO ADDRESS THE |
| | ILLEGAL CONVERSION OF AN EXISTING GARAGE TO AN |
| | APARTMENT OR ACCESSORY STRUCTURE. |
| | ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS, THIS STRUCTURE WAS |
| | ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED AS A DETACHED GARAGE. IT WAS |
| | CONVERTED TO AN APARTMENT WITH A KITCHEN, BEDROOM AND |
| | BATHROOM WITHOUT THE REQUIRED PERMITS OR INSPECTIONS. |
| | UNDER THE 2010 FBC EXISTING BUILDING THIS IS CONSIDERED |
| | A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY. IN ORDER FOR THIS STRUCTURE-TO |
| | BE BROUGHT INTO COMPLIANCE, IT WILL BE REQUIRED TO |
| | COMPLY WITH THE 2010 FBC EXISTING BUILDING FOR A CHANGE |
| | OF OCCUPANCY FROM A UTILITY TO AN R-3 OCCUPANCY. THIS |
| | CHANGE IS FROM A LOWER HAZARD CATEGORY TO A HIGHER ONE. |

| | (SEPARATION DISTANCE AND ALLOWABLE OPENINGS), THE |
| | REQUIREMENTS OF THE 2010 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION, THE |
| | REQUIREMENTS OF THE 2010 FBCR MECHANICAL, THE |
| | REQUIREMENTS OF THE 2010 FBCR PLUMBING AND THE |
| | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE |
| | 2008 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE. THE PLANS WILL NEED TO |
| | SHOW HOW THE GARAGE WILL BE CONVERTED TO HABITABLE |
| | SPACE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2010 FBC AND 2008 NEC. THE |
| | PLANS WILL NEED TO BE REVIEWED BY PALM BEACH COUNTY TO |
| | DETERMINE IF ANY IMPACT FEES ARE DUE. |
