 NOTE: THE PERMIT FOR THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN APPLIED FOR
 UNDER THE OWNER BUILDER EXEMPTION OF CHAPTER 489
 CONTRACTING. THESE ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCES ARE
 REQUIRED TO BE FOR THE OCCUPANCY OR USE OF THE OWNER
 AND CAN NOT BE OFFERED FOR SALE OR LEASE FOR ONE YEAR
 AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
  
  
 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) SMOKE ALARMS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL 3 DWELLING UNITS.
 R314.3.1 ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 2) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS AS REQUIRED
 BY DCA RULE 9N-3 FOR THE NEW SLIDING GLASS DOORS AND
 STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS.
  
 3) THE PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. CITY
 AMENDMENTS 107.2.1
  
 4) SPECIFY THE WATER PROOFING SYSTEM (SUBMIT 2 COPIES
 OF PRODUCT APPROVALS) THAT WILL BE USED ON THE BALCONY
 AND PROVIDE A WALL TO DECK FLASHING DETAIL. CITY
 AMENDMENTS 107.2.1
  
 5) THE ELEVATIONS OF THE REAR BUILDING ON SHEET A-6 OF
 THE PLANS SHOW A PARTIALLY ENCLOSED PORCH THAT APPEARS
 TO BE CANTILEVERED. HAVE THIS CONDITION EVALUATED BY AN
 ENGINEER AND SUBMIT A SIGNED AND SEALED LETTER STATING
 THAT IT'S CONSTRUCTION WILL SAFELY SUPPORT ALL LIVE
 LOADS, DEAD LOADS, FLOOR LOADS, ROOF LOADS AND WIND
 LOADS AS REQUIRED BY THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. FBC

 6) CLARIFY THE ATTACHMENT OF THE EXISTING CONCRETE
 FOOTING TO THE NEW REINFORCED BLOCK FOUNDATION
 EXTENSION WALL SHOWN IN DETAIL 2 ON SHEET S-1. FBC R404
  
 7) THERE IS NO TIE BEAM WITH HORIZONTAL REINFORCEMENT
 SHOWN AT THE TOP OF THE 8" BLOCK RETAINING WALL IN
 DETAIL 6 ON SHEET S-1. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC R404
  
 8) THE REPAIRED WALLS AND CEILINGS FORMING THE BUILDING
 ENVELOPE SHALL BE INSULATED AND THE REPLACED COMPONENTS
 (SUCH AS WATER HEATERS) ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH
 CHAPTER 402 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE ENERGY
 CONSERVATION.
  
 9) HOW WILL THE FOUNDATION WALLS AND CONCRETE FLOOR
 SLAB BE WATER-PROOFED TO PREVENT THE EXCAVATED AREAS
 FROM FILLING WITH WATER. FBC R406.2
  
 10) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R408.4 FOR ACCESS TO UNDER
 FLOOR SPACE.
  
 11) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R408.1 FOR UNDER FLOOR
