 STATUTES AND CHAPTER 509 FLORIDA STATUTES, SHALL COMPLY
 WITH THE APPLICABLE CODE REQUIREMENTS FOUND IN THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING, CHAPTER 4, SPECIAL
 DETAILED REQUIREMENTS BASED ON USE AND OCCUPANCY.

 2) SHEET A-0.00 & A-1.00 : THE UPCOMING COMMENT WILL OR
 WILL NOT BE RELEVENT DEPENDING ON HOW THIS PROJECT IS
 LOOKED AT. UNDER THE HEADING OF RESTAURANT THERE ARE
 MORE THAN ADEQUITE FIXTURES, THE 2010 FBC-PLUMBING CODE
 SECTION 403.5 DOES LOOK AT REQUIRED FIXTURES NOT IS
 PROVIDED, UNDER THE HEADING OF RESTARAUNT THE FIXTURE
 COUNT IS ABOVE THE CODE REQUIREMENTS.
  
 THE PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING IS UNDER A RESTAURANT YOU
 HAVE A COMMERCIAL KITCHEN FOR FIXING MEALS, THERE IS NO
 EQUIPMENT FOR THE HEATING AND PREPARING OF FOOD. THE
 SECOND ISSUE WITH THE CLASSIFICATION OF A RESTAURANT
 ,THERE IS NO TABLES AND CHAIRS THAT WOULD BE ASSOCIATED
 WITH A RESTAURANT. WE DO NOT SEE ANY TABLE AND CHAIRS
 ON THE LIFE SAFETY PLANS FOR FLOOR PLANS FOR THE FIRST
 OR SECOND FLOOR.
  
 IF THIS PROJECT IS REVIEWED UNDER THE NIGHTCLUB USAGE,
 NOT REQUIRING A FULL BLOWN KITCHEN, NOT REQUIRING TABLE
 AND CHAIRS THE REQUIRED 40 SQ FT/ OCC GOES TO 75 SQ FT/
 OCC ALMOST DOUBLING THE REQUIRED FIXTURE COUNT, THEN
 WITH THE COMBINED REQUIRED WATER CLOSET COUNT FOR MENS
 & LADIES RESTROOMS A SEPERATE UNISEX RESTROOM WILL BE
 REQUIRED. OUR PROBLEM IS THE PLANS APPEAR TO BE A
 NIGHTCLUB SETTING AND NOT THE RESTAURANT DECLARED BY
 THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
  
 2A)IF CONSIDERED A NIGHTCLUB: CODE ANALYSIS UNDER THE
 HEADING USE & OCCUPANCY INDICATES THIS TO BE AN A2
 OCCUPANCY / RESTARAUNT. THE PLUMBING FIXTURE COUNT ALSO
 REFLECTS
 THE REQUIRED FIXTURES FOR A RESTARAUNT USE. THE
 REQUIRED WATER CLOSET COUNT OF 2 REQUIRED WATER CLOSETS
 ARE PROVIDED WITH A 3RD ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FOR EACH
 THE MENS AND WOMENS RESTROOMS. THE ISSUE IS THERE IS NO
 UNISEX RESTROOM AS REQUIRED BY 2010 FL ACC CODE 403.5.

 FAMILY OR ASSISTED-USE TOILET AND BATH FIXTURES.
 FIXTURES LOCATED WITHIN FAMILY OR ASSISTED-USE TOILET
 AND BATHING ROOMS REQUIRED BY THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, ACCESSIBILITY ARE PERMITTED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE
 NUMBER OF REQUIRED FIXTURES FOR EITHER THE MALE OR
 FEMALE OCCUPANTS IN ASSEMBLY AND MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCIES. THIS IS A GENERAL CODE ARTICLE THAT ALLOWS
 THE FAMILY OR ASSITED- USE RESTROOMS TO BE COUNTED IN
 EITHER OR MALE OR FEMALE FIXTURE COUNT.
  
 SECTION 403.5 IS A SPECIFIC CODE ARTILE THAT DEALS ONLY
 WITH ASSEMBLY & MERCANTILE OCCUPANCIES. 403.5 UNISEX
 TOILET AND BATHING ROOMS. IN ASSEMBLY AND MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCIES, AN ACCESSIBLE UNISEX TOILET ROOM SHALL BE
 PROVIDED WHERE AN AGGREGATE OF SIX OR MORE MALE AND
 FEMALE WATER CLOSETS IS REQUIRED, AGAIN UNDER A
 NIGHTCLUB SETTING.
 WITH THE SINGLE MENS ACCESIBLE RESTROOM THE PLANS ARE
 MISSING THE REQUIRED UNISEX RESTROOM REQUIRED BY THE
 2010 FL ACCESSIBILITY CODE UNDER THE NIGHTCLUB SETTING.
  
 3) SHEET P-1 NOTE # 3 INDICATES THE REUSE OF THE
 EXISTING GREASE INTERCEPTOR. PLEASE CONTACT WEST PALM
 BEACH FOG (FATS, OILS & GREASE) INSPECTORS TO VERIFY
 THE EXISITNG INTERCEPTOR SIZE AS WELL AS CONDITION TO
 SEE IF THE EXISITNG INTERCEPTOR CAN BE REUSED. THE
 CONCRETE TYPE VAULT INTERCEPTORS ARE TO BE LOCATED ON
 THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING.

 TYPE OF GREASE INTERCEPTORS THERE ARE VARIOUS METHODS
 FOR SIZING. FOR THE CONCRETE TYPE VAULT INTERCEPTORS
 SEE SIZING TABLE 1003.5.1 2010 FBC-P SIZING FORMULA FOR
 RESTAURANTS.
  
 5) SHEET P-3.0 IN THE LADIES RESTROOM THE WATER CLOSETS
 NEED TO BE EITHER INDIVIDUALLY VENTED OR A CIRCUIT VENT
 AS DRAWN IT APPEARS TO BE A VET VENT SYSTEM,

 ANSWER:
 NO. ONLY FIXTURES IN BATHROOM GROUPS AS DEFINED IN
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE - PLUMBING CHAPTER 2 ARE
 PERMITTED TO
 CONNECT TO THE WET VENT. ANY ADDITIONAL FIXTURES MUST
 DISCHARGE DOWNSTREAM OF THE WET VENT.
 COMMENTARY:
 A URINAL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE DEFINITION OF A
 BATHROOM GROUP.
