 REVIEW COMMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT
  
 PROVIDE A SCALABLE PLAN.
  
 STORAGE ROOMS SHALL BE SEPERATED FROM THE OTHER ROOMS
 WITH A 1-HOUR RATED FIRE WALL AND 45-MINUTE FIRE RATED
 DOOR.
  
 EXIT ACCESS CORRIDORS SHALL BE AT LEAST 6 FEET IN
 WIDTH.
  
 CORRIDORS SHALL BE SEPERATED FROM OTHER AREAS WITH A
 1-HOUR RATED BARRIER AND A 45-MINUTE DOOR.
  
 AN ACCURATE AND DETAILED FURNITURE PLAN MUST BE
 SUBMITTED.
  
 CLUSTER OF OFFICES EXCEEDS 10 PERCENT OF THE OVERALL
 SPACE USED, CLASSIFYING IT AS A NON-SEPERATED MIXED USE
 OCCUPANCY.
 THE LARGE CLASSROOM AREA (LABELED "CAFETERIA" IN THE
 ORIGINAL PLANS) HAS AN AREA WHICH RESULTS IN AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD GREATER THAN 50 PERSONS, CLASSIFYING IT
 AS AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY.
 FOR NON-SEPARATED MIXED USE OCCUPANCIES, THE MOST
 STRINGENT FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF EACH
 OCCUPANCY SHALL APPLY TO THE BUILDING.
  
 PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY PLAN SHOWING ALL OCCUPANCY TYPES,
 OCCUPANT LOADS, FIRE RATED WALLS, EXIT SIGNS, EMERGENCY
 LIGHTING, TRAVEL DISTANCES, COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL ETC.
 THE LOCATIONS OF THE EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY LIGHTS
 MUST BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED.
  
 PROVIDE PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS. EXTINGUISHERS
 SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM RATING OF 2A:10BC AND SHALL BE
 TAGGED BY A LICENSED FIRE EXTINGUISHER COMPANY. TRAVEL
 DISTANCE TO EXTINGUISHERS SHALL NOT EXCEED 75 FEET.
  
 ALL ROOMS SHOULD BE DESIGNATED WITH A NAME OR FUNCTION.
